This charge bar comes packaged with a volume measuring density chart for all of today?s popular powders and detailed setting instructions. This is a disk with a micrometer setting on it to precisely adjust the powder charge. It is always recommended to weigh out charges.

I reload for 30-30, 35 Rem, and 45-70 Marlin lever guns. This powder bar is much more consistent than I was ever able to be with the Lee Dippers. This little toy is the answer I was looking for to meter my IMR 3031 powder. I placed the bar on top of a disk with the 1.57 hole turned to the drop position. All I have to do then is adjust the dial where I want it and add the 1.57 in my head and I have my CC. After a few runs, you get the hang of it. I ordered two of them, but I have not tried stacking them yet. Note: It works great with the (non pro)Lee Auto-Disk Powder Measure.

I switched out the disks for this about two months ago. It throws consistently within 2 tenths of a grain. The only thing is the calibration scale does not correspond to the VMD x grains= cc, I had to use my electronic scale to fine tune it. After that it is very reliable. Speeds up production very well.

Puts out reliable loads every time. The Lee disc powder dispenser should come only with this. Great little contraption that doesn't take long to learn.

This is another fine product from lee. It does what it says it will and I have no notable problems out of it. Just keep track of the CC's to grain weight ratio of the certian type of powder you use, and your set from then on. I highly recommend this product, and it makes your reloading life a lot easier.

Just another fine product from Lee. If there's any question about rather or not the marks are calibrated or not just weight the load and adjust it from there. Lots better than using the disc. because you don't have to take the hopper off to adjust the amount just turn the thumb screw slightly and settings are perfect no slop in the bar everthing is tight. And like all Lee Products they are inexpensive in price also. Greg Shipe

Despite a few negative reviews, I took a chance and purchased this, and I'm glad I did. I have nothing but good to say about it. It is so consistent it is scary. The only near-issue I had was right after installing it, my charge weights started varying wildly. As it turns out, it was developing static, and the powder was sticking to the inside of the charge bar. I took a #2 pencil and coated it with graphite, and have never had an issue since. I like it so much, I bought another one for my other Auto-Disk. Two thumbs up.

This Charge Bar is fully adjustable. This allows you to replace your six hole disk that came with your Lee powder measure and replace it with this one. Now you can dial in an exact amount down to the tenth of a grain or less. When using fine powders like Accurat #5, Hodgens HS-7 or Winchester WST you will appreciate the ability to adjust your powder drop to the tenth of a grain or less. This is something pistol shooters enjoy and something rifle shooters demand.

Much more accurate and effortless for working up new loads than using several disks. You should continue to weigh the new charges after using the VMD calculations and adjust the charge bar accordingly. Much quicker for loading small batches than using a tickler and emptying the powder measure and changing disks every 10-15 rounds. Sorry I waited so long to give it a try!

It is Lee, so as always it is a good valued awesome product. I don't know why I bought it though. With the double disk kit I never need to use this. Forget this and buy the double disk. If you really need to be that precise, I figure you won't be using an auto powder dispenser anyways.

Great. Easy set-up and change. Need to calibrate markings though. Not consistent to Bullseye but close. Can't find a powder they're calibrated with. Might be my mistake. Great help though for the guy who loads lots of different loads, and quick too.

This is a must have if you own the LEE Auto Disk powder measure. I recommend getting or at least looking at the complete Auto Disk Pro update kit that includes this part; you’ll thank me latter. The adjustable powder measure is invaluable for small pistol charges. It makes it much easier to get the proper charge that can be in and you don’t have to disassemble the unit to change the disk. I start out with a light charge and slowly adjust up to the correct charge weighing it at each step. It is better to increase the charge from a lower level because you don’t want to compress the powder in the cavity. So decreasing the charge will require the powder to be evacuated from the unit. I only gave the product 4 stars because I believe it should come with the measure to begin with.

I've used this for about 10 years now and find if very convenient. Works especially well when switching calibers, loads, etc. One disadvantage is that it needs to be fine tuned after you switch the powder charge, but works great once you get it tuned in.

This product is very useful. For the right powders, you can dial in your charges down to the 1/10 grain without having to remove the hopper. I have found it to work well with Win231, Bullseye, and 2400. Get leakage from AA7 and Blue Dot. Though not perfect, definitely worth the price and get it for a better value with the upgrade kit.

Works great in the upper 3/4 of its measurement range with most powders I tried. Bottom 1/4 of the range drop to drop repeatability goes negative exponentially. In other words the error factor gets exponentially bigger as you try smaller and smaller drops. Do not attempt to use only one of these in combination with a regular disk for a double stack --- terrible variance in the drops. If you want to use in a double stack get two and adjust both together. Also, if you pay a little more you can get this along with a bunch of extra goodies including an extra hopper (good for separate double disk set up) by buying the "Lee Auto Disk Powder Measure Update Kit" midway item #155227 instead.

This thing works great for exactly measuring small pistol charges WITH ONE EXCEPTION. When used with a progressive press and small charges make sure the lever on the measure is pulled FULLY DOWN when the platen reaches bottom on the press. Otherwise the charge bar doesn't line up with the hole in the powder canister and you get squib loads. Luckily I learned the easy way suspecting I had squib loads and weighing them (300 loads, whew). Learning the hard way is something I don't like thinking about! Other than that it works great, is very precise and easy to set. 3 stars because of the ease of making an error.

Unless you are using ball powder this item does not work very well. Also, the smaller the charge the worse it performs. Repeatability is almost non existent.

Like others said, depending on which powder you use, and the amount of that powder determines whether this works well or not. I have had it throw from a good charge to almost nothing on the same setting. I am thinking for smaller charge loads I will get my perfect powder measure back out, as you really need to look in each case. Hard to do on a turret press. At best, this charge bar is hit and miss.

I only give this two stars because it doesn't work worth a darn when set to small .cc settings. It does work all right when open to about .6 or more. I emailed Lee and they said that was standard for the adjustable charge bar.

A frustrating tease if you expect accuracy. Works with ball powder fairly well, but even then it is not reliable through the lower half of it's adjustment. Does not empty it's charge very well either. Don't even try to measure flake powders. I had to return the one I bought.

High hopes, poor performance. Graduations are easier to adjust and read than the Perfect measure. Tried HS-6, 2400, Titegroup, 231, 296 and Universal. Not as precise or repeatable as the Perfect measure or the dippers. Lee still hasn't figured out how to dispense 296 without throwing it all over the bench. I prefer the disk shuttles for repeatability. If you must buy one of these, get the auto disk upgrade kit which presently includes an adjustable charge bar. This will give you a spare hopper you can set up for the disk doubler kit. The disk doubler is a more precise and repeatable method.

A friend of mine ordered two of these and gave me one as a gift. I tried using it on a Lee pro 1000 with Titegroup powder loading 9mm. It was pretty frustrating trying to get consistent loads of powder. I thought that this a really neat setup but I never did get it to work with anything close to acceptable accuracy. Out of five, 1 would look be two might be real heavy and two would be too light. I gave up and went back to the disks, they work EVERY time.

Using in Pro-1000 with small grain powder like AA#7, it leaks out the sides. I have powder all over the slide of the measure, the top of the turret, etc. Works well with larger grain powder.

In over 20 years and tens of thousands of rounds I've reloaded, this is the single worst, most unreliable product I have come across to date. In all the time I've been reloading, I've used a LOT of Lee products. Almost all of my bullet casting is with Lee equipment and with little to no problems. But this adjustable powder measure is a KABOOM waiting to happen--especially for wheel gunners. I have NEVER had so many squib loads in the two-plus-decades I've been reloading as I have in the past two weeks with this Lee adjustable powder contraption. I have used the discs flawlessly and the Lee Perfect Powder Measure is my primary powder dumper on the bench. But the adjustable bar is Squib City when used with the auto disc setup. Several reasons. One is that with many powders, it leaks like a sieve so you DO NOT GET proper powder amounts in the case. Another is that the design inhibits it from often times emptying the charge completely. Unfortunately, one star is as low as I could rate this.
