Warne Maxima 1-Piece Steel Weaver-Style Scope Base Thompson Center Encore, Omega, Triumph Matte

Rock-solid steel base. On my .308 encore pistol, I thought about getting a 6-hole steel base to make sure it wouldn't shake loose. No need with this base. This 4-hole base is built like a tank and the Torx screws that came with it were great. I would always recommend blue loc-tite on the base screws for any heavy recoilers. Needless to say, with Burris Signature Zee rings, my scope hasn't moved at all.

I installed the base with no trouble, and mounted a scope using Warne quick detach rings. The installation was very solid and was easily sighted in with no problems. I removed the rings several times and reattached them while shooting groups, and the rifle shot right into the group again very reliably. The base is very well made but heavy, being steel rather than aluminum. I am very happy with the Warne base and feel that while it is expensive, it does what it is supposed to do.
