A tremendous rifle scope for the money! Excellent light transmission and clarity that surpasses that of my Nikon scopes. Its fast focus eyepiece and magnification power ring operate firmly yet freely. It trashes the theory that anything under $200 is garbage. I mounted this one on my latest Marlin 336. In my opinion its compact size makes it ideal for this rifle. Kudos to Bushnell, this scope is a real value. I highly recommend to anyone looking for high quality at a fair price!

Exceptional scope for the money. Very good light transmission and clarity . Tuning was accurate at 1/4 inch AND REPEATABLE throughout the power range with zero point of impact shift at various powers. I have it mounted on a 7mm-08 for PA woods hunting and feel this setup is very good. I am happy with this offering from Bushnell especially for the price.

Yet another optic that proves that you don't have to take out a loan to get something "decent." The best things about this scope are its field of view and the forgiveness of its eye relief. Although not really its intended purpose, I use the 2-7X Legend on a mid-range AR-15 - and it serves that purpose pretty darn well. At 2x, the field of view is considerably wider than most scopes in this power range. It really seems more like 1.5x and can almost be used with both eyes open. The Legend also has finger adjustable adjustments, which I like. The only real negatives I can think of are that at 2x there is a bit of "fish bowl" vision (but hey, a wide FOV!)...and I'm not a big fan of the large, gold writing on the scope. Smaller, grey (even white) writing would improve the looks a bit - not that it really matters that much. It would also be nice if they could make this scope a bit smaller and lighter...but overall, I think this is a pretty good scope for the money.

I'm the owner of a 3-9x40 Bushnell Legend for several years, now, and to this day, I've not been disappointed with the scope. I'd originally bought the Legend for a .22lr, but eventually found it's way to a light-weight .30-06. It's never had a problem holding zero, tracks adequately, and seems to have enough internal adjustment room. A story that testifies to the ruggedness of the Legend; I once had the .22 on a bench, while cleaning it, and accidentally dropped the rifle. The rifle landed scope-first on the ground. Fearing the worst, I took it to the range the next morning. Quick strings at 25 and 50 yards allayed my fears. No shift in POI. A quick check of its tracking revealed no problems. My only complaint with this scope is that its eye-box is a bit unforgiving. Proper, and repetitive technique, however, alleviates this issue. To wrap up, I'm impressed with the scope, and recommend it to those on a budget.
