Excellent mil-spec magazines. They feed ammo flawlessly in my DPMS and Bushmaster ARs. I have several of the previous ones (which had a gray, easily scuffed finish), and 20 of the newer ones with a black finish. The black finish seems more durable and less prone to scuffing. I highly recommend them.

I have 10 of these and just ordered 10 more because they work great. I bought MagPul followers for them and when I got the mags to my surprise the followers that came with the mags were just as good as the MagPul. Only difference is the MagPul are Teflon impregnated. I like the black finish also, it's soft but it's a mag so it's going to get scratches and scuffs anyway.

This is by far the best mag I've come across. Like others who've commented on the AR-Stoners, I've had both the gray easily-scratched type and now the black coated ones, the only difference is what the mags look like. They both function flawlessly. The Bushmaster 30 round mag that came with my M4A3 can have its follower jammed just by pressing on one of its ends. I've tried and tried to get this follower to jam and it just won't comply, for which I am not complaining and am grateful. There isn't a better value to be found than this AR-Stoner mag whether you get it at full price or on sale.

I bought six of these magazines for my Bushmaster A4 the last time they were on sale. I am kicking myself now for not buying more. They feed flawlessly with all brands of ammo and the fit is as good as if not better than my factory magazines. The only drawback I might see for some people is that the finish does scar pretty easily, but makes no difference to me. As long as they still burn through ammo like these do, it's all good.

I bought 20 of these the last time they had them on sale for this price, and I wasn't disappointed. I'm ordering 20 more this time around. All that I purchased ran well in all of my Bushmaster AR-15's. The stand out feature on these magazines are the grey, Generation II Mag-Pul followers. You can take the eraser end of a pencil and press down anywhere on the follower, and it will smoothly depress. I can't do that on some of the other magazines I have with the older green type followers. The last 2 new Bushmasters I've purchased were both shipped from the factory with magazines that had these type of followers. They are the only ones I'll purchase from now on. Another nice feature is each magazine comes individually wrapped in a sealed poly bag and zero scuff marks.

I ordered two of these to try out with my Rock River CAR A4 a couple of months ago. I could not be more happy with their performance. I tested them out with Wolf and Monarch ammo. Both are good practice rounds, but both are fairly dirty rounds. They were easy to load and insert even after a few hundred rounds and no cleaning. I did replace the original followers with Magpul's self leveling followers. But other than that, they are stock. Now that they are coming with the Magpul followers, I'm ordering a new batch of 12 to make the most of range time.

Great magazines, but BE ADVISED! Bought 10 of these - one was incorrectly manufactured: the two halves of the magazine shell were misaligned by about 1/16" and it wouldn't feed. Kudos to Midway; they sent a replacement pronto, no hassle. The replacement and all the others (and I've bought these before with the green follower) functioned flawlessly. As with any combat equipment, INSPECT them before you put them into service.

I ordered 2, both look cheap but that wasn't my concern at all. I gave 5 stars because first of all: all drop free from my CMMG lower, both feed very well during live fire test and the MagPul follower seems to be superb, guaranteed shoving your 30rnds all the way through. Thanks MidwayUSA!

These mags (I bought 10 from Midway) functioned without incident on 55-62gr FMJ cartridges with a Bushmaster M4 "BUT" I had several misfeeds with the 45gr JHP varmit rounds by Winchester. Could be the bullet weight? Good value. FYI: Always test a mag prior to use in combat situations such as a patrol rifle.

After a weekend of hard use, approximately 1500 rounds, tac loads, speed loads, getting dropped in the dirt and kicked around, they continue to work fine. The finish is soft, though, and they show a lot of finish wear sooner than you might expect. They are a good deal at the sale price point. At the regular price, I would choose the PMag first.

I have four of these magazines, they fit tight in a mega machine lower and do not drop free so -1. As others have stated the finish is soft but it's a magazine, the finish is not that important as long as it feeds ammo without jamming up and it does.

I have bought 20 of these mags. 10 had the gray finish that I purchased more than a year ago and recently 10 with the black finish. I have not had any problems with any of them. However, the black mags do not feel as sturdy as the gray mags. I can press on the sides of the black mags and feel it give and that is not the case with the gray mags. I would not say this is a problem but just an observation.

Bought 3 mags. One small complaint. The front welds of the two halves on the mags were not completely flat, so the left side of the front of the mag had a very slight angle. It made my longest reloads (which fit in other mags) just a thou or two too long to feed properly in these mags. For mil-spec ammo it would not be a problem, but there is a thou or two less clearance in these mags than in my other mags. Other than that, great.

Ive brought 40 of these into my home and some work great and alas some just suck. Some have sharp edges at the tops of the mags and it looks like they weren't finnished or were rushed to get them to market. Others have weak springs that wont push the rounds to the top and start jamming after about 10 rounds or so. I would look at other mags first like some HK mags or original colt mags or even factory Bushmasters first. If your life depends on it to function go with the HK instead, they are worth the extra cake !!!

I bought several of these. Went to the range with them. Mag after mag worked fine. Then bam. Jam. Looked at the mag, and the bullets were seated low. The bullet would not leave the magazine when the action moved forward. I had to work on the mag for about an hour to make it work. It was a fraction too skinny, I wedged in my Leatherman, and widened the mag lips, and I used a file to bring the front down a little. Mag works fine now, but I would not trust my life to it. I wrote "Bad" on it, so it only gets used at the range. Also...All the other mags worked fine.

First let me say that I'm a former Marine with combat experience and currently an LEO with 15 years of manufacturing sandwiched in between. I don't want to rain on anyone's parade or step on toes of those who gave these mags 5 stars but give Bubba a sheer press, a stamping die and tack welder he can make better mags than these. When I pulled the first one out of the bag, I was sure these were cheep Chinese imports. But Midway says they are of U.S. manufacture. The spine had a very sharp edge where the sheer press cut the metal and was not smoothed down (could give your hand a nasty slice.) The front had a gap that when I turned off my shop lights and shined a green LED light I saw a green glow inside the mag body. Can you say water, mud, grit and grime on ammo to create that major malfunction just at the most inopportune time? The tack welds were not evenly spaced or close to the center line of the magazine body. To me this shows a total lack of both Good Manufacturing Practices and poor quality control, not to mention lack of pride in workmanship. If quality and workmanship go in on the front end then dependability will be the outcome. These certainly will not go in my tactical bag. If all you do is recreational shooting, then these will probably be usable. At the "sale price", for only a couple of dollars more one can get a quality magazine with a REAL MagPul follower that you may have to bet your life on and come out a winner. The most common cause for weapon malfunctions are in the magazine. Don't let these be your weak piece of equipment.

I bought four of these mags for my S&W M&P15. Two had feed lips that were deformed and would not feed. One had lips that were so badly misshapen that I could not even load it. I regret that I only returned those three, because I certainly don't trust my last one now. Although it feeds, it is obvious that the feed lips aren't shaped quite right.
