VLD (Very Low Drag) bullets have the highest possible ballistic coefficient designed for 300 yards or more. These bullets are less affected by wind and expand rapidly upon impact. VLD bullets feature a sharp nose that allows the bullet to penetrate 2" to 3" before they begin to expand. They were designed to shed 40% to 85% of its weight for a large amount of internal damage, producing wound cavities approximately 13" to 15" in length. Please note that the bullet should be touching the rifling when loaded and won't work in most magazines. This is not loaded ammunition.

What can I say? Just that this is the best bullet I've ever shot out of my 300 wsm. It took me only 3 different powder weights to find a sub-1/2 MOA load. I chronoed the load and it ended up to have an average MV of 2,905 w/ a 2.98" COAL out of a 24" Shilen barrel. I also tested the bullet for accuracy and expansion at 1,070 yards since I'm going to be using these for long range hunting. Accuracy at this range was pure awesome, but expansion was even better!!! I found three bullets in the dirt, and all three weighed exactly 205 grns, that's 98% weight retention!!! The diameter of the bullets after expansion were .63" at 1,070 yards!!! I've seen less expansion and weight retention at 300 yards with some bullets. The only bad thing about theses bullets is that I run out of them quick. A few people say that the meplate is an issue, but it is more uniform than the Sierra's I've shot in the past. You won't be disappointed in this product. Just shoot Berger LTD an e-mail if you need load data.

Excellent bullets. Weight of each individual bullet was within acceptable ranges. Accuracy was also excellent. I highly recommend these for any reloader looking for accuracy.

One of the best bullets ever. I use this on my 300wsm, loading with Reloader 19 and Winchester magnum primer, and sitting it right on the lands. honestly I can't ask for better; the best group I got with this is 0.978" at 700 yards. the worst group was 2.5" at 700 yards, which I am sure that was shooter's error not the ammo's inconsistency.

The 210gr VLD Berger preformed great in my 300 RUM. I used CCI 250 primers and Retumbo powder for my first load in my Remington Model 700 SPP. The load posted a .550 3-shot group. I feel I have great starting point to work forward from. The good things I have heard about these bullets are indeed true. I can't wait to see how much better these bullets get, and also see how they perform on a Fall Elk & hopefully Mule Deer Hunt in Wyoming. Again GREAT BULLETS
