Very inexpensive and accurate reloading tool! Can reload a box of .45-70 in about 30 minutes. Works great!

Loads extremely accurate rounds and is easy to use. Although I have a single stage press and a lee hand press, this is my favorite.

Very well made and performs as advertised. The only thing you will absolutely need is a nice plastic hammer and a place to work. Also picked up Lee Powder Measure set and a scale to verify loads as well as a brush set to clean out primer pockets and cases. Makes a perfect round every time. I'm using the Hornady 350 grain round nose jacketed (Product #633227).

Simple, clear and well designed. Turns out consistently good ammunition. Slow at first, with a little practice can turn out ~50 an hour. If you plan to load cast bullets you will need to order the case flaring tool separately to avoid 'shaving' bullets. It is not standard with the 45-70 set as it is in 44 mag or 45 LC.

First the good: This is marvel of simplicity and engineering and does the job at a great price. My complaint: In 45-70, the set as sold is NOT everything needed to reload the cartridge since it does not include a tool to flare out the case mouth to seat the bullet. You have to order this as a special order although some sets have the flare tool included in the standard set. If you are using cast bullets you will need this tool. Be aware of this.

This is perfect for anyone who wants to try out reloading for almost zero investment! I'm hooked now. I bought this to load hot rounds for my Marlin Guide gun. The only caution I offer is that lever rifles need a crimp on the bullet, as pressure is exerted on each bullet in the tubular magazine. The next step for me is a Lee Turret Press with a crimp die. A great product!
