I have very good experience with lee pistol dies. This particular caliber die set has loading close to 40,000 rounds and still drops accurate ammo - meets competition accuracy. I have yet to see one round fail, loading progressively on a Dillon 650. The best thing on this set is the factory crimper which corrects any bump on the case after seating or expanding. Ensures good feeding even on those tight chambers. This is the best product for pistol dies. You even get a free shell holder!! WoW!!

Very nice dies. I use with the auto disk powder measure and turret press and knock out great quality ammo very quickly. The factory crimp die is, in my opinion, the only way to go because it insures the ammo will function even if you manage to deform a case earlier in he process. Produces very uniform crimp.

Being a serious handgun competitor, I wouldn’t touch any Lee product with a ten foot pole. I thought cheap price meant cheap performance. All that changed when an accident caused me to lose all my loaded 45ACP ammo the day before a match. I was forced upon by fate to load in my cousin's shop who was a crazy Lee fan. I used a Lee single stage classic press and Lee 45ACP dies. What a revelation!! I was able to finish loading in 2 hours. The powder die was a blessing which flared the case mouth too. Factory crimp die ironed out bulges and dents which come from oversize bullets or mishandling. The lee press was solid tool and flying decapped primers were curiously absent. I was able to shoot the match w/ no failure to feed or fire. Rounds were great and allowed me a 2nd place finish. After this experience, I have come to the conclusion that cheap doesn't mean lousy anymore. I have taken some time to examine other Lee tools and I have to say many are superior to ones I've used which cost twice as much! I would also recommend Lee collet dies in 243 win. Shrunk my groups by 0.5" in first use! Lee must be a miracle company!

These dies have worked great. They do everything they are supposed to for a great price. I have loaded the most accurate .45 ammo that I have ever shot using these dies. The crimp die is great for feeding reliability and the bullet seating die seats bullets very consistently.

These dies are comparable to dies that cost much more. The factory crimp die is a must have. I will not load 45acp without this die. Every time I see a malfunctioning 45 I supect bad reloads, the factory crimp die makes every round fit the chamber perfectly. No malfunctions, EVER.

I have tried many dies for loading and find the Lee dies measure up to even to the most expensive ones. And only Lee dies have the powder thru expander dies which when used with the Lee auto disk powder measure results in a convenience NOT POSSIBLE in any other brand of dies in the universe. I finally settled on Lee dies after going thru other brands. Don't do what I did. Get the best immediately. Get the LEE dies!

I've used every die made commercially and even produced a few sets from scratch and I'm here to tell you, if you want top quality at the best imaginable price, go with the Lee’s. They require less maintenance and consistently produce top performing ammo in everything I shoot, rifle or pistol. Every adventure I've taken with other brands at vastly greater cost has always resulted in my opting back to Lee. The inclusion of shell holder, the excellent performance and the factory crimp dies they produce make the purchase of this product a no-brainer, believe me. They'll even produce the same excellent quality dies for your pet wildcat cartridge far cheaper than you can or anyone else will.

These dies worked as promised and are a great value. The only thing I think that could have been better with these dies are the lock rings. This would be a perfect product if they had a hex screw threaded into the lock ring so I wouldn’t have to adjust them every time I took them out of my turret press. Other than that they are perfect and of good quality. Free shell holder a very nice benefit.

Outstanding value for dies. Sizing die sizes just right for Hornady XTP and lead bullets. Powder thru expanding die facilitates auto charging and case mouth expansion in one stroke!. Bullet seat die is easiest to adjust and keeps setting. Factory crimp die post sizes the case, removes buldges and assures smooth chambering in my 1911. Finished rounds are pro-looking, very accurate and dies have durability of any other die (20,000 rounds and 5 years of hard use so far. )Free shellholder and load data are excellent add ons. Lee dies are just the bessssssst deal! If you buy another brand, maybe you need to see a shrink!

I have used these dies in 45, 38/357, 30-06, 308 and 35 Rem. I will not buy anything else. I started out using other brands and still have some calibers that I do not have Lee dies for. Every time I have to use those other dies it reminds me that I need to upgrade to Lee. The finger tip adjustments of the dies are a blessing. No pliers or wrenches needed. And the factory crimp dies from Lee are the best thing going. I have one for every caliber I reload for and I have seen first hand the difference they make in the overall quality and accuracy of my ammo. Just a well designed die set overall. If you buy anything else you are taking a step backwards!

I have been using RCBS dies almost exclusively and was having trouble with slight case bulging when using their 45 ACP bullet seating die. The bulge was just enough to prevent my handgun from locking up into battery. The only way I could get reliable feeding was to not crimp the cases at all. I prefer to have a crimp, so I purchased this Lee set with the carbide Factory Crimp die and it works flawlessly! I have now loaded over 1000 rounds with the Lee 4 die set and have had no bullet feeding issues with my 45 auto. It does a great job of crimping and a final resize to make sure it will chamber well. It works very well. I plan to buy another Lee 4 die set in 9mm Luger.

I liked the three die set but adding the factory crimp die makes a HUGE difference! I always had a bit of trouble setting bullet depth and crimp on the combination die. On some hollow points with exposed lead I'd have problems with deformation of the bullet tip or the crimp wouldn't be quite enough. The crimp die fixed all that plus it post resizes the case. It is just an all around awesome set up. I've added the Factory Crimp Die to all my die sets!

Highly recommended.

The fact that this product has 5 stars with as many reviews here as it does ought to tell you all you need, but if not, Lee makes some of the best reloading equipment you can buy, period. Their dies are easily the best value on the market. I have this set, and 2 others, and have never had a single problem making ammo that shoots accurately every time. The Powder Through Expander die is, even on a single-stage press, a convenience the other makers haven't yet figured out. Highly recommended!

These have got to be the easiest to use dies there are. The first hand loads I made I used these dies. The instructions are simple, the quality may seem a little rough at first, but I was able to make great ammo right out of the gate. The Factory Crimp Die resizes the finished ammo so that you are practically guaranteed that your rounds will chamber. A great product at a great value.

The post-size die is indispensable. I ordered 1000 rds of reloadable Blazer ammo which kept keeping my gun (Kimber CDP II) from going into battery. I ran the rounds through the post-sizer and have eliminated the problem.

This was the first set of lee dies I have used. They worked very very well! The taper crimp die worked well also. Instructions that come with the set are very easy to understand. Not to mention the extra shell holder was a plus. The reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 would be they have a little cheaper metal than a nice set of Hornadys or RCBS dies. The seater adjust screw is a cheap Aluminum. Never the less I got great accuracy in my 45ACP. The price is great. I will definitely buy more lee from now on for my new rifles.

Excellent dies overall. My main complaint is that they don't fit well in my Dillon XL650. You can make them fit, but just barely. You'd think dies with seperate seating and crimping would be specially designed for progressive machines. The only other complaint is that new winchester cases tend to get stuck in them. This isn't a problem with once fired winchester or other brands.

I use the dies on a Lee Four Stage Turret Press. The taper crimp is performed by the Factory Crimp Die. Works very well. The biggest problem I seem to have is movement of the seating die stem. It shifts during loading, so I am always worring that the seating depth has changed. I check C.O.L. every 10-15 rounds to be sure I am staying on track. Otherwise, dies seem to perform very well.

Great features. Innovative design. But I wish their machine shop would do a better job on internal finishing. The crimp die scrapes brass shavings from mouth of the shell. After 50 rounds the die showed considerable brass shaving build up. I ask the factory to send some that were finished better, but the replacements were no better. I am using an old RCBS taper crimp die that has made thousands of rounds with no need for cleaning.
