Designed for professionals in the field, the Lancer L5 magazine has a list of features that is hard to beat. The translucent body is impact resistant even to extreme temperatures from -50F to +180F, which is excellent for storage while loaded in unconditioned vehicles. The translucent body and round count markers at 20 and 30 rounds allow the operator to quickly identify the ammunition status of the magazine. This unique design features corrosion resistant feed lips permanently molded to the magazine body. Unlike many other magazines, this design enables the magazine to withstand 5' loaded drops on the feed lips without damage. A rubber coated floor plate, textured body, and drop free design ensure rapid, reliable magazine changes under varying conditions.

I only have about 50-60 rounds through each of 2 mags that I bought, but so far they are flawless. With the metal feed lips molded into the polymer body, they function just fine, even on rapid fire when they tend to heat up a bit more than usual. I have read where other polymer mags have had problems where the polymer feed lips tend to weaken from excess heat, but I don't think that is going to be a problem with these. Buy several while you can.

Excellent, Magazine function is flawless. I like the coated steel feed lips. They don't deform even when dropped loaded. They are endorsed by the NTOC.

Loads and functions very well. Left loaded for several months and functioned with no ill effects. Well made item and have had no problems with the follower. Drops free from my M&P-15 every time. I will be ordering several more.

Not sure what Shad S is talking about- these are great mags. Magazines are made to feed rounds, not fingers. Poking your finger into the mag and making the follower tilt shows nothing about the reliability of the mag. I have over 3,000 rounds thru the 6 I have and have never had a magazine problem at all. (BTW- the black follower is an upgrade from the previous green follower they had.)

I purchased two of these mags. Put more than 1,000 rounds through each using my Sig 556. Not a single failure (partly due to the awesome Sig, and partly because of the awesome magazine). I'm definetly going to try out the Lancer 48 rounder next.

I picked up one of these on a whim to see if my AR would like it. I ran three other magazines worth of ammo through my Bushmaster A3 rifle as fast as I could fire, then loaded up the lancer and let it sit for about 2 minutes to see if the heat would soften it or cause feeding issues. The polymer was hot from the radiated heat, but did not feel any softer for it. I loaded the full mag back into the weapon and fired all 30 rounds flawlessly. As much as like P-mags, I find it easier to reference the levels in these, and I'm ordering several more as soon as my tax return hits!!

Mine came with Black followers Fit perfectly in my DPMS AP4 (same as my DPMS mags fit) Loaded with 30 rounds and cycled them thru my rifle, no problems, no tilt. Very nice quality and look great. No 5 stars because I have not taken them to the range yet.

I have used these magazines a few times now without any problem. I like being able to see how many rounds I have left in the magazine and I like the steel feed lips, which should mean that it will last longer. I don't care for the follower, it may be mil-spec but it's not a 4 way anti tilt follower like what is found in most of the AR magazines on the market. MagPul followers will not work with this magazine and MagPul P-mag followers are close but not close enough to work correctly. The floor plate is of its own design and not interchangeable with any other type of AR mag. However the spring appears to be interchangeable with mil-spec 30 round magazines.

Junk. Black Followers produce extreme amount of tilt. Do not trust these magazines with your life. Lancer needs to improve their followers, then they would have an awesome polymer product. Can only give two stars because they are equal to black follower USGI mags.
