This ammo seems to be laser-guided out of my Marlin 336. Wherever I wish the bullet to go, it goes. I took a mule deer with it last year, it was down in 3 seconds. In and out with a 1 1/2 inch exit wound.

I hunt deer and elk with my Marlin carbine is this caliber. I tried a box of Winchester ammo, but the accuracy was less than ideal. In contrast, this Remington ammo will shoot into a 2 inch group at 100 yards consistently. I agree with Paula, two chest shots into a bull elk and it's all over quickly. Mule deer and whitetails nearly always topple where they stand. This 200 grain bullet hits hard and holds together for deep penetration. I'm thankful for Remington core-lokt ammo. Neil

I got my 35 Remington Rifle on Christmas Day 1969. I have only used these type bullets. Good knock down power and will not deflect easily if you hit a small twigg. Good Brush and close in bullet, out to 100 yards.

Hunting the hard woods of NY and PA I have found that these 200 grain Remington soft points perform excellent. Every deer I've shot dropped in their tracks and never had one go more than two steps. All shots were under 100 Yrds, and with a Marlin 336, 4x Burris scope. My least accurate rifle. This combo does a 2 inch group at a 100 yds. Not a long range cartridge but I'm convinced that the 35 REM and 30-30 WIN are probably the best short range cartridges for whitetail ridge runners.

I use this loading in both my Remington 141 pump rifle, and my 14" bbl. Contender pistol. At 110 measured yards, struck at base of neck head on, will travel full length of medium sized whitetail buck right down the backbone from my rifle, perfect mushroom, recovered bullet at base of tail, instant kill, no tracking, did mess up the back straps completely. Groups 1.25-1.5" groups @ 100 yards with 4X scope. Granted there is large muzzle flash out of the contender, but hey it's a rifle cartridge. Buy it when ever I can, and when I can't, I buy the Remington bullet to roll my own with. Keep up the good work Remington

Definitely my favorite ammo for my Marlin 336CS. I've had my Marlin since 1984, and I tried the new Hornady when it first came out and while it is definitely hotter, I can't group nearly as well with it....I have seen some discussion on the Micro-Groove rifling just liking the slower ammo. There is no better ammo for this 100 yard classic.
