Went from a standard barrel to this. Now it will shoot the groups I knew the Ruger could. It will outshoot my .920 factory Ruger hands-down.

As with a couple of the previous reviews, this barrel is ammo-specific. And it won't shoot the Stingers, just like the company says. However, if you lightly "touch" the chamber with a "Stinger" reamer, it solves that problem. Now, this barrel is awesome for the price....again, one-hole groups at 25 yards, routinely (with Remington Yellow Jackets). If you want to make your 10-22 shoot like a champ, then get this barrel. But, do yourself a favor and try different brands/types of ammo (your gun will let you know which one it likes the best), then stick with what it likes!

I bought this barrel from a retail store and not off of midway. I've bought other things from midway and have never been disappointed. I just wanted to review this product anyway. If I would have had the opportunity, I would have ordered it from midway. This barrel is nicely made. It has a recessed crown. I bought it with a stock and barrel combo package. It fit very nice and tight in the stock. One recommendation I would make is to clean this barrel hardcore before shooting it. I didn't attach it right away. I punched the bore until a perfectly clean patch came out from the shipping/packing chemicals. The blued finished also needs cleaning. Initially, it had somewhat of a rust colored residue come off of it but the barrel was not rusty whatsoever. I soaked it in CLP for a day or two. The barrel fit tight and secure into the 10/22 action. The Adams & Bennett logo on the side appears to be machined or laser cut and is very nice. I'm still waiting on my scope to come in that I ordered from midway to report on its performance. But as far as fitting, looks, and finish, this is a 1st class barrel.

I bought a Ruger 10-22 to use for youth shooting day at the range. I decided to try and make a shooter out of it. I installed this barrel and a Hogue over molded stock. Installation was easy with a drop of blue loctite on the boss. (mates the barrel solidly). I ran Tubbs break in ammo through the barrel, cleaned the whole gun thoroughly to remove the polishing grit and mounted a good scope. MAGIC!! One hole groups at 25 yds. Break in ammo loosens up the chamber as well. Now shoots any .22 ammo without a hitch. Great barrel for the price. This is now my number one small game gun.

This barrel is the best I have ever used. When using Wolf Match Extra ammo, I get a 10 shot group under 3/4" at 50 yards. The bluing on these barrels is BEAUTIFUL, and the logo looks classy too. Definitely more accurate than Green Mountain. One warning: Stay away from CCI ammo, it won't load any CCI I have tried including Subsonic HP's, also never shoot Stinger's through it. Stick with Eley or Wolf. Do yourself a favor and get this barrel over the more "popular" and mass produced barrels.

An excellent value with the stock/barrel combo. Excellent finish and bore. Have fired approximately 300 rounds. Best center to center group to date is .18" at 25 yards off a Harris Bipod. Single hole groups are the norm for this barrel.

This is a great barrel! 30 min. installation. After initial sighting in at 50 yards, 10 shot groups could be completely covered with a Lincoln Penny!!

This barrel is an absolute steal for the price. It took under a half hour for me to install it. Since then my 10/22 has been able to outshoot rifles built by all of my friends, regardless of the money they put into theirs. This barrel is well made with an excellent finish. The chamber is machined well and the bore is perfect.

Great barrel for the price. Very easy to install and very accurate. Average 10 shot groups at 50 yards are between .5" to 1" with several different types of ammo depenging how hard I try. Never bothered measering groups at 25 yards since all shots are more or less though one hole.

I have owned this barrel for more than a year now and it is a stellar rifle barrel. Very consistent groups with a variety of ammunition. For low cost shooting, mine works well with Federal Automatch and I can print one hole groups at 25 and sub dime sized groups at the 50 with the factory trigger and cheap scope. Easy installation once you get the factory barrel freed from the receiver, nice recessed muzzle, attractive branding on the side, decent bluing, overall high quality workmanship. Highly recommend if you can find one. They seem to be scarce these days.

MIDWAY USA...PURCHASED ONE OF YOUR ADAM-BENNITT 1022 BARREL'S DUE TO YOUR REVIEWS AND PLANNED TO INSTALL IN A NEW HOGUE STOCK ALSO PURCHASED FROM YOU. BEFORE FINISHING I MOUNTED A TACTICAL SOLUTIONS SCOPE RAIL ATOP THE RECEIVER OF MY 1022 AND ADDED A BUSHNELL TROPHY RED DOT SCOPE WHICH CAN BE USED FOR NIGHT/DAY TARGETS. THIS SCOPE HAS A 3 MOA,10 MOA AS WELL AS A CROSS HAIR AND A 65 MOA WITH 3MOA DOT INSIDE. THIS WILL COVER ANY TARGET SITUATION ONE MIGHT RUN INTO. INSTALLED A TRIGGER TO LIGHTEN UP THE TRIGGER PULL TO 2 1/4 LBS. AFTER MATCHING ALL OF THESE COMPONETS A TRIP TO THE RANGE. ABSOLUTELY PERFECT, ACCURATE , VERY FAST TARGET ALIGHNMENT, A COMPLETE SNIPER RIFLE, A TARGET RIFLE. A HOME PROTECTION GUN FOR THE LITTLE LADY. UNBELIEVABLE...... THIS IS A HAVE TO HAVE....

I have had this barrel in stainless for about 5-6 years now and I have been absolutely thrilled with this barrel...it consistently shoots .5 inch groups at 50 yards and with good match ammo and a clear highpower scope will shoot around 1 inch at 100...after prolly around 8000 to 10000 rounds through the gun i have closely inspected the bore and it seems that all these rounds have actually mad the gun more accurate...it seems all the lead has polished the steel to a mirror shine inside

I built this 10/22 over the last month. I used my old rifle bought in 1971. It’s still in real good shape but I wanted to build a Tactical looking rifle. I purchased the Fajen Legacy stock because of the views I read on this sight and Fajen sight. I decided on the Adams and Bennett .920 Blue barrel based on having used one before, it is a very well made, well finished barrel, easy break in and accuracy is as good as I can shoot. 3/8" 10 shot groups at 25 yards and Postage stamp groups at 50 yards. I also purchased a 3-12 X 40mm BSA Contender scope. It has the adjustable optic focus so you can focus as close as 10 yards out to whatever. Optics are good and clear. Overall my new rifle is Killer looking with Killer accuracy.

Update on this barrel. My 10/22 continues to be a real tack driver with this barrel. . .but some lead rounds hang up feeding. No problem with copper jacketed rounds but I wanted a fix. I took the barrel off and used a Dremel tool with a fine chain saw stone to radius the bottom of the chamber just a touch to make a feed ramp effect. Polished with the cotton bullet tool and polishing compound. BE CAREFUL just a slight radius. The rifle now feeds any 22LR ammo made. Functions flawlessly with identical accuracy. Good fix for the sharp corner.

Very well made and accurate, just as the other reviews indicate. I only give it 4 stars however because the "match" chamber is so tight that some brands of ammo will not fully seat in the chamber every time. I didn't even try Stingers as I know these definitely will not work. Anyway, this leaves the bolt open a few extra thousandths of an inch and the 10/22 hammer is partially blocked from a clean firing pin strike by the bottom of the bolt. American Eagle 22 LR works okay with only a few misfires. PMC Scoremaster rarely works because of the bullet shape and forward diameter is a little oversize compared to other 22 LR ammo. I will have to try a bunch of brands to find what works the best. I have heard Wildcats should work well. Happy Shooting. BTW, in case you didn't know, Midway is an excellent place to buy from.
