The Powder Baffle assures even powder density and consistent charges. Features an all-metal precision die-cast zinc construction and is spring-loaded for a better powder seal. Fits all MEC shotshell presses.

Features:

  • Aluminum baffle designed to produce even powder density and powder seal.

    Instructions for use with unit:
  • Install universal charge bar (not included)
  • Remove rubber grommet from powder opening
  • Place brass washer on top of bar
  • Install rubber grommet
  • Screw in powder baffle
  • Screw powder bottle into baffle
    Notes:
  • Brass washer only acts as a powder seal

    Yes this does make a difference. Prior to installing the baffle I weighed charges thrown-mostly within half a grain of differnce. After installing the baffle the charges are right on the money--less than 1/10 of a grain of difference. A big improvement.

    I have been using this baffle for about 6 months on my Mec 9000G. I noticed the only thing I had to do was to slow down when loading. The faster I loaded, the less accurate the baffle became. Load a little slower and it works great. Pretty darn accurate. Far better than without one.

    Provides a consistent powder drop. Prevents bridging especially when the powder bottle is near full. Useful gadget for the money.

    Does seem to improve charge consistency, especially as the powder levels get low in the hopper.
