The Lee 3 Hole Turret Press is a proven spring-free design with compound leverage. The turret is locked into a solid steel ring with big rifle bolt type lugs. Patented design puts the lugs on the circumference to prevent tipping. The linkage is so powerful that the largest magnum cases are sized with little effort. Features built-in primer catcher, long stroke, generous hand clearance and a comfortable wood grip. Purchase extra turrets and never remove the dies. Simply lift out the entire turret and replace with the next caliber. Dies, shellholders and primer arm can be changed in seconds without tools.

For the price I wanted to give the turrent press a try. Excellent value. I size, flare, remove the brass to prime with Lee priming tool, then charge, and return to the press to seat the bullet. I was amazed at the time saved. Whish I had bought this 20 year ago. No more single stage!

I needed only about $100 to start loading 9mm w/ this tool. It is great. After a while, i bought the auto-index 3 hole update kit from the factory for $30. THis speeded up the loading to about 200 per hour. When Lee came out of the factory crimp die, I also bought one for my 44 mag and bought also the 4 holer update kit for $20. So i can post size on the turret and still go fast enough to crank out 150 -200 rounds/hr. This turret is a great tool- certainly faster than other turret presses and dirt cheap! I might soon buy the pro1000 upgrade kit if my round count rises to 400 per session. But the basic Lee turret will be always a tool on my bench. Lee turret is the most versatile for the money!!

This is the best tool going for the money! I own two and am getting ready to purchase my third and will have less money in all three than any one of the more expensive presses, all of which I have used, including the DILLON; none outperformed the LEE.

I am happy that "serious" reloaders consider Lee as "crap". That keeps their prices low. With just common sense usage of the Lee-stuff, it will last forever. If .0001 precision is necessary for competition, then buy an orange, green or blue press. I doubt if it would make a difference, but to have a Porsche is something, even if the speed limit is 75 mph everywhere.

I bought this press a couple of years ago and I am impressed with the performance. Leave it to Lee to make affordable great products right here in the USA. I have loaded thousands of rounds on it without a single problem. I am getting ready to upgrade to the big red Lee Loadmaster, but I will NEVER get rid of this one. I have loaded everything from 9mm Luger to 7mm Rem Mag in this press, sizing the 7mm Rem Mag gives it a good workout but it never misses a beat. I don't use the priming system on this press, as I use the Lee Autoprime. I also bought several other turrets for this press so I can keep all of my dies setup are ready to drop in and go. I would recommend this great product to anyone.

A top value for the beginner or someone wanting to graduate from a single stage. I now recommend THIS as the best first press to start with over any SS press! Leave the dies set up...switching back and forth to different stages or even calibers is simple. It's a major convenience for very little added cost. Say you goober up a few rounds and "oh man I need 3 more for an even 20" no problem just rotate back deprime/size 3 more pull em out prime (I like the auto prime myself...have never tried the one the press has) seat and crimp (love the factory crimp die to) bam...your done. Imagine all the swapping and resetting the poor SS press owner would go through. BUY IT! or get the auto indexing 4 hole!

I bought this 6 years ago to reload .45 GAP ammo. Lee Precision helped me modify my 45 ACP die set and it works better than the new .45 GAP die sets now available. I reload 6 different calibers of handgun ammo and three rifle calibers and I am very satisfied. I have all the dies setup in their own turrets and changing calibers is a snap. I don't use the 4th die, so this setup suits me fine.

Have owned one of these presses for over 15 yrs, loaded many thousands of round, .45, 38/357, 9mm, 38 super and 44 Mag. Recently (26nov.08} connector link failed, sent it to Lee on Fri 28 Nov for repair, press was returned the following Friday completely rebuilt with all the new upgrades. Lee Precision never charged me anything for the services rendered, not a red cent. Anything will eventually wear out or break with use. This is a testimony to what a fine company Lee Precision is. They do value their customers. I have always been very satisfied with the performance of this tool and recommend it highly.

This is simply the best press for the money I have used. There is no reason to buy a single stage press at any price. Only complaint is spent primers go everywhere.

I have owned 2 of these presses for about 12 years now and I have never considered anything else. The Lee presses are among the best. I am an avid shooter and reloader, and it has exceeded all of my expectations. The price is a PLUS as well.

Personal confession: I haven't done any reloading in about six years. BUT for about 15 years before that I did a lot of handgun reloading, mostly .45ACP and .357Mag, as well as some .30/06 and .223. I used the Lee Turret Press constantly, in all of its incarnations (manual, auto-index, and Pro1000). It's a good press, especially for the price. But the aluminum base casting and levers DO wear. Keep the ram lubricated!! I liked the Pro1000 -- the four-hole version now available would have been nice to have back then -- but you have to pay close attention when setting it up, not to mention while loading. I did find, though, that when disaster strikes during a progressive session it's easier to untangle a Pro1000 than a Loadmaster. Make sure the primer chute is utterly, absolutely, spotlessly clean! Some people swear by the auto-index mode. Myself, I found it just as easy to rotate the turret by hand; the indexer kept getting out of adjustment. But they've probably improved the design by now. (People love the Dillon 550, and you index that by hand, too...) As a manual press, it's as good as any other press, and you have the convenience of easy turret change. It's plenty strong, but again, watch out for wear in the aluminum parts! If I were starting all over again, I'd unquestionably go with Lee equipment, but I'd get the Classic version with the steel base and lever. I can't complain too much, though; I loaded more than 25,000 rounds before the aluminum version started to feel a little sloppy...

My only complaint is that the ram doesn't line up with the dies. Mine is off by a 1/4th of an inch and has defied attempts to correct it. I turn the shell holder to allow the case to move sideways and thus make the press the press useable. I have been loading this way for over thirty years with no other problems.
