This ammo is one of the best, most consistent 22 LR ammunition I have ever used in any Rifle or Pistol. Years ago before there were all these different loads, this exact same load from Federal was plainly called the "22 classic". I used to buy it in 500 count bulk boxes at the department store for about $6.00 a box. Same 36 grain copper plated hp bullet at 1260 fps. I have been target shooting, plinking and small game hunting with this round for over 20 years and I love it. Works great out of my 10/22 and Buckmark semi-auto's. I have also used it in bolt actions and lever actions with great accuracy and consistency. I do use Wolf target for match bolt action shooting, but for anything else, this round is tops. Its close brother the 38 grain American Eagle is definitely worth a look at also. Federal knows about 22 ammunition!!

This ammo is great, the recoil is a bit different in my 10/22 from the Remington value pack and burns cleaner too but they shoot about the same.

I shoot with a Sig Mosquito and as EVERYONE knows this gun is very picky about it's ammo but I haven't had a single problem when using this ammo! No Jams or Duds! And its SO much cheaper than CCI mini mags!

The value is hard to beat if you are looking for plinking ammo. It's plenty accurate for anything short of a serious competition. I have put several 1000 rds, maybe as much as 6-7000 rds of this ammo through a Walther P-22, Might have had maybe 1 dud pr brick. I've had some feeding problems but, I'm leaning towards issues with the magazines more than the ammo. And like I said ... with regards to the accuracy ... shooting without any rest or support ... it's more my marksmanship than the ammo that is in question LOL

Reliable (only 2 duds out of 1,000), feeds well, fairly clean and cheap! Accuracy not the greatest (80% consistency), but the 5 stars is for the "value" due to price. Great for plinking.

Feeds best of all the bulk .22LR ammo in my Ruger 10/22. No jams, no misfires and no stovepipes. No problems with feeding from Eagle brand plastic magazines. Quarter-sized groups at 50 yards.

I've shot only this stuff because I've not had a single misfire, jam, or misfeed, out of the 11,000 rds fired from my factory 10/22, with either Eagle or Butler Creek mags.

I've shot a lot of this stuff because it was the cheapest stuff I could find. I've never had a dud, I get about 1 per brick with Remington rimfire. I've shot most of it through a 10/22 with tuned extractor, all rapid fire with a 25 round hot lips magazine. Every now and then I get a jam, which I would blame on the magazine. It's not super accurate, but you get 525 rounds for the price of 50 or maybe a hundred rounds of target ammo.

Excellent value. For about a dollar more than a box of 500 40 grain lead RNs, I get 25 more rounds and they don't get my hands dirty after loading dozens of magazines. Sorry for the non-ballistic praise, but that's a factor too, if you're plinking or target shooting all day. I found this ammo to be accurate, reliable, and consistent.

Great ammunition. It burns clean, and doesn't leave much unburned powder in the bore. Accuracy is decent. I've fired close to 8,000 rounds of Federal .22LR out of my Walther P22 and I have had zero jams and only 1 failure to fire.

Last year I shot around 20,000 rnds thru 10-22,77-22,Ruger MK1,Ruger single-six and a dozen other 22`s I don`t care to mention. A few duds maybe 20 or so,but really good feeding and relilablity were very good. I have since bought another 10,000 rnds.

I've been shooting Federal 22's since it got hard to get the old Coast to Coast bricks. That's a while back. These are the best value going. I've had no jams or any problems in 10/22's, Mark 1, 2, and mark 3 Ruger pistols, bolts - you name it. I can slap the snot out of a coffee can at 85 yards all day long, offhand with this ammo in a Mark III. I like that kinda reliability.

I've found the accuracy and reliability of this ammo to be the best in its price range. I had very few failures to fire or eject in the 500 plus rounds that went through my old stock 10/22. Reliability has been flawless in my bolt guns and Remington 514 single shot. Accuracy has been exceptional in every weapon I've used this ammo in. My scoped Marlin 925R will print mostly ragged holes for five shot groups at 50 yards with an occasional 1/2 inch flier. Terminal performance on rabbits and ground squirrels has definitely been adequate. This round doesn't expand as much as some hollow-point ammo does, but offers superior penetration. Place your shots in the heart/lung/neck/brain area and you will have a quick kill on small game. I highly recommend this ammo for all plinking, target shooting, small game hunting, and pest elimination purposes in manually operated rifles and handguns.

For the price and for the ammount of ammo it is perfect. What more could you ask for? It kills Prarie dogs and Foxes just fine, and probably WHATEVER else you want to kill. THe best ammo for the BEST price is all I can say. If you need better, and don't care about the price, there are PLENTY of fine choices! Have fun sorting them all out! :)

This is far from match grade ammo, but for the level of accuracy I'm looking for it's a great product. All things considered, accuracy, reliability and price, it's hard to beat one of these value packs. Through my Marlin 795 (auto loader) it functions perfectly, and is as accurate as I want it to be. I prefer the Winchester X-pert value pack over this, but it's a close second. I think the Federal is slightly more reliable, but the Winchester is more accurate, and I really like the hollow point on the Winchesters. Both of these value packs are better than the Remington, which is crap in my opinion. If you do a lot of shooting, and don't need match grade accuracy, than you can't go wrong with this Federal value pack.

Very accurate, feeds well and reasonably clean burning. However, I did have quite a few misfires/duds(10), hence the 4 stars. Not what I expected from Federal. Still, 10 out of 525 ain't too bad. All that aside, still pretty good stuff. Worth the price.

Accurate and reliable plinking round (in my guns) at a great price. Fed well and shot well in both my old Ruger Mark I and my FWB 93 pistols. Accuracy was better than some target ammunition, including the new Federal "Premium" Gold Medal Target. Of 420 rounds shot in the Mark I there were only 5 stovepipes (very low for this gun) and no misfeeds or failures to fire. Of 750 rounds run through the FWB 93 there was only 1 failure to feed (bullet bent or was bent during feeding), 1 stovepipe and 1 failure to fire.

This is good quality BULK ammo, but it is NOT target or match ammo. Accuracy is average. Very few unexplained flyers. Zero dud rounds. Lube is good. Propellant burns clean, but leaves a lot of unburned grains in the bore. It is good stuff for plinking with my autoloader, but is not fodder for my match rifles.

This ammo is alright for the price. Doesn't shoot great in my custom 10/22, but shoots one ragged hole out of my 5.5" Buckmark with a Red Dot at 25 yards off of the bench. Quite opposite of what I thought it would do!

This is good ammo for the price and does very well for plinking and small game like squirrels and rabbits, but my Remington speedmaster sometimes has feeding problems. But overall does well.

It was accurate and clean but it wouldn't cycle my Marlin 60 very well. It all went bang but it was too underpowered to cycle the bolt. It turned my semi auto into a bolt action. If my marlin 60 would have digested it I would have gotten more.

Pretty good accuracy from this stuff in my Ruger Mark III. It's by far the cheapest available locally. BUT duds, failure to eject and stovepipe rate seems too high - as much as 7 or 8 out of 50. This FTF and pain in the butt jamming is random, nothing to do with cleaning and oiling and I can't blame the clips. I've used other inexpensive brands and they aren't as bad. Then I tried some subsonic Remington and found perfection - accuracy and no FTF or jamming. Got some CCI Mini-Mag and again found happiness. So, 3 stars for what it is - cheap & accurate, but 'high' failure rate, which to me has become annoying enough to look at the more expensive stuff.

Pretty good stuff for the price. Shoots accurately out of my Marlin 60, usually about 1.5 groups with iron sights at 50 yards when using a bench rest. My only complaint is on game performance, they just don't hit hard enough or expand. And, about every 20 rounds I seem to get a "under powered" round that won't cycle the bolt.

I've found this ammo to be reliable and powerful enough for small game, but I don't find it all that accurate. The price makes it worth getting, but if it became too high, I would look at another round.
