An excellent tool! Provides a very clean, firm crimp, without the risk of overdoing it or crushing the case neck. A definite must-have for any semi-auto ammo!

I have purchased Lee's factory crimp dies in almost every caliber that I load. They are easy to use and work as advertized. When I get another caliber to load, I'll be buying the factory crimp for it as well.

I have three of Lee's Factory crimp dies. .308, 7.62x39 and .223 caliber. They are all easy to use and allow you to put a good solid crimp on the bullet. Since the crimp pressure is inward, instead of downward, you get a good tight crimp without having to worry about crushing or collapsing cases. Also, case length isn't as critical.

Great die! Easy to setup, makes a perfect crimp without buckling the case. I wouldn't reload without it (indeed I have a FCD for every caliber I load).

This is the piece that I needed to give me 100% reliability in the loads I make for AR-15. I used to get 1 out of 10 where the bullet pushed back into the case while chambering, because I was putting only a slight crimp on with my seating die. This was because the seating die crimp is a very fine adjustment and I'd start bulging the cases just a little bit which I couldn't see, but it was enough to make them jam when chambering. With this, I seat uncrimped and then use this as a last step, which was very quick and easy to setup and run them through.

I recently sent one of these dies, as a birthday present, to my brother. He was not familiar with the die. He now reports that his AR-15 chambering problems have been completely eliminated. Equally remarkable to him was the fact that the die is relatively insensitive to variations in case length. The price is certainly reasonable and the results achieved make it an uncommonly great value.

I was skeptical of the claim that it would improve my groups, but it did and gives me the piece of mind to have the bullets crimped when I shoot my AR. Easy to use and improved my group size. Would recommend it to anyone.

The Lee Factory Crimp Die enables the case neck to obtain a firm purchase on the bullet. This is necessary when multiple rounds are stored in a magazine or in a revolver cylinder and thus subjected to recoil from the weapon being fired. Otherwise, the bullet could move out of the case from repeted recoil. The Lee Factory Crimp die does a very good job of this. It works well in my Dillon 550B press.
