Works great. I bought it as a back up to Lyman small primer pocket cleaner. Lyman was too big.

First of all I am not a high volume reloader (maybe 150 rounds a month sometimes more or less) but I still look for quality in my work. And in this context I have to say that most of my reloading “bench-ware” is from Lee and serves wonderfully for me and that for many years. I love their products--you get good quality for a small prize as many have stated before. And their primer pocket cleaner is no exception. To make things easer for me I made a little “contraption” so the cleaner works even better for me; actually I just drilled a hole through a small wooden board and pushed the pocket cleaner halfway through (so it sticks out at both ends; the knurled center keeps it in place). Then I clamp the board next to my press so that the “cleaner side” extends a little from the bench. After decapping a case I put it on the cleaner and twist it a few times (the case that is) then I place it in the reloading tray for the next step. This works just great for me. It also has several nice side effects: First if I would have to change from large to small primer pocket I just have to flip the board. Second since the cleaner is fixed it doesn’t roll around or drops from the bench. Third, loosing it would be pretty hard since it is attached to a piece of wood.

A couple of twists in ANY primer pocket and you are ready to install a new primer. I've used it for about 20 years. Why pay more for a primer pocket cleaner that does performs the same function?

This inexpensive tool requires little effort to clean the primer pockets - a couple of twists, a tap to dislodge the loosened powder and you are done. Using it significantly reduced the effort needed to seat new primers versus not using one at all.

As usual for Lee products, I give the Lee primer pocket cleaner tool five stars for high value. This little tool is quick and easy to use to clean out primer pockets. Most of mine (large pistol) require little effort. I did chuck it in a cordless drill when I was doing a lot of brass at once, as the knurled tool rolled between the thumb and finger is tiring after about 100 brass cases. Every reloading bench should have one of these.

Very easy to use. Because of it's small size, unlike screwdriver handled tools, the tool can be easily rolled between your fingers, and because it's so short it places your hand closer to the case giving greater control of the tool. Very effective, no-nonsense tool, and a great value for just a couple of bucks.

This primer pocket cleaner works very well. It is small and inexpensive. Works just as well at getting primer residue out, maybe better, than the RCBS primer pocket brushes I have. I may not have bought the brushes if I had bought the Lee primer pocket cleaner first. Order two at this price.

Like all of the products I've used from Lee this tool is simple, effective, as well as very affordable. With just a few twists it removes all the residue inside the primer pocket so you are ready to seat a new primer.

Picked this tool up at a local gun shop while I was out looking for other reloading supplies. For the price it was just too interesting not to try out. After a week of using it, and a tad over 500 rounds reloaded, I can definitely say it's worth it at three times the price. I have an RCBS primer pocket brush as well, and it's gone into the tool box as a backup now. This works faster, easier, and seems to clean just as well as the brush. Toss it on with your next order, you won't regret it.

Chuck this bad boy up in a lathe or a drill press and you can clean out your primmer pockets lightning fast. I have used it to clean out primmer pockets of small pistol and rifle and large pistol and rifle sizes. I can crank out 1 every 2 seconds... I would recommend this product if you can chuck it in a stationary rotation device. Using it manually with your hand however takes forever.

Cheap and it works too! It's built tough enough. A little small but it only takes a twist or two per case. Save money and buy this, it's all you need unless maybe you're a bench-rester.

Could be better, but cannot be beat for the price. In cleaning large primer pockets (Such as the 30-30) I have to use both ends of the tool to get the pockets really clean and all the crud out. It's not at all a bad tool, I just think a brush would work better. However, I would recommend this to anyone that is into the hobby.

This cleaner does not fit tightly to the edge of the primer pocket but neither do the primers so it doesn't matter. Yes, it is of small diameter and can lead to cramping of the fingers for those of us who are chronologically gifted and have big paws. However, this is a good tool to start offspring, nephews/nieces and grandchildren in reloading. Please make sure they wash their hands well after helping you. After 1,000 nickle plated 9mm the small primer end was dull and polished the gunk rather than remove it. A replacement was cheap. Grind down the dull end if you use both sizes. Wear is better on unplated brass. The effectiveness of this tool varies with the load/primer that was shot from the case. WCC cases PMC cases require extra attention. When processing bulk recycled cases I still need the RCBS brush for about 20% of the cases. I normally don't have to use the brush the next time I reload those cases. The Lee tool does not noticably remove brass from the pocket like the overpriced RCBS brushes do. I always have a spare as this tool is just too useful to be without one. Now if Lee would only install one in a motorized die for my Classic Turret press. Summary - buy at least two. This tool does a good job and is priced right.

Works well if the primer pockets are flat. Some are some aren’t. Has worked well on about 80% of the cases I have done. The knurled area for your fingers could be a little larger diameter, this could make it easier to use. Does the job for the price.

Item works fine for the price. It's real handy around the bench. It gets just enough out to help the primers in straight but wouldn't use it if loading match ammo for bench rest. Great for hunting loads though.

Both the small and large ends should fit in the primer pockets tighter so they get all the way to the edges. The tips are also too tall and rock in the pockets, which they wouldn’t if the tips were the right size. This tool works poorly in my opinion.

Junk. A screwdriver works better. Love Lee dies, but their primer pocket cleaner just sucks: soft, undersized, poorly made. I'm using Hornady's military crimp removal tool now and it works way better.

Does not fit either large or small pockets well. Won't clean anything but right around the flash hole. I quit using it long ago and use a regular old small flat screwdriver now. Screwdriver works better and harder to lose.
