The simplest, most accurate scope leveling system ever devised to level your scope as you mount it on your rifle. The magnetic base in the rifle level bridges the bolt raceway, allowing you to position your rifle almost perfectly level. Then level the scope, tighten the rings and the job is done. Works with practically any bolt-action rifle. Set includes two levels.

levels are certainly easy to use. There is a certain amount of "grain of salt" that must be applied in their use. The two levels didn't agree with what was "level" when placed on a reference flat surface, or when turned 180 degrees. so by splitting the difference I was able to come up with a "level" solution that worked just fine. I've now used them on two Winchesters (Model 52 and 69), a Springfield '03, and a Remington 700, all with good sucess.

This product is a God send. It is extremely simple and works better than any method I have found (great combination). I have used it on several different actions (Rem 700, Model 70, Ruger 77 and Mauser 98)and it has helped me complete the crosshair leveling task on each of them in minutes. Also, worth noting, I had no problems with magnet stregnth like some of the other reviewers claim.

This is an outstanding tool to perform an oftentimes aggravating job! The thing I like most about it is that you can constantly confirm the alignment (levelness) of the top turret in relation to the rifle's flat horizontal surface, as you progressively tighten the ring screws. Before, the scope would rotate slightly while tightening, and you may not notice until you were done torquing the screws. Now, it saves me time and a whole lot of angst the very first time! Good Job!

Worth the money, especially at the sale price. Is it a super precision piece, no, but it levels the crosshairs quickly and effectively. The gun level seems as though it was made for Rem 700 actions, and I also made it work for a Win 94, a Marlin 917 (inventively but successfully), an AR-15, and a Savage 340E. Turn the level 180 degrees to see if it reads the same, if not it's the level reading goofy. Keep the level pushed solid in the plastic piece and it reads fine.

I ordered a Wheeler Level Level Level on Monday had it Wednesday. Midway had them on sale so I had to buy it. I have heard bad things about it and that it didn't work, mine does. It came in today and I used it and it works PERFECTLY, I would recommend this to any shooter with a scope on a rifle in any competition especially precision shooting like USBR. Anyone from the club who wants to try it feel free to ask, only one warning you will buy one once you use one. I'm still wondering why someone didn't invent this sooner, and how did we get along without this nifty little gadget. Not just another piece of range box clutter.

Product works great on Remingtons, takes a little patience with Winchesters and Weatherbys. Magnets are a little weak but you must remember they don't work on stainless, aluminum or chro-molly. Tip - place levels on flat surface noting bubble relationship to cursor lines. Turn the scope base level 180 degrees and note the position. Mark with an arrow the direction on the scope base level that best matches the bubble position of the breach level. This should give you the most accurate alignment for your set of levels.

I don't generally submit reviews for Midway's products, but I was absolutely, positively, so doggone satisfied with this product I wanted to make an exception. What kept putting me off, for quite some time, from getting this leveling system was the comments from others about how, using the one piece in the raceway of the receiver, things weren't always precise. Well, I bought one, finally, and did not use it that way; I used mine by mounting the part that's supposed to go in the raceway on top of the receiver, which is flat. The magnet held it in place and there's NO question in my mind about the rifle being level. It also worked, in the same manner, by laying it across the top of the one-piece Leupold base. I generally use a device I think is no longer sold, the Segway Reticle Leveler. Well, I used the Wheeler product on a gun on which I'd just used the Segway device, and I'd already gotten it pretty close. However, with the Segway, there is a lot of "interpretation" with what you see... or think you see, when looking through the scope at the reticle and how the reticle "lays against" the lines of the Segway. As I said, I'd gotten it pretty close, but the Wheeler leveling bubbles showed me IMMEDIATELY that I was still off a bit, though only by a few hairs. I loosened the scope rings, made the correction, and tightened things back up while periodically checking the bubbles. With one of the bubbles on top of my receiver and the other on top of the elevation turret's cap, this was the fastest -- and I believe, best -- I've ever mounted a scope. Eventually, I'm going to go back to all my other rifles and check them with the Wheeler product and will only use it from now on when mounting a scope for the first time. Really, I just had to post how happy I was with using this product. I have no reservations whatsoever in recommending it.

I have used this product for several years and if used according to the directions, it works fine. Leveling crosshairs is in the eye of the beholder. Everyone holds the rifle differently. This device assists with an otherwise subjective and sometimes difficult task. Some complain about the strength of the magnet. The design does not allow for a beefy, extra strong magnet. Size is important, otherwise more would complain about it not fitting every conceivable action. Another complaint is the plastic material it is made from. How much do you want to pay for this item? I have some Starrett levels which I will use - if the gun/scope base will allow it. Better made but a very expensive alternative to Midway's design. The Starrett's will not work on as many different guns as Midway's product, due to the size of each design. The Midway levels are smaller and more versatile in that regard. This is a product many will benefit from at a decent price. If you want the best, contact Starrett and ask them to make you a set and be prepared to pay for it.

An easy to use product and it works! The product takes out all the hastle of leveling a canted scope. I did however have to close the bolt against reciever level to hold it in place on a Rem. .22 rim fire. Level up the rifle and back out the scope ring screws and turn the scope until it's level using the small level on the scope top cap flat, retighten the screws carefully and it's done.

This leveling tool is great for bolt actions rifles and saved me a lot of time. Construction/materials seemed to be OK too. The receiver level fit neatly within the bridge of the action, and I cross checked it against a second level. The scope level requires you to place it on top of the zero knob. Again, I cross checked against a weighted string hanging from my fence. This tool saves time, but I think must be cross checked against reference levels to assure confidence when using the levels on a new gun.

Works great, leveled my scope in no time. The only issue is the base for the one that fits into the action of the rifle, actually the magnet. The magnet is not exactly as large as the base, and I had to remove it to make it sit level in my savage 110. Took me a minute to figure out the magnet would sit on one raceway, and not the other. Once removed it works flawlessly.

Magnetism in levels magnet isn't all that great as to hold itself down on any rifles bolt rails. So I replaced it a newer looking refrigerator magnet I found stuck on the side of the wife's refrigerator. I made darn sure the new magnet was exactly the same thickness as the one I replaced on the tool. But, I did cut my replacement magnet just a little long. Say a 1/6th of and inch extra on one side. I than re-glued the magnet onto the jig with {tire patch cement -see Note 1.} making sure the excess material did stick-out {a little long} under the level vile side of the jig. I than trimmed away the extra magnetic material a little at a time until the jig fit perfectly across both sides of the bolt rails on my 700 Remington. Gosh!!! changing out that weak magnet on that tool sure made a difference in the ease of using this tool. Took me all of 5 minuets to re-level my scope for a perfect trueness thanks to the stronger magnetism in the new magnet. As the night before I spent about an hour at the bench trying over & over to get my scope leveled correctly with that weak original magnet in place. Tool is worth having on anyone's bench for what it cost. There's no doubt about it!!! But with a little self help you too can make Level-Level-Level work even better. Good luck.

This little tool is ok...it gets the job done. However, the one piece that has a magnet should have a stronger magnet and the other piece that goes on top of the scope should have a magnet attached to it. If these things could be improved upon I think this product would have to get 5 stars from everyone. Hope this helps others in their decision.

Have used the product only on Mod 70 Win, but worked well. Rifle magnet is not very strong, but then again, it's not supposed to withstand a hurricane, and it fit fine. Top level doesn't have magnet in it, as most scope turret caps are aluminum. Levels are accurate and sturdy. Product could stand some improvements, but overall worked fine.

Product worked as advertised. But the magnet should be a lot stronger. It fell out of the receiver several times. The top level needs a magnet on it, so it will stay on the top sight screw when the caps are off. My scopes were 2-3 degrees off. They did work but need improved. A bit pricey for the product. A one inch plastic level, one with a magnet on the bottom of it.

Mine at least requires the use of one hand to hold the magnet down while you use the other to tighten the scope rings. Not hard to do,,,,, but that is what the "magnet" is SUPPOSED to be for.

I bought two of these to use on Remington long and short actions. One of them works great and seems accurate, but the other one is way off. Something to keep in mind, the scope level will not magnetize to scope turrets that are aluminum, which a lot of them are. Also before each use make sure you check to ensure the level itself has not come out of the plastic/magnet, as this could give you a false level. This level is good for the price, but I wish they had a bit tighter Quality control process.

Works great on rifles you can find a level surface on.. (e.g. bolt actions), however, only quasi useful on semi-autos or rifles with a lot of aluminum components... The kit would be much improved if you could attach the rifle level in some type of saddle manner and have two levels, one on each side of the rifle.

After double and triple checking my work with multiple other methods and levels, it appears this tool did the job correctly. Secondly, as a FYI to others reading this, you should level the scope turrets, not the reticle. Because a turret adjustment will move your POI in relation to the internal mechanics of the scope body, not the reticle. If both weapon and scope turrets are level, then a vertical adjustment will not effect windage, and vice versa. Which is what you want. Regardless of reticle position. And lastly, a magnetic turret level accomplishes nothing as most scope turrets and caps are aluminum.

Attempted to use this on a Weatherby 300 mag with questionable results. Magnet on receiver level is very weak. Design is suited for firearms having a flat, parallel action or receiver rails (Weatherby Vanguard does not lend itself to this application; needed to remove the stock and set the bottom of the receiver on a press plate, which was leveled using the receiver level). And, depending on the profile of the scope's elevation adjustment cap, the level may/may not sit well. When set side-by-side, the 2 levels differ slightly- most likely due to the plastic level housings. You may wish to consider the B-Square T1001 cross-hair leveler at roughly 1/2 the price.

Not a bad idea but poor execution. 1st problem: the bubble tubes aren't secure in their holders and may not be level, a dab of Crazy glue might help. Be sure to check both levels on a flat surface to make certain they correlate with each other. The magnets aren't strong enough to hold themselves in place. The action level doesn't fit in small actions, e.g. 223 Rem bolts. This outfit worked on my FN Mauser, but wouldn't fit in my Cooper Model 21. Also doesn't work on many older 22 Rimfire actions.

I spent more time actually fiddling with the scope level and trying to level my scope then if I would have done it the old fashion way and been time ahead. The level for the scope truely never leveled the cross hairs when the rifle was completely level in a gun vice. Save your money and yourself the headache and do it the old fashion way.

This product is rather poorly designed. It does what you want it to do, but only with a bit of tinkering. The bubble tubes are not fixed in either piece, but rather slide back and forth, presumably for adjusting in case your vision is blocked. Unfortunately, at least with the pair I got, it is hard to get them to both read level on the same level surface. Once you do, you must be very careful not to touch the tube, otherwise you will knock it out of alignment. Also, the base on the magnetic unit is barely wide enough to bridge the bolt race in any of the rifles I have tried it with. If you don't like to spend a lot of time fine tuning your equipment, this product is not for you.

You can find better levels at a hardware store. I think that if the bases were metallic then it would be a better value. Bought on impulse and should've gone to the nearest hardware store.

A great idea but does not work on most guns. Be sure your scope has a flat spot to put the bubble through, mine did not.I had three guns to mount scopes on it worked on one of them.

Works fine on some guns, bad on others. I tried using it on a Titanium action with aluminum rings. Magnets are useless, let alone like everyone says they are too weak. They need to use rare earth magnets, very strong and tiny. I suggest that if you really want one try it out. If it works on your rifle be happy, if not send it back and get a refund.

This product is a very good idea, however it is very cheaply made. The plastic bubble that you're supposed to put on your scope isn't true. The bubble floats to the right even when you reverse it. I expected better.

Very disappointed in product and nearly useless. Bubbles were not "level" when mounted on level surface. Mounting bases were not flat so depending how positioned would provide different results. Level viles loose and would move changing results.

I had issues with the action level tool. It would not fit level in the actions on my rifles. Rem. 700s and Wby. Mark V The magnet was weak. Fix > Modeling clay for the action level will allow you to achieve calibration of this device to level across any action. Procedure> Mount bases and lower half of rings. Use a plumb/pocket level across either the front or rear ring half. Clamp rifle down when level. Place a small amount of modeling clay on the bottom of the action level toward the right action rail. Adjust action level to read level as verified with the plumb level. Complete scope mounting per instructions. The modeling clay will allow this level to be used on any action it can be inserted into.

Magnets are weak and non functioning on stainless and aluminum. I use a good 6 inch level across the base before mounting the scope and then lock the gun in a vise. Mount the scope and then hang a plum bob and align the vertical crosshair with the string

This outfit hardly works on any rifle I have tried it on. I had to saw the top of the magnetic level to get it to fit under a scope on the mount. Even then, if you turned it from left to right at the same location, it read differently.

Disappointing. The receiver level wouldn't fit my Vanguard and the magnet kept falling off. The scope cap level did function. Two scope cap levels would probably work better, so that one could rest on the scope mount base and the other on the cap.

Great idea however, the design is not well thought out. The level that sits on the scope elevation adj screw should have some sort of attachment device and the other level should have a stronger magnet.

It works pretty good as long as it fits your action. Nice fit for a Remington 700, doesn't fit the CZ-527. Also, make sure you rotate the level to see if it is a true reading.

Ran into pretty much what others noted. Very weak magnets that were peeling off right out of the box, level pops out of case quite easily, unable to use easily on my AR-15 and Rem 7400. Ended up basically using only the flat based level to level rifles then moved to scope. I probably could have picked up a couple of 2 inch levels at the hardware store for the same results. These were better than nothing at all.

Overall not worth more than the $0.99 you could buy a line level at home depot for. Both levels were NOT reading true. Sat them on a milling machine at work (table level to .0001) and both of the levels were 1/4 over the line. If only they would have milled them out of aluminum to exact tolerances. Will never buy another Wheeler Engineering product. Too bad I could not select (0) stars.

I owned this thing for a year before I tried it because I bought it with some other stuff from Midway USA, however only recently went to mount a high-power scope on a long-range varminter AR-15. I had high hopes but after a half hour of messing with it I realized the same thing others have; the levels are not level to each other. I spent a few minutes trying to 'calibrate' them to each other with scotch tape and then gave up and leveled the scope using my old and reliable standby method. 1) Set-up a gun vise like the Tipton Best Gun Vise in a hallway or basement floor as far back as you can get from a door frame or vertical wall edge across the room. 2) Set your gun up in the Gun Vise *after making absolute sure that it is empty and safe*. 3) Use a standard 1' long construction level placed across the flat of the receiver(AR-15 or Marlin Lever Type) or across the ring mounts (All Others with round receivers). 4) Level the gun and lock is securely in the vise. 5) Being somewhat careful not to move or bump the vise and gun, loosely attach the scope and ring caps to the gun. 6) Sight down the scope and line up the vertical cross hair with door or wall edge across the room (you should check that your door and or wall is in fact square to the floor). When it is lined up then tighten the scope rings and you are done. Note: After performing this procedure, I took said gun that I setup to the range and the second group I shot grouped 3 52gr Black Hills HP .223 rounds into 7/8" at 200yards with the scope set to 25x in a sandbag rest. IE - It works. Just I final note, this is the only Midway USA product I have ever purchased that I was less than satisfied with and wrote it off as my mistake because I didn't pay attention to the other reviews before I bought it.

I just used this product to try to mount a scope on a Stevens 200. The magnet on the receiver is not true to the magnet (the magnet is not attached correctly). There is about .05 difference between one side and the other making the level completely worthless. They may have let product quality decline in the last year or so.

This product is not up to the usual high standards that Wheeler usually produces. The magnets are weak. The bubble on the level itself doesn't give me confidence in what I am trying to do. It reminds me of that cheap junk you get at that cheap tool store. If it had been priced at $3.99 I wouldn't have complained, but it was over $20.00 with shipping and this transaction has shaken my confidence with Wheeler. I suggest to Midway that they drop this product. Thank you.

The concept is a good one but the execution is awful. I tried the set on a stainless Tikka T3 and surprisingly the magnets held. Contrary to popular belief not all stainless is anti-magnetic and though weak they are plenty strong enough for my needs. After leveling the scope with the Level Level Level system I could see that the scope was visibly not level. A close examination of the cheaply made plastic bases revealed that the level tubes were not properly seated and that the two “levels” were not level with each other. I was able to work around the problem by using only one of the levels and by keeping it seated and pointing in the same direction as I moved it from receiver to scope and back. Also note that not all rifles have a good place to set these. Getting them to work with my Howa was a challenge. Anyway a friendly note to Wheeler: I would be happy to pay $10-15 more for a much better made aluminum version that is well and truly level and with the vials held securely. That’s about three times what it would cost to improve the product.

I tried two level scopes on two different rifles until I discovered that the magnet had a air gap in it. It came unglued, I checked it and found a 4 thousand's difference in a 1/2 inch space. No way can you level if both level surfaces aren't true. Great idea if it was a quality product. Not this one, very cheap product don't waste your time on it.

This is the first tool from Wheeler Engineering that I am very dis-satisfied with. I've tried to use it on 4 different rifles and find that it's design is based on two flawed assumptions. First, there is no reason to assume the scope cross hairs are perfectly aligned with the knobs or anything else on the scope tube. And frequently they aren't - at least none of the 4 scopes I tried this on had a place to put the level that is to sit on the scope that was aligned with the crosshairs. Second, the tool that is to drop onto the bolt ways may not fit properly - it only fit on two of the 4 rifles I used it on. It won't work at all on rifles that aren't bolt action. I bought it because it had the Wheeler name. All the other Wheeler tools I have are excellent, but not this one. Save your money, buy something else.

The idea behind the product is good, but the product quality is almost junk. The magnet was weak, but usable even on a LVSF Remington(stainless). I checked both scope levels with a quality four foot level and two Starrett machine levels, the scope level bubbles were way off, and different from each other! That alone would make it almost impossible to get satisfactory results from the product. Maybe I just got a bad set, but I'm returning mine for a refund!

Very poorly made. Both pieces do not even read the same. I used it on a Rem 700 and the cross hairs were off so I placed a 2' level on the bench and placed both units on top of 2 ft level. While the 2 ft was level, neither piece read level and both of them read different from each other. Tried a second set and same results. Nice gimmick. Don't waste your money.

Overall poor quality plastic, magnets have no holding strength, level not accurate, action level fits only in REM 700 standard actions, must push bolt against level on other actions, then hope it doesn't move while your working. You can garage engineer a better system using $15.00 of goods from a hardware store.

Save your money, this one just sits in my junk drawer. The turret piece would be better if it had a magnet to keep it in place, and the base piece with the magnet would be better if the vial were actually level. Someday, I'll modify these to work, or I'll make my own. The tool is a good concept, but as delivered, mine is not even as accurate eyeballing it.
