I installed the FP-H&R sight on my H&R Buffalo Classic, it appeared at first the screws were too long, after closer examination I determined that the mount holes in the barrel were half filled with thread locker, cleaned it out and the sight mounted up perfect with the included screws.

These sights work great on my Buffalo Classic and making range and windage adjustments are a snap, just count the the clicks up or down, left or right and no tools required just your fingers. I would and plan to buy a couple of another sets for other rifles that I own. These sights have helped put a couple of Hogs and a Buck in the freezer all ready this year.

This is just a great sight, and nearly a necessity if H&R shipped your Buffalo Classic with the wrong height front sight, unless you don't mind shooting 6" low at 50 yards. It's a great upgrade to an affordable "buff gun". There's nothing wrong with the screws, just hand twist a small drill bit into the incredible amount of LocTite that H&R uses to secure the screws. Then run a #6x32 bottoming tap - voila - problem solved!

Very high quality sight however, to mount it on the H&R required the services of a gunsmith as the screws were too long and not of the proper dimension. Cannot be used in Cowboy Action shooting.

This sight is nice if you use a variety of loads, shoot in varying wind conditions or at different distances. A sight adjustment is easy, so there is no need to hold under/over or right/left. Just adjust the knobs like you would on a target-turret scope and you're set. Very well made and worth the price. If frequent adjustment is not required, the non-turret model of this sight would be better in my opinion. I have both. I wish it were steel, but then it would be more expensive.

It mounted okay on my rifle, but it loosened up when I got to the range. I think there might have been a plug of threadlock or something in there. I also got the Williams 1/2in .05 aperature. I was glad that I didn't get the 1in because there might be clearance problems with the hammer. It shot very well at 100 yds and I was able to ring the 200 yd gong consistently. I didn't shoot that far but I think there is enough height on this to get out to 400 yds and even 500 yds if you get the lower 17AHB Lyman front sight. I am not sure I would recommend this for hunting though because it is pretty bulky and sits back far enough to make putting in a new cartridge a little awkward.
