The Digital Precision Powder Dispenser provides the exact charge weight you've requested in 1/2 of the time of the original model. Simply enter the charge weight on the keyboard and push the "dispense" button. The dispenser will deposit the powder directly into the powder pan resting on the scale. The scale tells the dispenser the actual charge weight using an infra-red data port which means the charges are as accurate as if they'd been hand weighed every time. Not for use with Blackpowder. The Digital Precision Powder Scale quickly and accurately weighs up to 1500 grains or 100 grams and is accurate to 1/10 of a grain. Includes 2 check weights and AC adapter.

This product worked without problems and was very easy to set up. All loads were within range of +/- .1 grain. Don't know how I got along before without it.

I Would Recommend this product. It has thrown charges from 1.6 grains to 76 grains. With no more than, 2 tenths , variation. The best part is the ability to throw light charges, RCBS & Lyman start at 2.0 grains. My only complaint is, it is sensitive to vibration. I moved mine to a shelf, so i could seat while it is throwing a charge.

My dispenser and scale wear the RCBS name but it is made by Pact and looks exactly like the Pact that is shown here. I have found it to be very useful and I do not know how I ever got along with out it. Dispenses a charge in about 20 - 25 seconds. That’s faster than you can fiddle around with dippers and a balance beam scale. The scale does need calibration about once every 1/2 hr. or every hr. but it doesn't take long and its a small price to pay for what the unit does for you. I wouldn't be without mine. Makes reloading a much more enjoyable task.

After using an RCBS balance beam, this is the best thing since sliced bread. Quick and easy setup, I was surprised how fast and accurate it was. If you reload with different powders, you have to calibrate it each time, it has no "load memory" between different powder brands. Overall a great buy.

I have used this product for five years with exellent results. Checking it against a balance beam scale assumes the beam scale to be correct which many are not. Use the check weights to calibrate both first. This unit is the same as the older similar looking rcbs model because pact made them. The biggest drawback is it is slow. Mine is very very seldom off by even .1 grain. The warranty is excellent. Most of the problems in these reviews are due to the installation or operator. They are a delicate sensitive instrument. Vibration, air movements can affect them just like any instrument. I keep the unit away from other reloading operations (vibration, movement) and get along just great.

I load my .308 charges much more accurately than RCBS uniflow could. It's 99.99% consistent throwing right at desired charge and with all powders I used so far. For me it's very fast and accurate. I don't understand what others are complaining about.

I found this unit to perform well with 4064, a powder that generaly does not meter well. Placing the units on a 6"x12"x3/8"steel plate with a 1/4"rubber pad glued to the bottom, and placing it on a nearby shelf next to the loading bench, eliminated vibration effects. Reading some of the other reviews makes me wonder if they received the same machine. I loaded over 600 rounds last weekend with maybe 20 that went over .2 gr and were dumped back. I checked about 10% of the loads with a RCBS balance, and all were within .15gr. I have used an RCBS auto dispenser, but do not own one, and except for the memory feature see no superiority over the PACT.

This is just a nice all around package. The separate dispenser is nice, esp. if you spill powder once in awhile ;], makes clean-up easy. If you just need the scale function you're not dragging out a big unit. But I guess that's a personal preference issue of separate units vs. an integrated one. In any event, PACT throws powder nice and even, is fast and helps keep a nice tempo with a progressive. I use a progressive loader, and when I first work up loads from a new batch of powder/components, I use the PACT combo (scale/dispenser) to dispense powder for the first trial round sets before setting the progressive powder dispenser. Then just tuck the dispenser away and use the scale to spot check the progressive dispenser.

I am sorry to see all the bad reviews on this item, I bought one anyway. This is not a fast Machine, for me it throws 9.0 gr. of TitGroup in 23 seconds. That is about 8-9 rounds every 5 minutes. It is not fast but always 100% on the money. This is a fine machine that must be treated with care. You will need a strong flat table, do not tap or bump the table or you may need to recalibrate it, it's that sensitive. The charges are always perfect + or minus 0. If you want speed, buy a clack-clack pull the handle powder thrower. If you want accuracy and push the button convenience and do not mind a little reading this is your baby.

I purchased this combo about six weeks ago and can honestly say it has surpassed my expectations. I have used multiple powders(IMR 4350, Benchmark, Varget, H335, Reloder 19, and IMR 4831)with this combo and have had no glitches or problems what so ever. I have loaded cartridges from .223 Rem to .375 H&H with consistency of at least +/- .1 grain. I compared weight of charge with my RCBS 505 and BBK digital scale and all three weighed within .1 grain.

This is the first automated powder setup I've tried. I have not tried any others because I've had good luck with this one. I always follow the included directions and have had no head aches. Yes, the scale is extremely sensitive. I feel this means it's both precise and accurate. It's pretty simple, keep it away from vibration and it works fine. It does as it says, and throws powder +/- .1 grn. of the your desired amount. I found if you set your desired grn amount about .1 low, you can manually trickle up. This eliminates the +/- .1 slop and having to dump a charge back into the dispenser wasting time. This is a great product for the price!

I love this thing $80 cheaper than the RCBS, (thats enough for a set of dies and most of the components) and MADE IN THE USA!!!!! I am so sick and tired of buying somthing and it saying MADE IN CHINA. The RCBS and the Lyman both are made in CHINA and both do not have the warranty or the value. My father-in-law has the RCBS he bought it because it can throw 300 grain charges for the .50 BMG. It works just as good as my PACT but it has 3 strikes against it 1. Its $80 more. 2. Its MADE IN CHINA!!! 3. The warranty is only 1 year not a lifetime like the PACT!!!

Great for working up loads. Overshoot seems to be more prevalent with loads below 7 grains. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR 296 or H110. I bought it to work up mag loads so must use a volumetric dispenser for 296 and weigh each charge. It's relatively easy to change powder by unplugging the dispenser. Should run highly graphited powder through it first to reduce static cling. Rubbed graphite on pan to remove static. Would have been a 5 star if it could handle 296.

Does what it says it does. Throws with in 1/10gr. It is very slow. I bought a micrometer adj for my rcbs meter. I throw charges into a lee powder scoop, dump in into the bbk2 pan and trikle up or down with the scoop. I am three times faster than digital dispenser. If you charg one case then seat one bullet and have the digital meter on a diffrent bench you might like it. Mine came with a leg missing off the scale and the lid missing off the hoper. The guy who answered the phone at pact hand no people skills at all. I swear the customer service people were on brake and the janitor just happend to answer the phone.

After reading Mr. DeLaurenti's review I was a bit concerned about how the unit performed but with Midway's return policy I decided to try one anyway. I love it! It consistently meters charges from 2.2 gr of Win 231 to 80.0 gr of H4831. I have weighed the dispensed charges on my RCBS/Ohaus beam balance and they have agreed within 0.025 grain up to 100 grains. The unit essentially consists of two motorized tricklers, so it is slow. Up to 25 grains it keeps up with the rest of my processing but above that and you will be waiting around for it. I built a special drop tube for my volumetric dispenser to dump in the scale pan. I set it to throw about 3 grains short of the target amount and let the PACT take it from there. Beats the heck out of trickling by hand. My only serious concern is that the scale runs on 12 VAC and the dispenser on 9 VDC. The connectors are the same. If the power supplies get switched, the electronics will get fried. PACT warns about this in the manual but I think that it was really short-sighted on their part to not use unique connectors.

I have owned one of these for about two years now and I have to admit, before I became very familiar with the scale's tendencies, I had the same problems as some of the other reviewers inconsistent dispensing, not staying calibrated and so on). The problems were always tied to the scale though not the dispenser. First off I found that the scale has to be turned on to heat up for at least an hour, second it needs to be stored in the area where you are going to reload so that it can stay stabilized to the environment, and third it needs to set on a table with zero vibration and you must handle it gently so you don't jar the load cell while using it. This is the only digital powder scale I've owned, so for all I know there all this way. When I do everything listed the unit does exactly what Pact clams it will, dispenses loads of all sorts to + - 1/10 grain, and it does it by the time I can get the bullet seated and measured for proper length and walk back over to it with my next empty casing.

I have used this for over a year. It does perform within tolerances listed. However it has to be recalibrated often. It is slow. It does not tolerate any air currents including a ceiling fan. It does not tolerate any movement, if you slide it 1/2 inch you will have to recalibrate it. You must turn the machine upside down to remove powder. I would prefer to set the dies on the reloader than to wait on this. Even loading small loads is very time consuming. I am going to sell this thing and purchase an RCBS. I have read better reviews on it and will give it a shot.

Have yet to get consistant charges metered out by the dispenser. I have only used H4350 and H4895 ranging from 56 to 66 gr. The scale is sensitive as others have commented on and hand movement changes the readings of the scale. Reloading 17 rounds I had to recalibrate 5 times so went back to the old powder measure. Will keep it though as the scale is a lot faster when weighing cast bullets.

Love/hate relationship for me on this. Works okay for 50 rounds then starts freaking out. The last time I could hand dip powder, using the PACT scale to weigh and trickle up to my load weight, faster than the PACT dispenser. Called to send it in, lifetime warranty right, and I pay shipping to and from, they said it would be 4 weeks at least for warranty work. So I guess I will look for a Uniflow measure while I wait on the PACT to come back. Very finicky unit, I use Varget, Tac and Ramshot magnum powders. Very sensitive to movement or vibration around unit.

This product isn't worth the price. It's very sensitive to any movement around it. Just reaching over to push the dispense button will cause it to mess up and I would have to re-zero it. I have a very heavily built loading bench and just touching it would have an effect on it. It would also throw the wrong charge, off as much as .3grs. It's not worth the hassle.

I have a love/hate relationship with this machine. I have found that it is very sensative to movement around the device. I cannot stroke my press while it is dispensing or it messes up and keeps throwing higher and higher loads. Fo example, I keep only varget pawder in it and when I do a 22-250 run, I let the unit warm up for over an hour, then calibrate the unit, then set at 35.0 grains. The first 10 or so will be fine. after that, if I am perating my nearby press, it will start to dump 35.5, later 36, than within 10 more loads it will be dumping 37+. If I do not operate my press at all and move very slowly around the unit with no vibration, it behaves well. This wreeks havoc on sequential reloading.

I only read the bad reviews and they pretty much sum up my experience. Some of the experiences that have not been mentioned or detailed thus far. 1) My brand new unit had to be sent back to PACT for a software update. I had to pay for shipping. 2) If I try to dispense powder before it has warmed up (about 1-2 hours) the charges will vary by up to 2 full grains. I use this reading as a "warm-up" indicator. :( 3) I have to constantly re-zero the unit even after warm-up. Sometimes 10 times when loading 100 rounds. If it has drifted off zero at any time, it will throw a bad charge. 4) Don't bring your cell phone into the area, or it will cause the unit to throw bad charges. 5) The unit is also sensitive to other electronic devices like the TV on the other side of the wall!

Bought this product about a year and a half ago and have had almost nothing but trouble with it. The scale is VERY sensitive to vibration and is unusable at the reloading bench. About half the time it throws a charge one or two tenths over on the scale, not particularly fast, scale often takes a while to zero after a load is thrown, and often takes a l-o-n-g time to calibrate. I was told by the folks at PACT that I may have dirty power. I guess I am supposed to talk the power company into installing a dedicated filtered power line for me! One of the problems is that you do not discover all this until after you purchase the product. By that time they have your money. Pact said they would inspect the units but I would have to pay shipping both ways though they would likely not find a problem. I am not sure what to do with the product at the moment but I do now I will not buy another one. I saved up for the better part of a year for this turkey and it looks like I will be eating it!

This Pact unit worked OK for 3 sessions then scale went totally out to lunch. Pact phone rep was concerned about electrical interference upsetting the scale. Was even concerned with florescent light over my bench so we tried in 3 locations around the house! I told him I was prepping for a Montana hunt and needed a replacement NOW! He wanted me to take it to work and try it there then call him back. I called Midway and they stepped up. I returned and paid the difference for the RCBS 1500 unit. Best move I could have made. All around a MUCH BETTER unit than the Pact. My advice is pay the difference for the RCBS and get a tool you will enjoy using.

This looks like a cast-off from RCBS as their earlier attempt at auto dispensing. It is not well done and RCBS has a new ChargeMaster 1500 which I got to replace the PACT through Midway (great service!). The PACT uses two powder feed tubes. One is for rapidly dispensing powder while the other is for trickling. The system will accurately dispense powder--until it stops. Then about two to three grains dump out of the rapid dispense tube. Start all over, again and again. The digital scale works fine. The combination scale and dispenser do not. The ChargeMaster uses one dispenser tube and much more sophisticated software. The PACT is sensitive to any vibration and to line voltage fluctuations--the RCBS is not. For a little more, get the RCBS ChargeMaster and avoid the hassles of the PACT.

This is an update from my review in 2006. I have used this pact scale very little. I have probably weighed out maybe 5 pound of powder thru the years. As stated before it was bad right out of the box. It has gotten worse since. I noticed that the charges were changing by a powder checker in my press. Indeed, this thing was throwing dangerous charges even after calibration and no warnings at all. Pact should be held liable if anyone ever gets hurt by this thing. The total shipping and repairs so far have cost over $60 and take forever!!! Avoid Pact products at all costs!!
