Works great. Tendency to use more than what you need but it is inexpensive. Used a little less than a teaspoon for a 16 quart Dutch oven full, about 50lbs for ingots. Stir it in and pick out the wheel weight clips and skim. Nice and clean!

Does exactly what it claims. Keep the amount small - you don't need much. Should last for several years. I would buy this product again.

This is good stuff. It's economical because only a small amount is needed, and it does a very good job of separating contaminates and floating them to the top of the melt pot where the dross can easily be skimmed off.

Works better than I thought it would, there is no smoke and a light sweet smell most people will not even smell the odor. Recommended usage on container reads 1/8 of a teaspoon to 5-10 pounds, we used about that much for a 20# pot of lead. It was my first purchase of flux and I'm happy with it, I'd buy more at the drop of a dime.

This is by far the best flux I've used! I wind up using about a half teaspoon for a 20 pound batch of metal. A pound lasts me about six months. The flux puffs up and gives a foamy black residue when it combines with any gunk. You know you've used too much if it puffs up white or light gray. Like any flux, it will smoke, but barely, not enough to be concerned with. One word of caution: The flux residue is hygroscopic (water attracting) and alkaline, so make sure you wash your tools thoroughly and wipe down your pot after casting, or they will rust! Happy Shootin'! -Tom

Great stuff, makes my wheel weight lead look like a mirror. Do yourself a favor and try some.

Like the others said this stuff works good. This was my first time purchasing flux and just a little bit will do the job. I would definitely recommend this stuff.

I will never use wax or other stuff again. This does not burst into flames or smoke horribly. It does the job quickly and I was able to take lead that had that frosty look to clean shiny bullets in a matter of minutes. It is easy to use being a powder, spoon just a dab and stir it in and scoop the garbage right off the top. This small tub will probably last me 10 years and I cast a lot!

I found this to work quite well for the money. When I use cheap cast such as wheel weights, putting a minor amount of this stuff creates a black somewhat foamy residue on top, then dries hard to where you can pick it out in one to two scoops. I've never seen my nasty lead come out so pure until I used this. Didn't really smoke for me.

A little goes a long way. Even putting more in, doesn't do quite as good a job as wax, but good enough (at least no smoke/fumes). I melt a large amount of lead in a separate cast iron pot, flux, then pour into final casting pot, flux again, and ready to go.

This definitely cleans as designed but it leaves a gummy film on the pot and casting utensils that attracts moisture. Then everything rusts, including my metal casting tool box.
