I took a chance buying this ammo. Although I've been a competition shooter for several years, I never heard of Lancer. My performance has always been improved using high grade, competition ammo, which is also usually very expensive. I bought this ammo in .38 Special for practice in SASS competition. I now use it when I compete. My Uberti Cattleman six-shooter absolutely loves this ammo. I get consistently tight groups and not a single malfunction. The ammo is superior, and you can't beat the price. I highly recommend Lancer ammo - I just wish it was offered in other calibers (e.g. 38 Long Colt and 357 Magnum), so I could use it in my other guns. My Super Blackhawk 357 doesn't particularly like the Lancer .38 Special, but it always performs better on .357 that are hot loads with heavy bullets, so I don't take anything away from Lancer because of this.

Great value - Clean brass, reliable ignition, no unusual smoke or fouling. No noticeable recoil from Winchester 1894, all rounds fed properly.

Dirtiest shooting ammo I have ever shot, 32 of 800 rds wouldn't fire,11 cases were swelled and wouldn't even chamber. Thats almost a 6% failure rate.

True story - I purchased two boxes of the Lancer reloads. The first shot sounded like a .22 round. The second misfired and jammed. The third felt like a cannon going off, the fourth just went "tink" I decided to go to different ammo. As I was about to fire my son noticed a bullet sticking out of the end of the barrel. I could not remove it and took it to a gunsmith. He discovered there were three lodged in the barrel. He said that if it had not been such a quality pistol it would have exploded. Also very dirty. Would not give this ammo away.
