The Forster Original Case Trimmer works with any cartridge from 17 to 458 caliber with a trim length no greater than 2.94" and is a perfect choice for the novice or experienced reloader looking to precisely trim down brass cases to their original length. During trimming, the case is held securely in place with an accurate Brown and Sharpe type steel collet, and the pilot keeps the neck stable.

This kit includes three collets #1, #2 and #3 that will fit most rifle cases from 17 Remington to 375 H&H Magnum and most handgun cases from 38 Special to 45 Colt (Long Colt). Also includes 22, 24, 25, 27, 28 and 30 caliber pilots. Additional collets and pilots are sold separately. Made from aluminum alloy and steel.

Excellent product! Beats Redding's by miles. Very tight tolerances, quick set-up, and outstanding quality. The fine adjustment consists of an allen screw that rides on a hardened bearing surface, so it's very easy to adjust. A pleasure to use.

This is a great product, but I highly recommend removing the crank handle and buying a flexible shaft so you can use a drill or electric screw-driver to do the work for you. It made the job much faster and more consistent.

I have used this trimmer since 1965 trimming 1000s of cases and now have another. I had the first cutter blades sharpened at a nominal cost last year with excellent service from Forster. A great tool!

Very nice and simple product. I noticed that upon receipt, some fasteners weren't torqued to where they should be. I suggest tightening all fasters prior to use, including the two common-head bolts which hold the case holder and cutter shaft onto the platform. Otherwise, the product is very nice.

I just made the change from Lyman to this wonderful tool. It is very easy to use and set up. It gives much more uniform results than any of my previous trimmers. This one is a winner.

Excellent product. Note that you have to order pilots and trimmer shaft to do 17 and 20 caliber brass.

Bought this after another major brand trimmer broke after 60 days of use. This is a quality trimmer. The workmanship is top notch, tolerances are fine and is noticeably made superior than other manual trimmers. The cutting head is so sharp it is like a hot knife cutting butter, even on military .223 brass. Consequently the deburring and chaffering time is reduced significantly due to the clean, sharp and precise cut. It's nice to receive a quality product. The "kit" is a good deal because it comes with 3 pilots and collets.

Best trimmer I have owned. Holds case firmly, unlike the RCBS Trim Pro. Ordered a special collet from Forster directly for the 5.7x28 cartridge and it works fantastic also.

I wanted to replace my RCBS Trim Pro because the cases would wobble in the shell holder and thus not cut the case mouths square. I decided to give the Forster a try and have not regretted it. This trimmer works very well and the price is reasonable. I am completely satisfied with it and I am quite picky. If you are not used to using a collet type trimmer, be sure to have the case all the way in the collet. the cutter is very sharp and a case that is out too far will be unuseably short in a couple quick turns.

Super product but make sure you buy 4 good stainless screws to secure it to your bench, instead of using the ones provided. I broke 2 off before I realized this.
