These patches are great - good tough but soft cotton. They are really, really tight if you put your jag through the center of the patch, but all you have to do is move your jag point over to one corner - you get a complete wrap on the jag with no exposed metal, you get extra surface area of the patch contacting the bore (less folded up over itself) and it slides through a 223 bore nicely. You can't beat the value!

Ideal for use with the Parker-Hale style (wrap-around) jags, outstanding value! Yeah, they're a bit big/thick for the conventional plug type jag, but I don't use those on my rimfires anyway, prefer the gentler wrap jags, a tip picked up from one of my benchrest shooter buddies.

Too snug in a .22 with the correct jag. I use a .17 jag and they work fine. I guess a .20 may work? Nice and absorbant.

These are tight in .22s. I use the synthetics for that. These will go through a .22 after a few passes with the synthetic patches to get the worst of the mess out. I use these in everything else. 6mm, 260rem, 270win, ect. You get a stray thread here and there but I just pull them off before I use them. The only solvent that rolls off a little is Sweets, but that stuff is more gel-like. Everything else absorbs fine. I had a few with the thicker edges like a previous reviewer but not a big problem like he had. These are OK. I'm buying more.

Very absorbent and durable patch BUT thicker and very difficult to get through a .223 Remington bore.

These patches are cut to the correct size. They are not very absorbent however. If you have a chamber guide with a solvent port you'll have no problems, otherwise the solvent will bead and roll off the patch. I like mine to soak up the solvent like a cotton ball. Join the NRA!

Very Disapointed patches would not fit in 223 without cutting them to a smaller size.

Bought the 1K bag, about 25% are too thick to go through a .223 bore. Looking closer at the individual patches, the ones that were unusable, half of the patch is double thick, like they were cut from the edge of the bulk material where the manufacturer tried to keep the edge from fraying. I will say though that the ones that were a consistent thickness are very absorbent, nice. But having to throw out 25% of the patches makes them too expensive.
