Pretty good for the money. No maker can make an item work super in all guns, but these are okay, even if one needs to [customize] one or two to get them functioning. I have found nearly all new mags are impossible to get the full rated capacity in at first, and many IPSC shooters say they have to fill new mags of any brand to max they can get in, and leave them full for a month or more to get the new springs to 'soften' up to hold the full amount. I knew this and was not surprised that 18 or so was all I could get in at first. Will let then 'soak' for a month, then try for more. Also, I have chickened out and ordered a mag feeder from Dawson to help load. My hands just can't take the pressure of loading high cap mags. The 'spacer' on the bottom slides off if you don't like that there, and for really good cleaning.

Weird, lots of negative comments from other buyers. I bought one of these months ago, and it loads 20 rounds with ease, fits my gun perfect, and fits and feeds just like my factory mags. I'm used to loading Sten mags though, and those have got to be the hardest mags to load on the planet. I'm buying another P14 magazine right now and hope QC issues haven't brought down what I considered to be a great product. Gun looks a little funky (like Andre the Giant's carry piece) with mag inserted, but really fits and feels good. Need to adjust my normal grip a little, as I don't usually shoot handguns with extra long mags hanging out the bottom. Its more comfortable and looks less hokey with the filler installed. I would easily trust my life to the first one I bought. If I go hiking in bear country, this is the mag I'm using along with 21 rounds of .45 ACP +P+ with an extra power recoil spring. Side note, anyone having trouble with feeding may want to try an extra power recoil spring. I installed one the day I bought my gun and have never shot it with the factory spring. It still cycles light loads, and hot loads don't make the gun feel like its pounding itself to death. I've talked to several other people that were having feeding problems with their P14s feeding with certain ammo, and when they put a stronger recoil spring in the gun, all the problems went away. I've never done anything else to the gun but clean it. I usually shoot 230 grain round nose lead loaded to the shorter WW2 style OAL, but I've never found any ammo the gun won't cycle with. It's entirely possible I got a perfect one and it's a fluke. If I have trouble with #2 I'll post a new review, and return the magazine.

Following up from my previous review on the MecGar 14rd mag, this ProMag 20rd works just as well in my Taurus 24/7 PRO C DS .45ACP! No problems whatsoever! Only negative: no witness holes on the side or rear, but they do their job very well! Wish there was a 35 or 50rd mag. That's' just ludicrous. but I would buy it!!!

Got one to try out. It would only take 17 rounds at first, but after I left it loaded for a couple days it will hold 18 without a great deal of effort...getting more in however, is simply not possible. Sticks pretty solidly in my P14 and will not drop free, even with 18 rounds in it, but can be pulled out without too much effort. It also has to be seated a bit harder than my other magazines. In it's defense I have an older frame and some mags are sticky in it. The plastic grip extension mates perfectly with my frame for a really steady feel. I thought I would take it off, but I like it a great deal. I haven't taken it to the range yet, but it cycles by hand without trouble. I will post a range review when I get a chance to shoot it.

1) There's no way to get 20 rounds into one of these. 19 requires hurculean effort and results in #18's case being dented. 2) Ordered 2. 1 would feed 200gr SWC's the other wouldn't even feed hardball without some lip work. 3) Lip came up hard & tight against my extended ejector making mag release really hard. Took .015"-.020" off top of mag release catch slot in order to free up. 4) In their defense my Para frame is one of the first made serial # 3XXX. Maybe the new ones fit better. SWC's & hardball hand cycle OK now. Will go to the range today to see if they will actually run. Will post results later.

Ran 2 mags (18 rounds)each 200gr lead SWC's & 230gr hardball pretty fast, around 2/sec. They all fed with no jams. I'm somewhat less annoyed, but not by much.
