I read the reviewer's comments about getting ribbed by his friends for using "El-cheapo" dies. Let me tell you; your friends are idiots. Anyone who can produce a product that performs the way Lee dies do for the price are the kind of folks that made this society the greatest in the world's history. If you've got a need to appear as some kind of snob who has money to burn, buy the high dollar stuff. If you want to have money to spend on components so you can get out on the range and hone your skills, buy the Lee. I promise; you will not be disapointed! They are far and away the easiest to use, service and pay for with quality performance that is second to none. I have shot ammo from every manufacturer's dies ever made to my knowledge, including those I have made myself and the Lee dies are so inexpensive and perform so well, it is a waste of time for me to produce my own dies. They even produce custom dies for your wildcats for a nominal fee with a few samples of your brass. This is a company that has earned the right to a little respect in my book.

This die set is a heck of a good value. It includes load data and a Lee Dipper, so even if you don't have a scale you can get started reloading. Warning, the 0.5cc dipper included makes very light loads with my 230 gr. bullets. Sometimes, it is not quite enough to cycle the slide and eject the case. I really do prefer the o-ring lock nut on this compared to the set screw on Lyman and RCBS. The set screw damages the threads a tiny bit. With the O-ring, if you are just a tiny bit careful when installing and removing it, it keeps its exact setting. Furthermore, you don't need a wrench to tighten it down! Very nice. The case is also better. The Lee round case doesn't have a flexible plastic hinge to eventually wear out like the RCBS and Lyman do. I'm sure they would replace the box for you free of charge if it did wear out, but why should you have to trouble over it? The RCBS and Lyman boxes, being the more conventional box style will probably stack better though. The Lee ones will stack, but the towers will get tall in short order. The Lee case mouth expanding die includes a little hole which the Lee funnel fits right into. This way, you can charge your cases either with a scoop or powder measure in the same step as flaring the case mouth. If you buy the Lee Auto Disk Pro as I did, it is automatic. (and priced right too!). The decapping pins are said to be unbreakable, as they are held tightly in place by a collet. If the force is sufficient to break the decapping pin, it just slides up the collet. There are some people who say that Lee doesn't make precision products, but I will have to disagree. The person who said their ammo shoots 'as well as factory' is doing something wrong. My first batch of reloaded 45 was easily twice as accurate as factory. Highly recommended.

Very good product if used properly. I've a shooting circle of friends, each one using a different brand of die set. We compete informally at the range. My rounds formed on Lee dies are as good and accurate if not better than theirs. Talk about performance!!

I have used these dies since 1985 with zero problems. I had purchased the EXPENSIVE carbide sets around 1977. I saw the price on Lee's die sets and thought that there was some misprint. I bought Lee's carbide set, tried them, and I have never looked back. I transferred them to my (Lee) progressive about 9 years ago and I turn out hundreds of rounds in very little time. Super precise and tougher than a bag of hammers.

I've been using this Lee die set for over 3 years now and I love it, it's easy to set-up, has good instructions and comes with a shellholder. With everything you get it's a true bargain!

I have used a set of these dies since 1983 to load well over 15,000 rounds of ammo with no problems.

I first started using this product about 15 years ago. Got my first set at a garage sale. They looked well used, but worked perfectly. Since then, I have purchased many sets of Lee Carbide Dies in various calibers. After many thousands of rounds, I have yet to replace any part of a die set. I can not believe a product lasting this long, having paid so little nomey. And yes, I am still using the garage sale dies, & they still work perfectly.

I get a lot of ribbing from my fellow shooters for using "El Cheapo" dies from Lee. But with lowest price, 20,000+ rounds thru them, results as good as factory ammo and 10 years of trouble free use. I think you're the "lemon" if you don't use Lee dies.

I can't vouch for the accuracy of the reloaded rounds, but they are more than accurate enough for practical pistol and plate shooting. These are definitely a bargain. If considering buying these dies, do yourself a favor and get the 4 die set instead as the additional factory crimp die is an unbelievably useful addition.

Never hesitate to buy a set of Lee dies!! This is the 8th or 9th I have bought and as usual the best value on the market. Don't know how they do it for the price but the dies do a great job.

Absolutely the best reloading dies on the market. Originally bought when I was single stage reloading, but have since started progressive loading. Since the resizer die is a threaded powder through die, it will also work on you Lee Pro 1000. Great Product.

I started reloading over 30 years ago useing some secondhand Herters dies, I have tried every die maker out there and I traded them all for Lee dies. Why in the heck pay for a pretty box? I only wish Lee would make some trim and case forming dies.

These dies are a good value but if you are shooting 45 out of a match grade pistol, race gun or 1911 that put together perfectly I recommend buying the taper crimp die. I had all kinds of feeding problems in all my guns until I bought a taper crimp die, problem solved.

Very good die set for the money. One of the best features is that the decapping rod is unthreaded and held by a compression nut so when you accidently try to resize a Berdan primed case (they sneak into the range bag while picking up brass) the rod pushes up into the die body instead of breaking. I did this today and was back to work in a couple minutes. I did the same thing a couple weeks ago with another brand sizing die and snapped the pin and bent the rod so badly that I need to replace it. Instead I got this Lee set and don't need to worry about it anymore.

I really like mine except that it comes with round head seater and I am having a terrible time finding a flat head seater to use on truncated cone or wad cutter & similar bullets
