Gamo produces high quality lead pellets in several configurations for hunting, target shooting and plinking. These pellets exhibit a level of consistency that reduces the variation of size and weight for tighter groups.

Technical Information

Airgun Pellets

Material: Lead

Styles: Airgun pellets are available in several styles, all based on the modern "diablo" design. "Diablo" pellets are larger on both ends, and have a thin area in the middle which seperates the head from the skirt, or base.

Wadcutter:

  • Wadcutter pellets are best suited for plinking and target shooting. Their flat heads make scoring on paper targets easy, and the wadcutter design is widely known for its stability and accuracy.

    Pointed:
  • Pointed pellets are best suited for hunting small game and pest control. Their pointed heads provide maximum penetration.

    Dome:
  • The rounded head of domed pellets decreases wind resistance and allows for maximum down range energy and accuracy. Domed pellets are good for long range (50 meters) target shooting and hunting, and work best in magnum powered air rifles.

    Hollow Point:
  • The hollow point is designed for maximum expnsion at short ranges and low velocities. It combines the stability of the wadcutter design with the increased down range energy of the dome design.

    Cylindrical:
  • The cyndrical pellet is slightly pointed at the tip, tapers in towards the middle, and flares at the base. It is good for hunting and pest control. The cylindrical design makes it one of the most hard hitting pellets available

    Notes:
  • Warning! Lead airgun ammunition contains a chemical known to the state of California to cause cancer and birth defects (or other reproductive harm). Do not inhale dust or put pellets in mouth. Wash hands after handling.

Noticed an improvement on my range of accuracy while using these pellets. Very tight grouping, while staying within 1 1/2 inches center of my target. I'm very pleased with this product from Gamo.

I have all the pellets available by Gamo and these shoot the tightest groups in the Gamo Hunter rifle.

These pellets might be accurate but they are not good on game. Because they are not designed for shooting critters (they do a horrible job at killing yard varmints) but rather accuracy I give them 5 stars because they are accurate. If they were designed for game they would get 1 star because they are no good for critters. If you need a cheap practice pellet for target shooting these cannot be beat. If you want a hunting pellet, try something else.

I have found that these pellets keep very tight groups in my Hunter 440. I have tried all four of the Gamo pellet types, the match, the superdome, the pointed and the magnum pointed. Of the four pellet styles the match pellets hold the tightest groups at 10 m and at 30 m. My group size at 10 m is about 0.5". The majority of this group size I can attribute to shooter error as the rifle will place these pellets in the same hole when shooting bench rest at this distance. Definitely the most precice pellet that I have tried for the Gamo Hunter 440 air rifle. Product quality is also fairly good. The finish is consistant. I have found a few pellets with bent skirts and scratches, but these most likely are due handling rather than manufacture.
