This scope is the perfect deer scope. Its wide angle view is clear and bright even at dusk. One might even be tempted to shoot after dusk. I like the no frills part of this scope. If a deer comes out on a run, just pull an shoot. Simple and effective...

At first I was skeptical about this scope at the price. Most always you get what you pay for. In this case you get more. I needed good eye relief for my Ruger #1 in 300 Win. Mag., good looks, finger adjustable knobs, and bright optics in early morning and late evening. All the criteria I looked for are filled with this well thought out product. The adjustments are crisp and audible. Standing at my shooting bench the clicks can be easily heard over rustling leaves. On a standard 100 yard target the Truplex reticle DOES NOT cover the bull as much as some other scopes. At 10 power group position is easily seen at 100 yards. The optics are bright enough that at 2.8 power it actually looks like higher power. And for the skeptics out there I have a 308 equipped with a custom U.S. Optics Navy Seal Sniper scope, so I do know good optics. The bottom line is someone on a budget or having too many rifles to equip with high dollar optics should try one of these, you won't be sorry. Thanks to Midway also for the rating system of honest sportsman who helped me decide on this product.

The optics are as clear and bright as my Leupolds and Redfields. This is a great scope and a great value.

I just installed this scope on a .223 Weatherby, big mistake, this glass makes all my Burris, Redfield and Weaver scopes look like something that would come on a Daisy BB gun, I can't afford to replace all my old scopes, but if I could this would be my choice. Excellent value.

This is without question the BEST inexpensive scope on the market. Outstanding brightness thanks to the fully multi-coating and a very good image all the way to the edges thanks to the Aspherical Lens. I have tried most every scope from the $$$$ Germans to the low $ junk and this is a really good one. If you are on a budget, or have too many rifles to put $$$$ scopes on them all, you won't be disappointed with this choice. Like almost any scope on the market today, in the unlikely chance you get a lemon Simmons WILL stand behind it.

I bought this scope for my .243 antelope/coyote rifle. The features, brightness, and price sold me. I shot two antelope recently at approx. distance of 285 yds. Thanks Simmons!
