With one slight twist, the HKS Speedloader instantly loads all chambers of a revolver. Strong metal points hold cartridges securely in the loader until released into a revolver. Polymer and aluminum construction.

Technical Information

Materials: Injection Molded Delrin Plastic with aluminum Knob

Notes:

  • Twisting the Aluminum Knob Drops the Cartridges
  • Oversized Grips: Some revolvers have grips that interfere with speedloaders. These grips must be altered or replaced so the speedloader does not touch the grip when cartridges are released
  • Speedloader Pouch Compatibility: See Suggested Products

See HKS Revolver Speedloaders in the Application Charts & Information on more applications.

I've used an HKS DS speedloader for as long as I've owned my Detective Special. This speedloader always worked flawlessly with my Colt, and has never failed me even once. It retains the six catridges very securely, and positively releases them every time with a twist of the knob. Though simple in construction, I have no qualms with its quality. There is one caveat, however. Please make sure that the grips on your particular Colt D-Frame are relieved for speedloaders, so that you don't waste your money on something which won't have the proper clearance to neatly drop the ammo directly into the cylinder. Should this apply to you, you might want to consider Bianchi 580 speed strips instead of splurging on new set of grips which allow for the use of speedloaders. Speed strips will work just as well as speedloaders, and are more economical than the latter.
