I use it to spray case lube on .223 Rem and .204 Ruger. Nice snug fit on both. I can even pick up a fully loaded tray and stack another fully loaded tray on top of it for moving from one bench to another. I also have the RCBS universal tray and it is worthless for my needs since it covers up half of the case and does not hold the case snug at all.

A universal product usually does nothing very well, but that's not true of the Hornady Universal Case Loading Block. I tried it with several case sizes, and it holds them very securely, and offers a couple of options for .223. I can load it in the small pistol wells that are about 2/10" deep (on the side that isn't shown in the photo) and most of the case protrudes, but the cases are still precisely located and won't tip out of the shallow wells. This is handy, because I spray case lube on the cases (see the review of Lee Case Lube) and having most of the case exposed allows it all to be coated, including down inside the necks. The staggered rows also help with the spray-on coverage, as well as stacking the cases closely together but still allowing access by my big fingers and a powder funnel. The side not shown also has indentations inside the square wells that locate two different sizes of cases, so this really is much more than two sizes of squares as I expected. The only caliber I tried that did not work well was the .40 S&W / 10mm. That wasn't a big deal for me because I load pistol brass on a progressive press and wouldn't need a loading block for those calibers. But 9mm and similar cases fit great in the little round wells, like they were designed for it. The top side lists the following rifle cartridges: .375 H&H, .338, .300, 7mm, .254 Mag, 30/30, + The top side lists the following pistol cartridges: 44 Mag, 41 Mag, 357 Mag, .38, + The bottom side (not shown) lists the following rifle cartridges: .222, .223, .22-250, .270, .308, 30-06, + The bottom side lists the following pistol cartridges: .30 Luger, .32, .380, 9mm, .45, + The plus indicates other, less popular cartridges.

An excellent reloading tray that is durable and utilitarian. It is identical, except in color, to the Lyman reloading tray at a better price.

I bought two of these - they work as advertised and the price is right. Then again, it's a reloading tray - it's not rocket science. The price is right and this is the kind of product you'll only ever have to buy once because it's made to last a long, long time.

I have a couple of these and love 'em. They work just as advertised, stackable and all. I use 'em w/ '06-sized cases and with 30-30 cases and they're great whichever. I'll be buying a couple more of these to replace the specialized models on my bench. Being stackable isn't just handy in loading process, but makes storage neater... my wife knows I need help w/ that...

These work great... I use 3 of them for my reloading, and they are very versatile. I especially like being able to charge cases, then stack them with an empty on top to protect the loads if I need to take an extended break and come back to them another day... Keeps 'em covered and safe, as well as portable.

I'm new to reloading and these are the first reloading trays I've bought, so I can't compare them against other brands. But I'm very pleased with the ones I have. I like that they are stackable (even when loaded with cases, offset one row of course) so they take up less room on my reloading bench. I'm currently only reloading .45ACP and these trays work great. I expect them to work just as well when I start loading the other calibers I want to load eventually (.223, .264WM, 7mmRM, .308, .300WM, 9mm, and .38/.357).

I have 4 of these. They were the first ones I bought when I began reloading, and recently (out of curiosity) I looked at other types to see if something better may be available. I did not find any other types that performed sufficiently better to warrant spending my money on. These are fairly priced and do the job nicely.

These work well and are priced reasonably, but I like the MTM's better for some reason I find hard to express.

I would recommend this reloading tray. It works great for it being a universal tray. I have yet to have any problems with it holding cases good. I don't think it can be beat exp. for the price.
