Used by world class shooters like Todd Jarrett, XTP Bullets feature a performance-improved point that has 6 precise folds to divide the bullet into symmetrical sections and initiate controlled expansion at low velocities while not fragmenting at higher velocities. They expand reliably at a wide range of velocities for a deep, terminal penetration with every shot.

Each XTP Bullet has a swaged core and drawn copper jacket to ensure uniform expansion and in-flight stability. Adding a cannelure to this bullet keeps the core and the jacket locked together while also allowing the cartridge case to tightly crimp, adding security at high velocities.

After reading all the reviews I can assure you that, after more than 12 years of using this bullet, they are correct. I have loaded this bullet from 750-1800fps and the performance is excellent. I have seen this bullet impact various media, game and non-game, and it always works. Accuracy is maintained throughout the range: I cannot discern differences between 750 or 1800 fps group sizes. The current lot I have of these measure between .662-.664. .002 spread, this is outstanding for any bullet. Best of all they come packed 100 to a box and are priced correctly. Kindest regards.

I have used these rounds extensively in my Ruger 454. They have proven to be extremely accurate and offer bone crushing power when used with H110. I would reccomend these to anyone who is looking for a excellent round for hunting. The are also reasonably priced to accomidate using for practice as well.

Fantastic Bullet. My Ruger Blackhawk .45 Colt will shoot 3/4 in. groups consistently at 25 yds. When loaded to +P specs. (1375 fps), this bullet performs wonderfully on deer size game. I also use this bullet in my muzzle loaders.

This is the best hunting bullet I have tried so far in my Ruger Blackhawk 7 1/2" SA. I load it up pretty hot (not more than the Hodgdon manual says)with H110 (about 1150 fps). I limit my shots with open sights to about 50 yards. Outstanding performance when I do my part.

Very accurate bullets...shoot great out of my Vaquero in .45 Colt and very tight at 50 yards out of my Winchester Trapper.45 Colt. XTPs work great on whitetails out of my .50 cal muzzleloader as well...

This has to be one of the best bullets I have ever found for Sitka Blacktail Deer My daughter took her first deer, eight point buck, using a light loaded XTP out of a 1894S Marlin with a 16.5" barrel at around 900FPS It made a 4" hole on the off side of the ribcage, but never exited. The deer never made it more than 10 yards before dropping, the lungs were gone. I would be surprised but to test this bullet out before my daughter used it I took a doe at an unheard of range with the same load 220 yards and it did the same thing putting a giant ragged hole on the off side of the ribcage leaving the lungs nothing more than a phlegm bag. This is a good bullet best I have ever came across in 20+ years of hunting. It also groups well. A big thumbs up. Thanks MidwayUSA for giving me a good bullet at a good price.

Great bullet. I Consistently get 5-shot groups of 2 1/4 inches @ 50 yds. while shooting from the bench with a hand rest. The firearm used is a scoped (Burris 2-7x) Ruger Redhawk revolver with a 7.5 inch barrel. The bullet is loaded to +P or "Magnum" performance level with 19.0 grains of AA #9 for an average chronographed velocity of 1,250 f.p.s. Last Autumn, I took this revolver and handloaded cartridge combination on a feral pig hunt and took out a 230 lb. hog with one frontal shot at 60 yards. I saw the hog's entire body give a violent shake when the bullet hit. He was able to run about 20 feet but abruptly collapsed to the ground about 3 seconds after being hit. The bullet entered near the left base of the hog's neck and created a nickel-size enterance wound. The bullet did not exit but was enlodged in the right pelvic bone. The front section of the 250 gr. XTP HP bullet mushroomed into a badly flattened shape almost the size of a quarter. However, the bullet's jacket and core remained intact, and the bullet still weighted 203 grains after penetrating about 22 inches of flesh.

Loaded these to 1650fps in my Marlin 1894 Cowboy carbine. Consistently shot under 1.5"/100yd with peep sights. Shot a pretty big muley buck over the weekend at around 75yds. High shoulder/spine shot. Deer was DRT. Even though bullet disintegrated on spine, there were plenty of bone fragments, etc. That's a lot of bone, so I was not surprised nor disappointed with the bullet's performance.

Last Nov 19th, I took an 8 point whitetail at with my 7 1/2" Blackhawk at 35 yards with open sites, while the deer was walking, quartering away slightly. Though my shot was a little high, that deer looked like he was hit between the eyes with a sledgehammer!! He dropped in his tracks like a sack of rocks, kicked about twice and was done. No exit wound so all of the energy was expended in the deer. The lungs were totally destroyed. I mean it turned the lungs into soup! Great performance!

Just finished the Iowa shotgun season and I must say that this bullet out of a 15" 45 colt encore (purchased just a few weeks ago from Midway) with a heavy load of 2400 is one heck of a deer killing setup. I shot 3 deer, one at 60 yds, one at around 100 yds and the last, a doe on a dead run at over two hundred yards. The accuracy is great and the bullet performance is very consistent and decisive, you definitely know when you hit 'em with one of these. I was a bit surprised that the doe taken at 200 yds had such badly bloodshot front shoulders, I hit her on the front of the shoulder and got complete penetration and the exit wound wasn't much bigger than the caliber of the bullet but both front shoulders were scrap. I would definitely use these bullets again but I’d try to avoid the shoulders... but then thats good advice with any bullet in my opinion.

While late turkey hunting, I brought my Ruger 45 if I saw a wild pig. Getting set up to call in a big tom, I saw a huge 10 point buck sneaking about 50 yards away, This was a shot of a lifetime with all my custom rifles locked up in the safe, I got a good shot off and the big buck dropped instantly. The 250 gr. HP/XTP went though both shoulders. I was very impressed with this bullet, for I use it in my Savage muzzleloader with the same results. Cheap in price, 100 to the box and extremely deadly results.

This is my “standard” bullet for the 45 Colt. It is the bullet by which all others are measured. It has shot accurately for me over the years in every revolver, rifle and muzzle loader I've tried it in. It performs well from 800-1650 f.p.s. Premium bullet performance at a blue collar price. Cheers.

Still shooting these out of my Ruger Redhawk and doing well. I loaded the 250gr bullets on top of various amounts of Alliant Blue Dot powder, and I'm having great results. So far, the best blend of power, control and accuracy is 14.25gr. I don't have a chrony, but I'm guessing they're departing at over 1100ft/s. Still waiting to see the results against game. With my crappy trigger pull and tired hand, they still went into 4" at 50yds with a 2x Leupold atop the 5.5" gun, well under "minute of deer."
