Thunder Ranch Training Center and Cor-Bon have teamed up to produce this deep penetrating, 100% weight retention ammunition. The Barnes X Bullets are created from solid copper, so they don't have a jacket to separate from the core. They are heat treated for toughness with a deep frontal cavity. This allows the nose to peel back on impact to more than twice the original diameter, creating four razor-sharp petals.

Ballistics Information

  • Muzzle Velocity: 1075 fps
  • Muzzle Energy: 475 ft. lbs.

    Special Note About Cor-Bon Ammunition:
Cor-Bon will occasionally use popular industry branded brass when loading their ammunition depending on availability.

  • Attention!
You must be 18 or older to order ammunition. Ammunition must ship UPS ground. Due to Department of Transportation regulations, we cannot accept returns on Ammunition. Make sure to use the correct ammunition in your gun. Check local laws before ordering.

I put it in my Glock 36 as defense ammo when I'm camping with the family. I shot some and it had a fairly good group, fed well, and recoil was fine. I choose the copper solid bullet for penetration in case of a large animal, but could also be used for some person looking to do harm. I recommend the ammo.

Overall it is a good product. I believe it will hit harder than the standard loads. I have used it in my Kimber Custom II, and it gave good accuracy and precision. It does recoil more than my normal carry loads, even with the 185 grain bullets as opposed to the usual 230 bullets I use. But with the increased velocity stated on the box, I would expect that.
