Lee mold blocks are machined from aluminum blocks because of its exceptional molding qualities. Aluminum molds heat up and cool down faster than iron or steel molds so good bullets can usually be produced after only a few casts. Lee molds produce bullets faster than iron or steel molds due to the minimized down time between casts. In addition, they are one-third the weight of iron or steel mold blocks for less fatigue during extended casting sessions. To ensure the best possible bullets, mold block halves are clamped together and then lathe-bored for unmatched roundness and size control. All Lee 1- and 2-cavity molds come with mold handles and hard anodized sprue plates. Weights given are Lee's weights with suggested alloy; actual weight may vary due to alloy mixture used.

Fantastic bullet. My PT1911, and Combat Commander love it. It casts to .452, and weighs exactly 200rs. I size it at .452, pan lube it with homemade lube. It cycles real well, no leading, no issues. I set bullet depth by using a 230gr ball load and adjusting the bullet depth with that. I found, smoking the mold, if you open the mold and then smoke it, it is more complete. A mere push with the stick and the sprue plate severs the sprue. I drop the sprue button into the pot, and drop the bullets into water. I preheat the mold by dipping a corner into the pot and watching the lead. When it slides off the mold corner, it is ready. First four bullets had short corners, the rest, flawless. I use 19lbs wheel weight, 1lb tin. I use the 95-5 leadless solder. After 500 bullets, I refilled the pot with ingots I made of wheel weight, no more tin. Sharp corners, no wrinkles. I paid for the entire rig with one casting session, and the mold shows no wear whatsoever. I like that.

An economical but good mold. Produces good profile 0.456" bullet w/c cuts paper nicely. Very accurate out of my Ruger P-90. No jams. I use only wheel weights and savings gained is substantial. The lube grooves holds ample wax. Using Lyman orange lube virtually no leading experienced. Lee molds are good enough.

Works well. Bullets barely even need to be sized, really just needs lubing. Fires tight groups. Loads great in revolvers. Drawback: Jams every time in automatic by the case mouth. Profile of bullet is too wide, won't chamber properly and will lock the slide up.

This is the best shooting bullet I've found for my 45s, however I gave it 3 stars because after it has cast some 5000 bullets the mold has just about had it.

I have used this mould for one casting session. No problems with the bullet mould or the quality of the bullet that are cast. The reason for the 3 stars is that the bullet doesn't function well in my Kimber 1911. The cone is too truncated and will occasionally fail to feed properly. I also have the other 200grn mould from Midway, item #378487 works great in my Kimber and I will buy that model in the 6 hole version as soon as possible.
