At first, you're like, I spent $18 on this thing? When you get it installed (about two minutes if you've ever detail stripped) you realize it's everything it needs to be and nothing more. It's well designed to do the job it's intended to do. Until GLOCK starts making these stock, I'd say it's a must-have for every GLOCK pistol.

I purchased two, one for my 26 and one for my 19. Simple installation and they add just enough extra area for a no worries release of the slide or hold open lock when clearing the gun after dropping the magazine. Does not interfere with my holster. Does not snag on clothing either.

This is the best item to put on your Glock. It definitely is better than the flat release they are shipped with from the factory. It is just long enough to aid in a fast release of the slide and is not so big that it causing pain in concealed carry. It should be standard from the factory. I have them on all my Glocks. Truly worth 5 stars.

I recently bought this part to enhance my G23. I had this item installed within 10 minutes of striping my gun. The part functions very well and allows me to release the slide without changing my grip. I wholeheartedly recommend this upgrade. The best $20 I've spent on my G23 so far.

I recently bought this part to enhance my G23. I had this item installed within 10 minutes of sliding out the pin. The part functions very well and allows me to release the slide without changing my grip. I am a left handed shooter and the factory release is just too flat using your index finger to press it. This item did not interfere with my Blackhawk Level 3 duty holster or Blackhawk SERPA off duty holster. I wholeheartedly recommend this upgrade. The best $20 I've spent on my G23 so far!

My Glock 21 always gave me trouble releasing the slide. I was going to take it to a gunsmith, but wanted to research prices before doing so. I decided to try it myself, and ordered this slide release. It's identical except for a very small ledge on top of the slide. After watching a couple youtube videos showing how to remove the two pins, I had it installed. And it makes ALL the difference. Glock should use this one standard. But do yourself a favor and get one of these. It makes slide release incredibly simple, and it's so easy to install. I'd never more than field stripped my Glock before.

Bought this originally to try on my Glock 19 but decided to use it on my Glock 30SF instead. The G30 release was just too tight to the frame and my finger never felt like it actually engaged the release at all. This replacement extended lever works great. Though not listed in the description, it does fit the G21 and G30 as well. The extended lever makes it much easier to lock and release. I believe in practicing both methods of release (rack and lever) to be proficient either way. This makes the lever way MUCH easier. Don't stick out far at all and you barely notice it unless you are looking for it. Does not interfere with either IWB or OWB holsters. Drops right into factory slot with no hassle. Takes about 3-15 minutes to do depending how knowledgeable you are with your glock. Overall, HIGHLY recommended for the thicker frames as well as any frame where you might want a little more leverage.

Glock should make an extended slide stop/release standard. This product DOES work on a Glock 21 even though it's not in the product description. Makes it much easier to move the slide forward after emergency reloads and you do not have to use your support hand to rack the slide back in order to get it to go forward. I gave it 4 stars because I wish Midway put a side view of the product because the slide stop doesn't stick out very far (almost not far enough!). You still need to apply a decent amount of pressure to release it, but is leaps and bounds over the stock part. Do not worry about this getting caught up in a holster or on your clothes. I'd say it's almost impossible because of the smooth rounded edges and slim profile. Not only does this part extend slightly away from the frame, but also back toward the shooter's thumb. I have fairly large hands (hence the G21 non-SF version) and it puts the slide stop/release just forward of the knuckle on my thumb.
