I am a beginnig reloader and have been buying several books on reloading, to learn what is involved and what is good basic equipment to get started with. The ABC's of Reloading is a very useful resuorce for anyone wanting to get involved, or already involved, in reloading. A very good amount of reloading information is given and it is clearly written. I would recommend this book to anyone who interested in learning more about reloading. It has some very useful information that you could pay a lot more for at a bargain price.

I bought this one along with Richard Lee's Mordern Reloading 2nd Ed. I've enjoyed the articles about hunting and match shooting. It has useful info on technique at the beginning as well as resource info on powders which I have found useful in selecting the ones I use. A good book for understanding the endless possibilities of reloading your favorite cartridges.

Plenty of good information contained within, for the novice and the reloader with some experience. The 33 chapters are more like stand-alone articles. They're organized by topic, but only the first 14 chapters (147 pages) cover the reloading basics and read like a cohesive instructional book. The last half of the book is a collection of mostly interesting articles related to reloading, written by different authors. It's a lot like reading magazine articles to learn the less basic aspects of reloading. The book makes good use of black and white pictures and hand drawn images to illustrate the various equipment and techniques, especially in the first half. There were too many hunting stories and pictures of dead animals for my taste, but others may enjoy that aspect of hunting. To me, the 17 images of dead animals seemed more appropriate to hunting articles and less useful in a book on reloading. If you only buy one reloading book, I'd recommend Modern Reloading Second Edition by Richard Lee. It's a less expensive hardbound book. I learned more from the Lee book, which has 200 very readable pages of reloading instruction and 500 pages of very useful load data, but you can also learn a lot about reloading from The ABC's of Reloading, 8th Edition.

Good book for basic reloading, mainly for new comers. I agree with Bruce. The Modern Reloading Second Edition by Richard Lee was much more informantive. Stresses and explains safety more.
