My 1894 Cowboy loves this stuff. 2-3" groups at 100 yards with iron sights. The bullet expands to .8" - 1.25" on Texas whitetails and stay together. Bullet works well with H110 as well.

Absolutely the best .44 mag factory bought ammo on the market. Point blank accuracy at a 100 yards and 1" groups at 25 yards with a Ruger Bisley. It does have a brilliant muzzle flash and an exhilarating recoil. Not for the faint of heart.

I have been shooting 44 mags for over 20 years -- I reload it and love h-110 and 296--mostly for the note the blast makes and the flash -- this load out of a 7.5 inch Ruger flattop was not at all abusive and it consistently hit the 200 yd ram and 100 yd pig -- there is plenty of flash and it does do just as well as any 44 does but in a good sized gun it is pleasant. I shot the same load out of a S&W scandium revolver in 44 mag, before I finished a box it had blistered my hand broke the blister and ripped the skin under it. So I got a sorbothane shooting glove and one cylinder full ripped the leather and sorbothane. A range officer informed me that the recoil was pointing the gun behind me. I let him shoot it --

Very accurate but pretty rough recoil in my Taurus. It must be loaded under higher pressure. You definitely need shooting glasses with this stuff because of ''powder blowback''

Personally I love this round. It fires beautifully out of my Ruger SBH with a 2 inch 5 shot group at 25 yards. This was the ammo I bought for my first outing with a .44 and was really taken aback by it. Large and loud blast. I always try to have some of this on hand and use it for hunting as well as the range.

This round gave me a 2" group at 100 yards from my Ruger semi-auto rifle. I shot a deer at 80 yards right behind the shoulder, hitting both lungs and the bullet stopped just under the hide. The deer ran about 60 yards and hit the ground.

I must admit, I love the muzzle flash on this round. It illuminated the whole firing line at the indoor range, and the percussion rocks! You can see the wave of dirt on the floor move as the shock wave passes. I also liked that the recoil was low for a 1610 fps round as well. Must be that it was the 180 gr bullet. It punched holes in 3" at 25yards on a sandbag with a 7.5" Ruger Vaquero. I've never been hunting with this round but it is fun to shoot!

Dirty, average accuracy, big muzzle flash, and lots of recoil, but if you want the hottest affordable ammo on the market, then this it. It chronographed 1537fps out of a 5" 629, and 2,182fps out of a Ruger carbine.

I bought this to try out my new (to me) Browning 92. It shot a pretty good 10 shot group of 2-3" standing off-hand at 25 yards with a few bullets going through the same hole. It was definitely loud though I didn't find the flash as bad as others here out of my 20" barrel. I will have to say the recoil was tremendous! The gun just has a steel butt plate and I was wearing a t-shirt, so I ended up with a bruised shoulder after 20 rounds. I'm just waiting on my dies to come so I can load up some wimpy cast plinking loads. So, would I buy this ammo again? absolutely! Clean, accurate, reliable, plus good reloading brass. I'll just make sure I put on my slip-on recoil pad before shooting this ammo again.

I can't comment on the hunting quality of this ammo, But have to chime in that it is a BLAST to shoot out of my S&W 629 6.5" ported. Huge daytime fireball, shocking concussion. Recoil is manageable. I shoot it for amusement only. I double-up on the ear protection for this one.

The muzzle blast and recoil are to be expected with this round, and it is a little harsh. What is not expected is the grouping from my 7.5" Redhawk with 4X Leopold. Six rounds at 50 yards on bench (no sand) 4-5" groups is horrific. I could tell you that at 50yds. it is normal for 2"-2.5" groups with comparable bullet weights, velocity, and recoil. The box is only worth its brass. But is it FUN at indoor ranges with snubby's!!

This weekend was my first experience with a .44 magnum, but I can say that this ammo did have quite a bit of muzzle flash, and was quite dirty. But the groups at 70yds were not bad for my first time shooting this caliber.

This load is at the top of the list for velocity and recoil at 1610 fps. Sharper recoil than most 44mag loads. Lots of muzzle flash. Accuracy is medium.

Ammunition was accurate, but my 44 Desert Eagle consistently experienced feeding and ejection problems with this ammo. Federal ammo was much better, no feed or ejection problems.

My Marlin 1894 did not like it at all. Groups all over the place. Humongous muzzle flash. Strong and sharp recoil that challenges my own *hot* H110 handloads. Flattened primers indicate extreme pressure. Needless to say, I did not finish the pack.

Well, I'll never buy this ammo again. I went to the range with my S&W 629 Classic and found out what BLINDING muzzle blast is in an indoor range. The whole range could see and feel the blast with dividers in between each lane! Recoil was pretty bad too, but what can you expect in a 1610 FPS load. This is the box that is sold at Walmart, so I guess that is why I see lots of hardly used .44s for sale! People must shoot a few rounds of this stuff and sell their guns. This was completely unenjoyable to shoot. Everybody on the firing line just stopped and walked over to ask what I was shooting. Horrible stuff. I will pull the remainder of the bullets and reload. I finished the outing firing some Black Hills 300gr rounds and they felt like .38 spl by comparison.

My 1894 did not like it at all. I was just about ready to take my scope off and throw it into the woods as bullets were 10 inches high and to the right, then 10” low and to the left. Then I went back and fired three rounds of Winchester 240 gr that clover leafed at 80 yards. Same gun still hot. I have 35 rounds left that you can have if you want it as long as you promise not to kill an animal with it.
