Most EXCELLENT range bag!!! Sturdy materials and durable construction with five zippered compartments (one smaller size on each side; one wide on the front; two wide on the back), including several gusseted magazine pockets, and an interior slot pocket (perfect for our range ID cards). Its top opens/closes with parallel double zippers with a connecting pull strap - to open/close from one side to the other; thus, the top opens out to one side. This particular side connects to the body of the bag, while the other has velcro at its opening edge to further secure its closure. The crescent-shape of the shoulder piece prevents the bag from slipping off the shoulder when carried, and, its nice padded width provides comfort without the strap digging into the shoulder. The D-rings are generously sized and securely stitched to the bag to prevent the shoulder strap from getting tangled at either side. My spouse and I fit a good amount of cleaning gear (yes, I bought a LOT because I wasn't sure what to get) - including multiple caliber BoreSnakes/brushes/jags, picks, cleaning cloths, solvents (over half a dozen 4 oz. bottles), cleaning patches, cleaning rods; ammo (easily a couple or few hundred rounds of 45 Colt boxed ammo); snap caps ranging from 38 caliber to 12 gauge; a couple of semi-automatic speed loaders, two pairs of electronic earmuffs; a thick roll of paper towels; range membership IDs; a dozen or so packets of corded ear plugs; etc. All this fits quite nicely in organized fashion without placing any strain or duress on this terrific range bag. This bag is clearly well thought-out with its smart design. After purchasing ours and enjoying its ease of use (strength, comfort, and durability), I bought a couple more to give as gifts. It's a really great bag and far more functional than what I've seen locally.

This range bag is jut the right size for any trip to the range. I like it that I can put my mags in the outer pocket, use the two inner pockets to keep my pistols separate from my eye and ear protection and still carry some boxed ammo. This is a sound range bag and would be worth the cost at double the price.

I have used many different range bags over the years, but I have to say that this is by far the best, and for the money, one of the most economical bags available. Recently, my brother and a friend brought theirs to the range, and I couldn't believe the quality. Several pockets, mag pouches, etc. Plenty of room for ammo, hearing and eye protection, dicumentation (manuals, club documents, etc.) and other materials. I'm back again to pick one up for my wife. This bag is a great buy.

If you are searching for a bag to carry all your usual needs for a day at the range, look no more. If you pack this bag snugly, you will not be able to carry it! I have loaded the bag with items for two pistols and my 10/22. This includes four 30 round mags for the 10/22, six magazines for my Beretta Neos, three mags for my Beretta 9mm, hundreds of rounds of ammo for them, two complete sets of hearing protection, an UPLula, a Bear Creek reloader for the 10/22, a set of binocs for target inspection, a stapler for the targets, targets and oh, did I mention the two pistols?! The quality of construction is excellent and will obviously last for years. When I thought about the larger bag that Midway offers, I did some measurements and realized I wouldn't be able to carry it if I filled it up! GET THIS BAG! You won't be sorry.

Impressive. I liked that it carried over 500 rounds of .45acp, 2 full-size 1911's, a snub-nosed revolver, a pocket gun, rounds for those guns, a cleaning kit, 7 mags, etc. I repeatedly, lugged all of this around for 2-days, all without the bag falling apart.

This bag is great. It easily holds both my S&W MP9s, hearing and eye protection, 6 magazines, magazine loader, targets and enough ammo (200-300 rds) for a good session at the range. The quality is comparable to bags costing twice as much.

Bought two of these about two months ago when they were on sale. Have one for my two S&W M&P's and one for my two rim fire autos with red dots. Enough room for all the necessary eye and ear protection, plenty of ammo, holsters, Maglulla, etc. Has seven mag pouches. A great buy at a great price.

This bag is just the right size. I have the regular size range bag and I have a tendency to fill it up and because it is so large, it gets really heavy. But with this bag, I drop two guns, eyes and ear protection, mags and a couple of boxes of ammo and it is the perfect size. It is rugged and looks like it would take a lot of abuse. Perfect...

Have never seen the "Regular" Range Bag, but this "Compact" bag is HUGE. Use to lug an old ammo can to the range, and I'd have to swap out my gear depending on what guns I was taking. Now I can leave it all in there and just grab and go. Probably two handguns, muffs, a pile of ammo, magazines, and tools - and it still has pockets for more stuff. The nylon is very heavy duty and stiff, and the hardware is super sturdy. My favorite thing is it stays rigid, it does not collapse on itself easily - so you can drop your gear in or take it out without having to grab and fumble for the opening.

Very well made. As previous post: 2 cased guns and 2 ears in center large compartment, 4- 50 rnd boxes ammo in a side compartment (mag holder area), glasses and small tool set in the end pockets, targets in another side pocket- still have room for more. if it were any bigger, you'd have to buy more stuff to fill it up.

TONS of room in this so-called "compact" bag. It will easily fit a cased Glock 23, soft cased Taurus PT-111 and PA-63 plus about 100 rounds for each pistol...probably room for more, but that's all I've put in there so far. It also still has plenty of space for my eyes and ears, a full cleaning kit and assorted tools. It's very well manufactured, and carries easily in hand or over the shoulder. Did I also mention it was a bargain for the price? I would definitely recommend this to anyone with a need for a range bag-Midway USA hit a grand slam with this one!

I have carried 3 pistols and related gear in this bag and never felt it was stuffed. Everything was organized in the various compartments...both inside and on the outside of the bag. Appears to be well made, too!

This bag gives me all that I need, but not much I don't. I did a lot of research before buying a range bag. This one has to be one of the best buys out there. I have mine loaded with the following: 2 100 count boxes of 9mm, my cleaning rods and brushes, a small bottle of oil, wipes, eyes, and ears, targets, my loader, 6 mags, and most importantly my M&P, and my model 686 revolver. Everything fits just fine with room for about 10 more boxes of ammo. The bag is very well thought out, and very sturdy. I can't imagine needing anything bigger for an afternoon at the range. I'd say the one thing I would have liked to see was the pouch at the end of the bag to be soft inside and padded, or more ridgid so I could hold my safety glasses separatly and keep them from getting scratched. I guess that's how good this bag is, is that is all I can complain about. I highly recommend this bag.

This is an excellent Range Bag. It is well made and durable. I carry 2 pistols, ear muffs, Glasses (2 sets), Small Binoculars, 200 rounds of ammo, and a couple of towels in the center compartment with room to spare. The 2 side compartments hold Targets (8.5x11") on one side and magazines, tools, speed loader, oil, etc on the other. The end pockets hold Clothes Pins used to clip the targets to the fence. My wife liked this bag so much that she asked for one. It has plenty of room, yet is not too large. I would recommemnd it to anyone looking for a midsized bag perfect for 2 to 3 pistols.

All of the superlatives about this bag are right on the money! The bag is well thought out, well laid out and well built. The center compartment comfortably holds five 50 round boxes of ammo across the bottom and could be stacked 2 or 3 high. I can put 2 pistols in Bore Stores bags in the outside pocket and as already mentioned the mag pocket holds plenty of mags.

Great bag! Very sturdy with overbuilt hardware and good structure due to the reinforcement/padding on the bottom and sides. It's got the dual-zipper panel opening at the top, just like the original. I threw 2 cased pistols, earmuffs, glasses, all my magazines, some targets and about 200 rounds of ammo in it and headed to the range. It was pretty full at that point, but the padded shoulder strap made it easy to carry. Much smaller than the original MidwayUSA bag, but still large enough to handle a full morning of pistol shooting.

Great Bag. Picture really doesn't do justice to reveal the quality. Also bag is much deeper black in color that the grey-ish hue in the photo. This is a very nice bag, many compartments & straps for mags. Got it on sale, which even at its standard price is worth it. States compact but would more consider it more of a mid-size and actually perfect size. I have been a Midway customer for many years and their branded products are very good. Save your money on things to put in the bag rather than getting a more expensive bag. The quality of this one is on par with bags 3x its cost.

Not only great for the range - as others have stated, this is an excellent bag for the range when you don't need the huge space of the bigger model - but this is the bag I grab first if I have to fly somewhere. No problem fitting under the seat, stores all I need to bring onboard with room to spare. Very durable. The only thing I did, and recommend, is to black out the white 'Midway' logo with a black marker to make it less obvious. It's more subdued now and I still had a TSA agent ask me if that was a 'range bag'. Wasn't an issue, but I don't care for the extra attention. Air travel is frustrating enough as it is.

Superb product. All the bags I looked at had extremely small magazine pouches. This thing has 7 magazine pouches that will hold two single stack mags each or one double stack. There is also a line of different sized elastic pouches that could also be used as mag holders. I have been able to consolidate to much larger bags into this one bag and still have room for the kitchen sink. Get one!

The wide should-strap pad makes the bag really comfortable to carry even when it is heavily loaded. I highly recommend this bag.

I bought this bag along with the larger competition bag. In comparison, this bag has less specialized features and compartments but as much usable interior space. Good Stuff: semi hard bottom, same heavy construction/materials, less specialized /compartments that waste space. Not so good: No pistol pouch's included, no drink holder, no brass bag. Same "issues" as larger comp bag stuff: Not lockable, no large external pocket ( or loops) for muffs. Despite my need for max capacity, I'm thinking I'm going to keep this simpler/ less restrictive bag and return the comp bag.

It's a good bag. Sturdy, nice looking and plenty of storage room for a compact bag. I bought both sizes. I didn't rate it 5 stars because of 2 things. After taking it to 3 IPSC competitions the top zipper got stuck on the end of the flap and then broke. The other thing is that if you put much weight inside the carry strap will not hold the weight and you will carry a bag that rides below your knees because it won’t hold the length adjustment if you put let's says a couple of guns and 6 or 7 boxes of ammo. I had to needle stitch mine to prevent that. On the other side, I already called the great people of Customer Service and I will be exchanging it today. Midway backs up the quality of their product, that's why I like to buy so much from these people. In other terms, this is a great bag( that is why I'm getting another) and no one can beat Midway's service. Kudos to the Customer Service people.
