Just mounted one on my S&W 22A pistol. Fits perfectly on the built in rail, works flawlessly even in sunlight. My gun went from a so-so shooter to a tack driver with 1" groups at 35 yd. I don't like having to remove it to change the battery though. Now I need one for my .357!

Almost dead on right out of the box. Very visible even in daylight. Mounted on quad rail of AR carbine and it hasnt missed a beat after a 400 round session. After reading the other reviews, I stretched the spring a bit and snugged the battery cap down with a screwdriver and so far, so good. Several friends tried it and all were impressed, when I told them it was a $50.00 sight, they were floored!

Purchased this to go on a new AR-15 that I was building. Once at the range and only eyeball bore sighting, I tried it out at 100yds from solid benchrest and found I was shooting about 5" high but windage was perfect right out of the box. That put me right on out to 250yds and I left it alone. Couldn't be more pleased for the money. I found the # 5 setting best for bright lit days but at dusk or darker skies the sight is awesome with its 11 different light settings. Wish I had bought two at the sale price but it's definitely worth the normal price too.

Probably the best buy for a holographic sight. I really appreciate the ability to choose between the four sight patterns. The patterns provided will cover all of my shooting requirements. I am using this sight on a Beretta U22 Neos semiautomatic pistol. It fits perfectly and adds to the streamline appearance of the gun. Other red-dots sights took away from this appearance. Shooting with it, adds additional pleasure. This is my first holographic sight and is making me think twice about the various red-dots that I own. In my opinion, this unit equals or surpasses those costing much more.

Great holo sight for the price. NO/NO problems at all with the one I mounted on an AR-15. Unless you are deploying to the sandbox or really have the need for a TACTICOOL look, get one of these and save your money for ammo.

Mounted this on my Olympic Arms AR 15. Experienced none of the problems referred to in unfavorable reviews, e.g. difficulty in adjusting reticle or brightness knobs, loose battery, failure to function. Our range faces directly into the afternoon sun yet I found that the 1 MOA dot at brightness setting 8 worked very well for small targets without obscuring them. This sight is a bargain at this price, despite the luck-of-the-draw comments I read about BSA in general. I've had very good luck with BSA products, particularly their fixed 36x target scopes. If you can find them, buy five; I did and they're great scopes.

I have purchased 3 of these in total so far. One is on an M4. All have functioned flawlessly. I was very hesitant at first because for the low price. I wondered if these Holo's would stand up. Boy do they and so well. Pros: Bright variable display. I've not had any issues with washout in sunlight that some complain about. True it is a little more difficult to see but in AZ sunshine, that's true of my Bushnell Holoscope too. Nice and sturdy and heavy. Not plastic. Cons. It's long.... When mounted, the battery is underneath the sight so sight has to be removed to replace the battery. The reticle selector is damn tough to switch, especially if you are wearing gloves. However, I found the one I like stick to that so it's a minor irritation. BTW, I tried the newer shorter low profile version BSA have. They fixed the battery location and the selector switch... but it's so much smaller. I prefer this one hands down for price and performance.

I originally purchased this sight (my first holographic) to go on my AR-15 A3. I have heard that they work really well for 3 gun competition, but the sight never made it that far. I put it on my High Standard Victor .22 LR and it is so much fun that I can't bring myself to put my iron sight rib back on! It fastened on the Weaver rail perfectly and firing the light recoiling 22 round, it shoots one hole 15 yard groups all day! So far this product has functioned flawlessly for me. I really like having the different reticle patterns for various types of shooting. My preference being the circle/dot combo. The only complaint I have is when shooting on a really sunny day with the sun to my back it is difficult to see the patterns and almost impossible to see the dot. Aside from this I think it is an excellent sight, especially for the price.

I have seen similar sights that are difficult to see in direct sunlight but this sight is visible on medium intensity. Seems to hold zero perfectly. In my opinion this is a great sight, especially for the low price.

I ordered 2 of these for 1st for price 2nd for quality. Outfitted a Buckmark and AR with the BSA RMRS Both holding zero after 300 plus rounds spent.

Put this on my Beretta Neos 22. Fabulous for the price (1/2 off on sale). I had the misfortune to drop my gun on a linoleum-covered concrete floor and it landed on the top of the aperature ring. That dented the ring and chipped the glass but it saved the gun. Best part is it still shoots straight as an arrow with no readjustment. Amazing!

The good: Shooting a 16-inch barrel AR-15 (flattop) at 100 yards, using factory ammo I was able to place all my shots within a 2.5-inch circle. The bad: the 2 MOA dot cannot be seen in the daylight at all, even at the highest setting. The best setting is the 25 MOA circle with the 6 MOA dot. Overall a good value for the money.

I have had my sight for several months now and initially was unhappy with it as it would turn off after a few minutes of shooting. For several weeks it sat in the closet then I decided to give it another chance and remounted it on my S&W 41. I inserted a new battery and when I tightened the battery cover down I did it with a screw driver as opposed to just using my fingers. It now never turns off and the more I use it the more I like it. Aside from the 2 MOA dot reticle I do not care for the other reticles. I am shooting 50' bullseye only and the other reticles cover up too much of the target. This sight is a little heavier than many other that I have tried and at first I did not care for that but now I have found that moving it forward on my gun's mounting ramp I find that I have improved my accuracy. I find the clarity and the field of view through the reflex lens to be excellent. On my sight the dial that selects the reticle is very hard to turn but this poses no real issue. Windage and elevation adjustment are very good and I like the matte finish. I have noticed that many other heads up sights the lens is glued in. This one is held in very solid with a threaded retaing ring. The lens is coated and had a pink cast from the front yet has a slight green cast when viewed from the rear. This coating does not at all impair low light visibility. Given its price and having tried several other sights this is a very good value. I would probably rate it as excellent if I did not have the initial turning off problem and if the reticle selection knob worked more easily. As it is a rather bulky rather heavy sight it might not be a good choice for a small framed hand gun but it works well on my S&W 41 (has 7" barrel ) and believe it would do also on other similar sized hand guns. I have shot many groups off a rest and have been able to tighten up the groups to the standard that the gun is able to shoot. If I were given the option to buy it again I would select the other model that comes with only the different dot sizes. However, if that sight was not an available product I would buy this one again.

Went back to the range a week later and had the same problem every with a negative rating had. Came home and dug out the box to return it, but decided to troubleshoot it first. Found the included battery was only 2volts instead of 3volts. I replaced the battery and all is well. Ran a hundred rounds through the gun with zero problems

Very good holosight. Purchased for my father to be upon his Ruger Mark II and it has no problems with the light recoil. Battery life is excellent considering it has accidentally been left on for extended periods and shows no signs of a weak battery. Easy to see in sunlight and not blinding in the dark. Good for defense or target practice as it has many reticle styles suited for different uses.

This is not a $500 holographic sight nor is it appropiate for 1/2 inch groups at 100 yards. It is a great sight for casual shooters--it is fun and easy to swap between handguns nad rifles without a lot of adjustment time. I have used it on a 357 S&W, a 22 Mag Remington, several other 22's and a saiga 410. I would buy another.

I was really worried about getting this optic because of the mixed reviews and because the info advised that it mounted on a dovetail mount. I was pleasantly surprised with the fit and finish of this product and the fact that it does mount on picatinny rails. Mounted it on my delton m4 upper and it looks right at home. It was, however, too long to mount on the receiver with my BUIS. All in all a great buy, I'll doubt you'll be disappointed!

Great sight for the money. I installed one on my friend's mini 14 and liked it so much I put one on my M4. The only drawback is that you have to remove the sight from the gun to replace the battery. Also, make sure the battery door is TIGHT or you may have occasional problems with the reticles (flickering, and/or not working at all).

I just got a .223 AR and wanted to put a red dot on it. I was operating within a budget and saw this BSA Holo Sight. It seemed pretty sturdy so I decided to give it a try. I mounted it to my handle scope rail and went to the range. It was a nice sunny day and I had absolutely no problems seeing any of the 4 options. As a matter of fact I didn't even need to come close to maximum brightness to use it. I shot a shot group at 50 yards, all holes touching. I shot 10 shots off hand at 100 yards and all shots were center mass. I have never been a fan of BSA scopes but I don't think that you will find a better deal on this type of sighting device anywhere. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the detail/finish on the numbers and inlays isn't as polished as some of the higher end stuff. With the one year warranty I think it's a pretty safe bet.

I love this sight. I put it on my Ruger 10/22 and it couldn't be more accurate! Out of the box it only took about 15 minutes to sight in and has been dead on for almost a year now. The dot is very visible even in the sunlight, windage and elevation are easy to change and will stay where you put it, and it is easy to remove and put back on when I need to clean my gun! The only complaint is that the finish is starting to flake off. It's no big deal because the metal underneath is black also, but it is pretty easy to tell (that's why I gave it 4 stars). But if you want a reliable sight, this is the one you want! I haven't worn out a battery yet, but always keep a spare close by in case you forget to turn it off.

When I first got it couldn't get it to turn on, but had read where people stretched the battery spring, so I pulled out the spring and streched it. Then I realized that the battery snapped in. Once I did that it came right on. Took it to the range and put 20 rounds down range and it worked fine. Can't beat the $49 price.

I have noticed that others have had trouble with the reticle going out after shooting. I had the same problem. The recoil of shooting would cause the battery to move downwards a hair, losing contact with the upper battery lead. I fixed the problem by stretching the spring below the battery upwards. Now the battery is firmly pushed upward while shooting and does not cause any more problems. Pros: -Good deal for a holo-sight at sale price -No problems with reticle intensity settings -Four reticle patterns are a nice feature -Easy to zero Cons -Finish coating on the metal isn’t the best -Battery issue above I have the sight mounted on a 9mm Beretta CX4 storm and have put 200 rounds through it while using this sight in an indoor range. Overall I have happy with it for what I plan to use it for. You get what you pay for.

Nice sight picture, and smallest MOA dot is visible in direct sunlight. Quality control sucks. 160 rounds on a mini 14 and it started turning off. Disassembled and found all 4 of the screws that hold the rheostat dimmer wheel on where loose to the point of falling out. Repaired myself because of the Great BSA customer service that I’ve heard about, a little locktight and we'll see if it holds together . I guess you get what you pay for.

Mounted on 44mag shooting soft loads. I took 2 shots and the elevation screw pulled out. I screwed back in 2 more shots and the screw was stripped and pulled out by recoil once again. I also noticed front that holds glass was moving and starting to get loose. After 6 shots, this sight was falling apart. I emailed BSA for a new screw to fix the problem with no answer. So I guess I have to send this back to Midway for a refund since I only had it 2 weeks. The reticles was clear and bright in the sun and inside. It would be a great sight if it could handle the recoil.

Just got this BSA Holographic sight and I am already very dissatisfied in the black finish. It was very sticky when I opened the plastic covering it so I thought it was just preservative of some type and I could wipe it off, WRONG it is the black finish that is not cured or something it just stays sticky and if you wipe it with anything the black comes right off and turns gray. Very tricky installing battery too. I will be returning this.

Battery was so weak it had to be replaced immediately. On highest setting and largest dot, it would pretty much wash out in sunlight in early afternoon. No matter how transported (soft, hard or no case at all) it has not yet held zero on multiple trips to the range. Doesn't always give a click on windage/elevation adjustments. Body and mount should give good service. I got what I paid for...

I believe I'm hooked on holographic sights. With very old eyes the holographic sight is a blessing. During a recent sale I bought the BSA holographic product number 910680. Installed it, this past weekend, on a S&W Mod 22A. After about 2 clips I had it sighted in at 25 yards which was the longest distance I had available at my indoor range. Shot really well for about 10 minutes. Then it went blank, the light went out. Fiddled for 5 or 10 minutes and finally got it lit again. Seemed like it was in the rheostat but that's only my uneducated guess. I then fired about 7 or 8 clips of 22LR. The sight turned off every other shot or so. Nothing would make it stay lit. Sometimes it went back on right away, sometimes it took awhile. Took the sight off the gun and found that if I torque it lengthwise it would light but when I release the torque it went out. Long story short, it's going back to Midway but I guarantee you I'll buy another brand. I guess you do get what you pay for.

I have just sent back my second unit. Both times I had issues with the intensity knob. At this point, I cannot rate it very high, however if the next one works as it should, I will let you know.

A good sight if it works. The reticle is plenty bright, even in the middle of the day. I don't know what sight other guys are using. Anyway, mine worked fine when I first got it. 2 months later, the reticle flickers in and out when set to about half the brightness settings. Very annoying. BSA just has poor manufacturing so it's a hit or miss kind of situation. Like I said, it's a really good sight for the money when it works.

This item has a decent selection of reticles, which I liked, but it was not durable. After about 1,000 rounds through my M1A, the internals that hold the diode in place (which projects the red dots) broke loose. I repaired them myself with a bit of super glue. After another 1,000 rounds, the selector switch which selects intensity and functions as the on/off switch and battery holder worked loose. I have no way to repair this and now the device will not stay on unless pressure is applied upward on the bottom of the selector knob. In other words, the concept of the product was good, but the reliability stinks.

Installed on AR-15, initially liked it until the reticle came loose from switching patterns. Pattern would stick a little off zero. Had to take it apart and tighten set screw twice until superglued. Don't really trust it now.

Was very excited about getting this product. Took it out of box, read directions, installed battery and put on barrel. The dot was WAY left of center and could not adjust to center of reticle. THEN, battery died about 3 minutes later. I DIDN'T EVEN GET TO USE IT FOR EVEN ONE SHOT!! This is the worst quality control item I have ever purchased. DON'T BUY IT!! Midway should not sell something of this quality.

Don't waste your money. I put this on my AR, was easy to zero and seemed accurate but it didn't last more than 200 rounds before the illumination adjustment become very loose and caused the laser to go out. If you push the nob back up the thing lights up. I can see no way to fix this myself nor will I send it to BSA for a fix as it is not worth it. You can not cheap out on optics so I will be buying an EOTech which has seen lots of reliable use in Iraq, Afghanistan and law enforcement. You have to pay for quality and durability.

Like others was concerned about the quality of the device with the low price. Read through the reviews and decided to give it a try based on mostly positive feedback. Unfortunately my experience was not as good as most of those reviews. Mounted it on a flat top CMMG chambered in 5.56 Nato. Boresighted it (with laser) in my living room and took it to the range. The reticle was visible at higher settings even in bright sunlight. However, the first couple of rounds caused the reticle to dim. Subsequent rounds caused it to flicker on and off and after about 6 or 7 rounds it flickered out, never to return. I reread the reviews from others with similar problems, tried some of their home grown fixes (torque the body, etc.) and wrote BSA customer service an email. BSA responded with a suggestion to replace the battery. I did (had already tried that) and dutifully reported it to them. Also tried all 4 reticle patterns and full range of intensity setting multiple times and reported that too. No joy from BSA. They then opined that the unit might be defective and if I wanted to I could send it in for repair, 4 to 6 week turn time. They also said they "strongly suggest that you return it to the place you purchased it from." Their emphasis, not mine. Interesting comment as a lot of manufacturers tend to want to handle their own dirty laundry and leave the retailer our of it. I decided to take advantage of Midway's customer satisfaction policy and sent it packing back to them today. I am happy for the folks who had good luck with the unit but for me it was a lesson yet again that you often get what you pay for. Won't be repeating this experience again soon. Will use the Midway credit to put against a more robust sight.

Front elev screw stripped out on both units I bought and I had them installed on .22 rifle so it has nothing to do with recoil. Sloppy build and quality. I love the sight picture. both eyes open sighting, no large framing to visually impare direct view like an EOTECH or aimpoint. Man I want it to work. Since I have read of others with same prob and I have same prob with 2 units, I have to say don't buy.

Let it be known that you get what you pay for. I attempted to put this on my AR-15. This sight has a really bad halo effect, the dots are not round, and they are also fuzzy. If this is going to be placed on a cheap firearm be my guest, I'm purchasing an EOTech. Quality comes at a high price, that price is worth paying.

Sight was mounted on a Carbon AR15. After 3 shots the dot went out. Removed the sight and reset the battery. Fired two shots, adjusted the sight, two more shots, seemed OK. Fired two more and the zero shifted about 10 inches at 50 yards. Never could maintain zero more than 5 shots. Returned for replacement. The second one acted the same way. Zero shifts as if something is loose inside and the battery needs better contacts. Also extreme parallax (vertical only) at 50 yards.

Works fine as long as the gun is not fired. Upon firing the reticle disappears and will only reappear if battery is reinstalled...makes sighting-in impossible. Piece of junk...save your money.

Finally took it out to the range mounted on my DPMS Lo-Pro AR-15 (223 cal). I was absolutely disappointed in that after firing one round, the reticle disappeared. I rotated the brightness and reticle selectors to no avail. About two minutes later, the reticle re-appeared. I was able to fire two more rounds before it disappeared and didn't re-appear until I got home. At home I checked the snugness of the battery (removed and re-installed it) and rotated the brightness control and reticle selector. Everything appeared to be working fine at home. Back at the range two days later, I fired one round and the reticle again disappeared. This time it didn't come back for an hour. The sight appears to work fine so long as you don't fire the gun. I returned this sight for a refund.

I was very disatisfied with this sight. (1) The reticle selection knob was almost impossible to turn, even while holding the sight in my hand, and being able to grasp the knob firmly. This knob should turn easily, with finger pressure only. (2) The rear mounting screw was rusty. (3) Both the elevation and windage adjustment screws appear to have been gouged by someone using the wrong size screwdriver. The damage is not severe, but it should not be there on a brand new sight. (4) This sight is of very poor design, with the battery compartment underneath the sight, making it necessary to dismount the sight when replacing the battery. I also like to remove batteries from any battery-operated sight when it will be out of use for a while, and would not want to be constantly dismounting/remounting the sight just for that. (5) Instructions are either vague or incorrect. There is no clear indication of which direction the sight is to be mounted, i.e. no front/rear/left/right is designated on the sight or mentioned in the instructions. In the Mounting section, it states "Securely tighten the locking screw with the Allen Wrench provided with the sight." However, there is no "locking screw" designated in the diagram, nor is there one to be found on the sight, nor is there an "Allen Wrench provided" with this sight. I understand that Midway did not manufacture this sight, but I think Midway has an obligation to customers to sell good quality products. I would not consider this particular BSA sight to be of good quality, and am very disappointed in this product.
