Worked perfectly in my Beowulf 50. Made seven serious holes grouped at 1 inch at 100 yards. Should be outstanding for eastern deer hunting this fall.

Great hunting bullet for the 50 caliber Beowulf rifle! Don't need a cannelure for a taper crimp like the Beowulf uses! Should be like getting hit by Amtrak for a game bullet.

I contacted Midway before they had stock on this item about the missing cannelure groove and grain weight. I can't see how they can sell them without the crimping cannelure for use in the s&w 500 magnum. I have been using Remington Core-Lokt Bullets in my 500 mag. but they have the crimping cannelure, also they are 385 grain. They shoot great... I wouldn't consider using these without the crimping cannelure for my s&w 500 magnum. I believe these should be listed as sabot reloads for 12 gauge shot gun shells.

I ordered these before the photo was posted next to the product description, so I didn't realize that they don't have a crimping cannelure. Maybe not a big deal to some folks, but considering the recoil of the .500 S&W, I'll use a cannelured bullet.
