The best scope I have ever owned! Bright and clear out to edges. Mil Dot is the ticket if you are used to that system. Added 15 minutes onto my shooting time at dusk.

Crisp at 20x for target beyond 100 yards, at 6.5 ideal for stalking. Turrets have excellent positive clicks, lightweight.

Great glass, repeatable adjustments, probably the best scope I have ever owned, Leupold needs to offer it with M3 knobs and it would be perfect.

I recently purchased this scope with two others, a Leupold VX-3 6.5x20x50 Long Range Target with Varmint Hunters Reticle and a Zeiss 6x24x56 Diavari VM/V with a mil-dot reticle. I have a review on this scope too if interested. Mechanically this scope appears to fall in between the Zeiss and Leupold Target model scope for feel and ruggedness. All of the adjustment knobs and their feel as you use them speak of quality and ruggedness. I prefer the look and feel of the tactical knobs over those used on the target models. Optically the target model and this one are equal. This scope is of the new series with the index-matched lens system and associated coatings. It makes a difference. When compared optically to the Zeiss this scope comes in a close second, but the Zeiss clearly wins out. It should, it cost twice as much! The Leupold has considerably more windage and elevation range and is much easier to carry around on top of a rifle than the Zeiss. I prefer the mil-dot reticle Leupold uses over some other brands as the mil-dot area in this scope is much larger than on many other scopes. I just wish Leupold would offer their Varmint Hunter's Reticle in this line of scopes too. With their new lens and coatings system Leupold gives up nothing to the competition until one spends 50% more. I own several Burris and Nikon Tactical scopes of their latest designs and over all dollar for dollar and feature for feature I prefer the Leupolds.
