I bought this scope to use on a 35 Whelen Imp. Scout rifle that I was making to take to Alaska, and it has performed wonderfully. The eye relief is as close to perfect as it can be. I've shot many groups that have been under an inch at 100yds, something that I didn't even dream of when I got the idea of using a variable power pistol scope on a scout rifle.

Mounted this scope on a 44 magnum Ruger Super Red Hawk. Big and heavy, it helos reduce felt recoil. Shooting 310 gr LSWC at 1,300fps, the scope stood-up to the 1,500 rounds of shock without shifting POI. Over sand bags, 50yds 2" quite easily achievable with 8x setting. Only complaint is the long eye relief, especially problematic with the mounting on the Super Red Hawk which is closer to the eye. Weight could be a problem in the field, in long hikes and holding up the gun for more than a few minutes. Closer distances show some distortion of the image. Eye placement critical to get full view and clear cross hairs. Overall just an adequate scope. Would have gotten something lighter or a fixed power 4X.

I really like this scope. American made, good price, great quality. I bought mine on sale back in the fall. It is really clear and holds zero perfectly so far. I have it on a T/C Encore handgun in .204 Ruger. I have shot about 80 rounds through it. The huge handgun will take some getting used to but the scope rocks!

This is my first high power and variable power pistol scope. After reading that Mead (the telescope) Co. had acquired Weaver and Redfield I felt they should be able to make a good scope. It has surpassed my expectations and allowed me to shoot a five shoot group just over 1/2in. @ 100yds. With my 14in. .223 Contender. I was not even aware it could shoot this good! The optics are super clear, even at the edges. It is still a pistol scope and you must get used to the eye relief and looking thru the center of the optics. I feel this scope was a bargain!!! I hope to get a couple more before people catch on and drive the price up.

Nice sturdy construction. Excellent finish and mechanical zoom system. Price is the cheapest for the zoom range. Optics though need improvement for close-in shooting. Some distortion of image noted at 5-15 yrd range. However for long distances over 20 yds, no problem. Eye relief is long. You need to mount the scope really forward of the gun. Somewhat heavy. I mounted mine on a Ruger 10" barrel 22. Overall good performance but need to improve optics some more for closer distance.
