This offset flashlight mount comes in handy when used with a vertical grip. The flashlight is held offset in a way such that it gives the forward hand easy access to the rear activation button on the rear of the flashlight.

I own three of these. They are perfect for mounting flashlights or IR illuminators on a Picatinny rail where your thumb can activate the rear momentary button when using a vertical grip. They will hold flashlights from 0.87" to 1.10" diameter. This version is mounted by using an Allen wrench.

This mount is well made, nicely finished, and attaches very solidly to my Troy Pic. rail handguard. Easily positioned a G2 Nitrolon at the right location for sure, positive tailcap operation with a TangoDown Stubby VFG. Seems to be very stoutly constructed, and appears as if it could endure a good deal of abuse without failure. My G2 light was a snug fit, but is held firmly in this mount's vise-like grip. It isn't going anywhere once the 4 allen screws are tourqued down tight. Highly recommended! Thanks!

As expected, first-rate quality from DD. Excellent fit, finish. however, the design places the light farther away from the rail than I would like. Either a longer thumb or 3/8" narrower mount would be ideal for me. Pretty sure my hand is finished growing though. Your game DD. I recommend getting the PAK mount if you mess with your equipment a lot.

My perception about this brand was very high but using this mount brought my confidence level to zero. I think for a tactical product you do expect an ultimate quality and performance but this wasn't the case for me and this product. When I installed the rail section the lower unit simply cracked and the surefire light was dropped. I am lucky at least a $300 light wasn't damaged. I'll return it for refund and thanks to Daniel Defense for costing me the shipping charge.
