The weapon Shield works as advertised. It cleans extremely well even though it does not have a solvent content. The long lasting lubrication it offers is outstanding. It stays in place without migration, does not flash off under heat and does not evaporate off as fast as other CLP's while in storage. As a protectant it's outstanding. Living here in the humid south I have yet to see any corrosion on my weapons. But the most outstanding feature for me is it reminds me of an old fashioned gun oil with its higher viscosity. The scent of the oil is very pleasant and not petro chemical. Also the Weapon Shield does not cause rashes on my skin like other CLP's. So it's also user friendly.

Superior gun lubricant. I ordered my sample from Hotel 23 forum. As soon as I used it, I ordered some from Midway. You can use it more sparingly than CLP so it lasts longer and it doesn't stink. I fired a whole box of ammo (50) the first time I hand applied it and when I got back from the range I racked the slide back to pull a bore snake through, and the barrel looked just like it did before I left! The local PD is going to test it on their AR carbines (1000 rds), to see if it will burn off the over heated AR bolts. I will post results. Doesn't give the wife a headache. I previously was using FP-10 (no more) and Militec (OK).

I have been a Break free CLP user for years!!! However, after a friend recommended Weapon Shield to me, both my father and I have switched to Weapon Shield. We have not used any other products on any of our firearms because Weapon shield is hands down the best CLP out there on the market. Also, with Weapon Shield having a light smell of cinnamon to it, it makes cleaning and maintaining your firearms a pleasure, apposed to others CLP's on the market which have a strong chemical odor.

This is the best CLP I've used. I put a light coat of this on the all the internal parts of my 9mm and fired 50 rounds of WWB. When I was done I was able to clean the whole thing with just a rag and some Q-tips. No scrubbing, all the carbon just wiped away and it only took a few minutes to get it completely clean. Also made the gun run very smooth as well. Very good stuff!

Don't usually hand out five stars but... Simply put, this is the best lubricant/protectant you can buy. It has made everything I shoot run smoother and clean easier afterwards. It is not obtrusive to the nose, does not gum up or evaporate, and it does not make a huge mess after you apply it. It has the perfect consistency. You will not be disappointed with this purchase!

I have been looking for the 'one-product-do-it-all' for cleaning my firearms for years. I have tried everything imaginable. There are some fine products out there, but, none could do all three jobs well. Clean, lubricate, and protect. I finally found one. Steel Shield cleans the bore great! It is a high viscosity so it stays in place well. Since it is a synthetic, it doesn't attract dust as much as other cleaning products. I dumped all the other firearm cleaning products and will not look back!

Simply excellent. Try it and you will never go back to what you were using before. Stays put, doesn't burn off, wipes clean after a shooting session. It even smells good!

I have used Hoppes 9 and Break Free CLP for years. Gun Shield does all they do but better. This is a superior product that cleans and lubricates with no smell. I apply it to the firearm with a nylon brush and wait about 15 minutes and cleanup is a breeze. Highly recommended !

This is by far the best CLP I've used in the past ten years. To test it, I cleaned my rifle with #9 and then, when patches were coming out clean, I ran a patch with WeaponShield down the barrel and got even more garbage out. Now I always keep a bottle in my range bag. The Mrs. likes it because it doesn't "smell up the house" like #9 and it also works really well around the house on things like the squeaky door hinges that were driving someone crazy.
