The revolutionary Signature design produces consistent accuracy, tremendous gripping power and stress-free mounting. These steel rings include a pivoting synthetic insert that increases the scope-to-ring mounting surface while protecting the scope finish. Additional Pos-Align Offset Inserts can be purchased (sold separately) to correct any misalignment of receiver holes or rings or even to provide additional windage and elevation adjustment.

CHOOSING RINGS: Ring height is determined by measuring the outside objective (bell) diameter on your scope. If you aren't sure which rings will suit your needs, please refer to the Ring Height Application Chart.

Technical Information: Burris Signature Zee Rings

Material: Steel

Style: Weaver

Ring Diameter: 1"

Ring Height: .230" (measured from base of ring to bottom of scope tube)

Notes:

  • Signature rings have synthetic pivoting inserts which increase scope to ring surface area, create consistent accuracy, give more gripping power and enable scratch free and stress free mounting.
  • Mounting hardware included.

    Offset Insert Option:
  • Signature rings may be used with Burris Pos-Align offset inserts (sold separately). These replace the standard inserts that are supplied with Signature rings and are used to move the scope tube within the ring itself rather than using the scope's windage and elevation adjustments alone.
  • Offset inserts are available in .005", .010" and .020" offset distances.
  • Offset inserts have the center opening offset by the amount of distance shown in the description. For example, .005" offset inserts will move the scope tube .005" toward the thinner of the two inserts. The inserts can be used to move the scope tube in the front ring, the rear ring or both rings. The inserts may also be used in any combination as long as the matched halves stay together. A set of .005" inserts may be used in the front ring and .010" inserts in the rear or whatever combination is needed.
  • If the inserts are used to move the front of the scope tube to the right, the point of impact at 100 yards will move to the left approximately 5 inches. If the scope tube is moved in the rear ring to the right, the point of impact will move to the right.
  • Inserts can be used to move the scope tube in any direction needed for windage and/or elevation.

  • Overall Rating: 4.89 stars

I put these rings on top of a cheap Weaver-style base. They are very forgiving. There's no more need to lap rings. They bolt up tight to the scope without harming the scope's tube or the finish. I would suggest you purchase (712472) Pos-Align Offset Inserts Kit. I pulled the bolt and sighted down the barrel of the rifle at a feed bucket 300 yards away. By using the offset inserts, I was able to bring the scope right over the bore of the rifle without moving the elevation or windage adjustments on the scope. These rings are very good without the offset inserts kit. With the kit...the rings are amazing. The scope doesn't get marred. The scope doesn't get mounted in a sharp bind. The internal scope adjustments remain centered. One more thing about the rings. Don't try to spread them to put them on the weaver mount like you have to do some other rings. Remove the long screws and slide the rings over the mount from either end. After the scope is mounted in the rings, you can remove and replace the scope and rings as a single unit. Remove both long screws and slide the scope and rings forward or backward off the scope base.

I was a bit unhappy at first because the package only came with three inserts instead of the 4 necessary. One email to Burris and I had the appropriate inserts in my hands 3 days later. The rings themselves are fantastic! The ability to change cant (to allow more elevation adjustment in the optic) is a HUGE plus, and the lack of ring marks on the scope even after heavy use has me sold on continued use and high recommendations.

I used a pair of these to mount a Sightron S1 3-9x Rimfire scope on a Marlin 980V and they worked great. I was able to readjust the scope in the rings to set the eye relief and level the reticle without any marring of the scope tube. I think these rings are well worth the few extra dollars you'll pay over the cost of standard rings. The availability of the offset inserts is a nice option too if you need to make any coarse windage or elevation adjustments.

I bought a custom 30-06 mouser at a gun show that as the guy said wouldn't shoot, put some signature zee rings on it, and shimmed it and its a shooter now. I also put a set on a 300 ultra mag that kept breaking name brand rings (started with an L), haven't had a problem since. Scopes show no marks when removed from rings

Best rings out there? Probably. I haven't tried them all, but so far I haven't tried any better anywhere. A little pricey, but they won't scratch your scope (good if you switch scopes from gun to gun) and so far I've never had them shake loose. As a bonus to performance, their looks also seem to set off an already nice looking rig much better than cheap X-mart rings.

The rings are very well made and with the inserts you don't have to worry about lapping, ring alignment or marks on the scope. By using the additional offset inserts I got within an inch of the 10 ring at 100 yards without ever touching the dials on the scope.

These rings are the best thing going for mounting scopes on your rifles. Yes , they cost a bit more...but they are worth it. First, the inserts protect your scopes finish, making the scope more valuable should one ever wish to trade it in. Also, these rings have inserts that come in different sizes. These inserts provide the leverage one needs when installing long range scopes,i.e., providing more elevation, that at times eliminates the need to purchase costly long range mounts. In addition, these rings and inserts are invaluable for mounting scopes on AR15 flattops. To sum it up these rings more than pay for themselves in the long run. I only wish that my brother would have listened to me. He bought cheap rings for his expensive scopes and marred them all up.

I have these on my best rifles, and also on the ones with alignment problems. Had them on a 375 HH Mag. They hold tight at the highest recoil, do not mark the scope and offer the widest re-alignment capability short of serious custom shimming. I have the signature Zees and the Signature standard. These rings are for the best and for the hardest to align.

I've used the Signature rings on several projects and they have solved a bunch of problems, from incorrectly drilled mounting holes causing major windage problems to solving Mauser 98 elevation problems where the rear mounting area wasn't leveled correctly with the front. These rings have turned a couple of rifles that I was told wouldn't shoot and was able to buy cheap into great hunting rifles. i.e. the problem being the prior owner couldn't get the rifle to hit paper because of the improperly drilled mounting holes. Also work for long range work buy being able to cant/get 20MOA, on your scope so you can see the target 600-1000 yards away. They are a real plus for the "problem" rifle / scope mount things that happen.

These Rings will not damage a scope, have had no problems with movement on my .340 Weatherby down to .223 Rem I shoot long range...1000 yds. and beyond. You can off-set the scope with their offset rings, tilting the scope downward so the rifle/scope combo can be sighted to shoot to 1000 yds. or farther.

I like these rings so much I won't buy anything else. I am slowly replacing all the other rings I own with these. I have them on everything from a 22lr to my 300wsm with no shifting from recoil. No marks on scopes, no lapping, no special wrenches... Building in elevation without shimming or buying a special base is a huge plus and anyone can do it. I normally don't shoot at extremely long ranges, but I used the inserts (sold separately) to give me a 20 moa boost on my 6mm AI. Now I can miss at extremely long ranges, but not because I don't have enough elevation in my scope!

These are such good rings that I find it difficult to believe that the "other guys" haven't come up with their own version of this product; they really are that great. Now when it comes to guns I do not like plastic components, but Burris definitely hit a home run when they designed this setup. If you happen to have a gun with slightly mis-milled scope mounts, these will allow you to zero your scope with minimal effort using the offset pos-align kit when otherwise you would have to had a gunsmith lap your brand-X rings. Yes, they may cost a little bit more than the competition, but this additional cost is easily offset if you don't have to pay someone else to mount and lap them. This model is now on my two most used high-powered rifles and I couldn't be happier with them. The way the inserts hold the scope in a death grip without even scratching the finish is a beautiful thing to behold. At the same time, they have a classy, sleek design which is a complement to any gun, and you know there are some other ones that are pretty ugly no matter how well they may work. My first set of Signature rings proved their mettle when hunting in Colorado, 1200 miles from home. When a slight mishap while riding a mule in the mountains caused my 7mm Mag to fall out of the scabbard and hit the ground directly on the scope turret (yes a Burris scope), it was still shooting dead on at 200 yards when I test fired it the next morning. That one incident sold me on the product and I went and bought a set for my 22-250. The next time I'm in the market for scope rings you can be sure which ones will be gracing the top of my gun.

No more ring alignment tools or lapping - ever! These will be the only rings I will ever buy or recommend to others. Easy to install, won't mar the scope, and with the offset inserts a wide range of adjustment is available. Plus, the scope stays put even with a steady diet of heavy magnum loads. What's not to like?

I purchased 2 sets of these rings for mounting scopes on my 2 new Savages, a Model 10-FP, and a 12-F/TR. I also bought the Posi-Align Offset Ring Inserts. They saved the day because the holes in the receiver on the 10-FP were drilled so far off I didn't have enough windage adjustment in the scope to bring it to center. By using a +.020 & -.020 insert in the front ring, and a +.010 & -.010 opposite in the rear ring, the scope was perfectly centered with the scope adjustment central. These are the only rings I now use. They have very good holding power, won't mar your scope tube, and they do not require lapping because they self center. The offset inserts can be used vertically, horizontally, or diagonally to achieve any directional movement you may require. No other ring will offer this much versatility.

These rings are top notch. I've used them on everything from the 338 to 22-250. You just can't go wrong. I much prefer these to regular Weavers. I also use the Twist-in Signature Rings - they really shine there as you don't have to sweat the alignment near as much. Great product.

Did not like the flathead base screw at first but after assembling everything it does not look that bad. Just be really careful, I put a nick in my nice laminated stock because of my haste using the flathead driver. I used the .02 inserts in front and back with a ring spacing of 3.5 inches and I could not sight my 22 in, even at 100 yards. My scope had 70moa of total vertical adjustment, and after maxing out, I was still shooting about 8 inches high using some 1280 velocity CCI blazers. I had to take one out. I don't like the bendy cutout knotch design but no one else in the business makes these types of rings for adding more elevation without a canted base. On a burris base, you have to tighten it maybe 1/16 inch before it makes contact. I've noticed a small hairline crack on the edge of the knotch that has me worried. We will see how it holds up with time, I am hoping it is just the matte finish. On warne maxima bases these things fit great. I had to actually pry them on because the fit was so tight so I am happy since it means I won't have to strain the knotch as I tighten it to take up the slack such as in the Burris base.

These will never mar a scope, never kink a scope, and using the inserts you can compensate for barrel droop and most other elevation and windage problems. On the other hand, they are slow and awkward to get on and off the gun (they're about as far from "quick detach" as you can get). They are made from steel and are bulkier and heavier than some rings. They don't come in "low" height. Because of the design, they start at "medium" and go up from there. Also, I wonder why the eccentric inserts are so expensive -- they're just plastic pieces, after all. The bottom line: Burris Signature rings are excellent and can solve some problems that no other rings can handle. I use them often, and when I'm in doubt they're usually the first ones I reach for. At the same time, there are some rifles I don't consider them the best choice for.
