Yello end works great when hunting, can still hear quail flush inside of shooting range. Olive end works great at the range. Bought them for friends and family. Also pretty comfortable.

I have been using these at the range for a year now. Work great and allow me to hear what is going on around me. They do lower the loud sounds to an acceptable level. I have noticed that on some of the heavy rifles (.30 and up) it helps to wear another set of earmuffs because there is still some bite.

Best plugs I've ever used. I bought some for friends, family, and for work, too.

These are Army issue ear plugs for combat operations. They are a good choice for Law Enforcement and armed citizens who might be close to "going hot" in a hostile situation; providing limited but critical hearing protection while allowing you to hear medium level ambient sounds. They are much quicker to get into your ears than foam-type plugs. They come with a small round black plastic case. I've added a key-ring/split ring to the case's "hinge" so I can attach them to various locations. These lower the phyical "sting" & mental stress out of gunfire (yours or theirs), providing you a critical yet often overlooked tactical edge against an advisary. With all the money we spend on defensive tools, these are cheap enough to attach to your sling or vest and have them when you really need them.

They work great! I have two pairs and (unless you're inside), a fifty could be downrange and you're good to go. But, personally, I was hoping that the plastic would be softer. They're a real pain in my ears, and I find myself constantly readjusting them and pulling them out. They kinda give me an "itchy" sensation. (No, it's not allergies) So, it's personal preference. If you can't wear harder plastic plugs in your ear, avoid these. If you can deal with that, these are golden.
