I got my Pacesetter die set, set it up in my press, and the firing pin ejector broke off on the second case. I have used only Lee Dies in 30-06, and found the Lee dies to be even strong enough to punch through a few Berdan cases. Not this one. I got on the phone to Midway, spoke to customer service. I was treated extremely well. Problem resolved immediately! This report is not about the Lee dies, they speak for themselves. This is about the service I have gotten for many years from Midway. When something happens, they do not make you feel compromised, and really go the distance to resolve an issue. They know their products, they are helpful, and courteous. As I was writing this report within monents of speaking to customer service, I got a pop up showing the piece needed was headed for the truck. As a rule, I use Midway first. I have never felt compromised with anything Midway has, or done.

I've used this set if dies for over 16 years. They show no wear or loss of accuracy. The taper crimp die puts the crimp firmly in the cannulure of the bullet for consistent uniformity.

As a user of RCBS equipment exclusively over the last 15 years, I decided to try the Lee dies in .30-06 mainly because of the huge price difference. Suffice it to say that I'm impressed with the quality and the function of the Lee dies. The Lee dies can be adjusted without tools which is a big plus. The adjustments stay where they're set just fine. The sizing die makes necking up .270 win brass to .30-06 quite easy. The sizer die has a relief hole on the shoulder to allow accumulated case lubricant to escape, virtually eliminating oil dents in the shoulder. I also purchased the "Factory Crimp" die with the set and my ammunition is more consistent and accurate. I do not have to worry about cases of different lengths causing crushed necks from over-crimping a long case. All in all I'm VERY pleased with my purchase of Lee dies and I'm now kicking myself for spending all that money on RCBS over the years, when Lee's product is as good or better for less money. Good job, Lee!

I purchased this die set for my 30-06 and loaded some great shooting ammo. I liked them so much I bought a set for every caliber that I hand load. Don't let the low price fool you, they are just as good as dies costing much, much more.

Loads outstanding ammo, if you do your part. I am a small commercial reloader and use Lee dies almost exclusively because of their performance and price. The load data included on oddball calibers is a major help. As for other's problems, I load around 8-10 thousand 30-06 rounds annually and have no idea what they are talking about.

I'm ordering my second set. The first set rusted when I moved to Costa Rica. Never used the resizing die, as I use new WW brass. The ammo loaded with these dies (WW748 powder, 147 gr FMJBT) shot to WELL under 1 MOA in my GI M1 Garand. Truly unbelievable. I can't get factory ammo anywhere near that good. The crimp die is the real key here, and at any price, I don't need to try anything else. I've heard the resizing die is a bit off, but don't know from personal experience.

I've been reloading for years, but this is my first experience with Lee dies. I was dubious because they are so much less expensive than the competition. I am very happy with the performance of the dies. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the polish on the decap/expander stem is kind of rough. This made the neck sizing portion of the stroke kind of rough. The little wipe of imperial die wax I'm used to using resulted in several stuck cases. I chucked the stem in the drill press and polished it with crokus cloth for couple of minutes and problem solved. For 1/4 the price I can do a couple minutes of polishing. The factory crimp die is fantastic, if not brilliant. As close to idiot proof as anything in reloading can be, and it really works. I recommend these dies if you don't mind doing a little polishing to make them run well.

The dies are up to the usual Lee quality and perform very well. I did find that the sizing die did not seem to size the case completely to the bottleneck. This may be something that should be brought to the attention of the manufacturer.

I have used other Lee dies before and they are functionable for what I need, and priced low. That being said the re-sizer die was way too small in this set. I couldn't pull down hard enough to push the case in the die. Took the die apart cleaned it, and lubed it and still got same results. Tried some RCBS dies with the same brass and had no trouble re-sizing. Gave Lee a call and the guy said it was because I wasn't using Lee lube! Told me if I wanted to ship them to Lee they would take a look at the die for me and see what they could do, and that was my only option. Not good customer service. Spend a couple more dollars and get a good set of dies.
