Designed specifically for the varmint hunter, these bullets feature a large opening in the nose that expands instantly upon impact to create the highest possible opportunity for a one-shot kill. This bullet is not recommended for the hunter who wishes to keep the varmint's hide due to the extreme expansion and possible damage of the pelt. This is not loaded ammunition.

Just like the other person stated, I had horrible groups with the V-max. I tried these Bergers on a recommendation, and glad I did. My best group with a factory M700 was .413" using Benchmark powder, and I was getting 1.8" with the V-max! Berger saved me the cost of a new barrel. I thought my gun was a lemon until I tried the Bergers.

Has to be the go to bullet for coyotes in the .204. My hunting buddy and I have shot several coyotes with our .204's shooting the Berger 35 grain HP. All have been one shot kills without an exit. Shots ranged from 50 to 300 yards.

In the quest for the perfect coyote bullet... something that will drop the coyote in its tracks and not do any fur damage. The Berger 35grain 20cal bullet comes pretty close. When hit right, it drops them like thunder and only has an entrance wound no exit and jello's the insides. When you don't hit them perfect... well you have some stitching to do, but hits them with enough authority where I've recovered all my coyotes. My shots have been from 10 yards to almost 300. Accuracy in my Browning has been 1/2 inch at 100. For those who are interested my reload is H4895, Win Brass, CCI-BR primers.

After trying the Hornady V-max bullets with 100 yard groups 1" or more, I ordered a new barrel, reamer and headspace gauge. While waiting for the new barrel & reamer I decided to try the Berger bullets. I was very pleased with the Berger 35 grain bullets. Groups were cut in half with the same powders with some powders the groups were even less, in the .3's I will be shooting Bergers from now on! Hornady V-Max aren't worth the time & money as far as I'm concerned.

Best bullet I used. I tried Hornady, Sierras, Noslers. I've used 32gn, 35gn, 39gn and 40gn bullets, the 20 Vartarg will shoot all under .5 groups but the 35gn Berger will shoot .1 to .3 groups all day. I use reloader 7, these are 5 shot groups at 100yds. Rem 700 Hart barrel.

I am still in the process of finding the 'best' bullet - load combination for the .20 Practical (.223 case necked down to .20). So far the 35 grain Berger Moly coat has given the best consistent groups with most groups in the 1/2 to 3/4 inch 5 shot groups. The 40 grain Nosler has given me the smallest sized group measuring 0.221" for 5 shots, but I have just started testing it. The Sierra 39 grain should be the best of all with its high Ballistic Coefficient, but the Berger 35 grain has proven to be better than the Sierra.
