I gave it 4 stars based on my expectations of value vs. price. My only complaint is with the rings provided. If I did not have a bore sighter, it could have been a very frustrating day at the range. The scope ran out of adjustment before reaching the center (windage). The vertical was ok. I re-centered the reticle and swapped the positions of the rings (front to back / back to front) and it worked. At the range the scope responded to adjustment well and focused clearly on 9 power from as close to about 35 yards and on lower power settings right up to around 10 yards. This scope replaced a regular inexpensive 3-9x32 rifle scope with the hope it would focus on short range targets and it does well it also looks just fine at 100 yards. It is a good value.

mounted on a 10/22 using a dnz medium height one piece scope mount with the er shaw sporter bbl its got a little gap but i didn't wanna risk getting it to close and having to deal with returns. runs great out to 200 yds. would buy again.

perfect for my ruger precision rimfire rifle

I was looking for a good rimfire scope to place on my RPRR. I was looking for clear glass, easy to read reticle, and quality craftsmanship. The Leupold met all of these requirements. I would have given it 5 stars but it did break after a couple outings with it. The elevation adjustment knob became loose and fell out at a match. However Leupold customer service was excellent and they sent it back to me. I have now had it back on my rprr longerr thand I had it on it originally. whatever the issue was it was fixed and I have the best scope for what I needed on my rprr.
