Great accuracy and good performance

These bullets are very accurate from my 16" 300blk AR. I tried them out on a 150lb 7pt. Shot him at 105yds. Bullet entry was right at top of heart with the exit slightly farther back. With the pass through there was no bullet to examine, but he only ran 15yds. I would not hesitate to use these for hunting, but bullet placement is paramount!

Accurate Round

I use this mainly for target shooting and it works extremely well in my 8 inch suppressed 300blk. Its the most accurate round Ive tested and I am routinely getting 1 inch groups at 100 yards subsonic and suppressed. Im impressed.

Awesome round but data to conclude some of the other comment

I figured that posting chronograph data would benefit those that dont know. An audible crack CAN occur, but rare. Crack of a round occurs around 1050 fps. However, what other posters say, if you don't have a suppressor...it WILL crack or be loud regardless. I run suppressed. Whisper quiet as intended. Unless your in a navy SEAL movie from the 80's/90's, you know that even rounds that are subsonic from a suppressed rifle can and will still be loud. I can tell you there is an 800 FPS difference and the sound reduction from 220 gr to 123 is substantial. These rounds are excellent for the purpose. Groups, they are PHENOMENAL. I've shot around 1500-1700 rounds now and the groups are incedibly consistent. More so from my 10.5-16" than the supersonic. That my friends is a good t...

About Federal Premium

Federal Cartridge Company, as we know it today, started in 1922 when Charles Horn purchased Federal Cartridge and Machine out of receivership. Federal’s first products were shotshells, followed by rimfire in 1924. Over a century later, MidwayUSA offers a complete spectrum of Federal ammunition, ranging from shotshell offerings like: Top-Gun, High Over All, Game Loads, Gold Medal Grand, and Prairie Storm; and centerfire rifle ammunition such as Fusion, Power-Shok, Gold Medal Match, Meat Eater; to centerfire pistol ammunition: HST, Punch, and American Eagle. Federal continues to manufacture rimfire ammo in the form of AutoMatch, Champion, and Game-shok. Lehigh Defense Maximum Expansion 300 AAC Blackout (7.62x35mm) Ammo 194 Grain Solid Hollow Point Lead Free Box of 20

Lehigh's Maximum Expansion Technology is used to produce projectiles that create the largest wound channels of any bullet you can buy. These cavernous hollow points are designed to expand upon contact with a fluid-based medium through hydraulic energy. They do not expand on dry mediums like wood, drywall, bone, or sheet metal. The expansion process of Lehigh's Maximum Expansion technology is very different than that of a traditional lead jacketed bullet that expands when it comes in contact with a hard surface. They designed these bullets to expand where the expansion is needed and that is in the vital zone of your intended target. Lehigh Maximum Expansion bullets expand with razor sharp petals positioned AND maintained at the largest diameter to provide the greatest cutting surface. Contrast this with a traditional jacketed bullet that expands and quickly mushrooms the nose back along the bullets shank once again reducing the diameter down to a less effective size. This ammunition is new production, non-corrosive, in boxer primed, reloadable brass cases.

Features

  • The bullet is made from Copper.
  • This ammo is a proven round for hunting.
  • The bullet in this product does NOT contain lead.
  • This product has been designed to be an effective choice for the ultimate in self-defense applications.
  • This ammo IS SAFE to use in a suppressor.
  • The bullet in this ammo has a ballistic coefficient (G1) of - Generally, the higher the coefficient, the more stable the projectile will be in flight

Looking forward to deer season!

Gearing up for Missouri rifle season, trying to find some good ammo for whitetail. Very impressed with the accuracy at 100 yards from this Underwood sub-load - kept everything on a pie plate in 10 shots with Magpul sights. Throw a Surefire suppressor on (borrowed) and here's a nice hunting load that your neighbors will appreciate - no sonic crack from my friend's Surefire SOCOM 2. Threw a clear ballistics gel block out at 50 yards and the recovered bullet looked just like the display picture. My block is extremely dark so no wound channel picture. Needless to say, the deer won't know what hit them!
