Top 5 Rangefinders
Choosing the right rangefinder can be the difference between hitting your target and missing your target. Whether you are bowhunting in the Midwest or chasing elk out west, you want a rangefinder you can trust. We carry everything from budget-friendly rangefinders to top-of-the-line rangefinders from all of the top brands. Here are a few features to look out for when choosing a rangefinder, along with our picks for the best rangefinders!
Range
When you’re out on your next hunt, you’ll need a rangefinder with more than enough range to keep you covered. For a hunt out west, you’ll want a rangefinder that may have a range of several thousand yards. If you’re hunting the hardwoods in the east, the effective range isn’t as much of a concern. Rangefinders are generally rated for maximum reflective and non-reflective ranges. Reflective targets will normally be detectable at a much greater distance than non-reflective targets. Models like the Sig Sauer KILO8K have an effective range out to 8,000 yards!
Magnification
Magnification can be very important for getting a proper reading on long distance targets. Ensure your reticle is on your target with magnification up to 10x power from models like the Revic BR4 Ballistic Rangefinder.
Angle Compensation
Chances are you aren’t going to have a level shot every time, especially mountain hunting. Angle compensation allows hunters to get an accurate reading based on the elevation changes they’ll likely encounter when hunting. Trust your rangefinder’s readings with angle compensation from models like the Vortex Diamondback, Leupold RX, and Leica Rangemaster.

Great rangefinder for long range hunting.
I've had this rangefinder for a few months now and have used it almost every weekend. If you have quality ammo and all your data correct then you will have first round impacts on your intended target. This rangefinder is much more accurate as far as getting a true range on your actual target. We had a steel plate we thought was 1180 yards from using other rangefinders then I went to the revic br4 and learned that the target is really 1105 and the hill behind the target is the 1180. That explains why we were all shooting high the weekend before. I would buy the revic br4 rangefinder before I ever buy anything else. This rangefinder is #1 on my list. I've ranged a rock out to 3621 with it and we can range our 30"x30" steel target out to 3025 yards with ease. Great rangefinder for ELR shooting as well as hunting.- Coldbore338, 11/6/2021 Shop Now

Good Product for the Price
This product is a great entry level range finder. Although my model is the 450 (good to 450 yards) it ranges well beyond. I have taken accurate readings out to 700 yards. These readings were to objects at known distances, so I know the device was accurate.- Armadillo Assassin, 11/19/2020

Great unit for the price point
Got thisfrom Midway on sale for about the same price as the Ranger 1800 was going for locally. The difference I saw was in the "soft target" rating; 900yd for the 1800, 1400yd for the DB 2000. Took it to the lake with me a week ago, spent some time taking reads on the other side. In clear, direct sunlight I was getting consistent reads on pine trees out to 1600 or so, rocks at 1800. In less direct sunlight, I actually got a few hits way up the mountain at around 2200yd! Light and easy to use. Definitely performs better than advertised for me. YMMV.- Driftertank, 9/7/2022

Shop NowLeupold RX-1400i Gen 2 Rangefinder
The RX-1400i TBR/W Gen 2 enters the market as the most versatile, feature-rich rangefinder in its class. Equipped with a bright red display and our high-performance DNA laser engine, this lightning-fast rangefinder will take your hunting and shooting to the next level.
Its dead-on ranging engine delivers the speed and accuracy serious backcountry sportsmen demand, while its ballistically calculated ranges for riflemen—and Flightpath and trig solutions for archers—simplify even the most extreme uphill and downhill shots. Adaptable and powerful, the RX-1400i TBR/W is the perfect addition to any outdoorsman’s pack. It can also calculate 10-MPH windage holds and display additional holdovers in MOA, MIL, inches, and centimeters.
Don’t know if you have a clear shot? Flightpath technology eliminates doubt by allowing you to see potential arrow obstructions out to a typical distance of 85 yards. This feature has two modes: the default 20-yard mode and Mid mode. The 20-yard mode provides an illuminated mark indicating the height of your arrow at 20 yards. On Mid mode, the mark represents the highest point of your arrow’s path, which is usually halfway between you and your target. Both modes will help you avoid any obstacles that might get in the way of your kill shot.
Whether you're carrying a rifle or a bow this season, you’ll want the RX-1400i TBR/W close at hand.
Features
- True Ballistic Range/Wind for extremely accurate shots
- Bowmode to calculate uphill/downhill shots
- Flightpath technology for arrow apex data
- Selectable reticles
- 1400 yards max range (reflective target); 900 yards for deer
- TOLED Display with red numbers and letters for maximum readability

Glad I waited
I have been shopping for one of these for years. I have seen lots of sales and a lot of not so happy reviews. I saw a review where they liked on of these and I purchased it. Glad I waited. This has an illuminated reticle and I have used it in almost darkness. It has a setting that is very close to the ballistics of my 308, so I can range and then be told a recommendation on how many miles to adjust my scope or aim. It has lots of other options, like trig, for figuring out the height of something or just a simple range, with or without the degrees of elevation. So yes this is a keeper,- Rotorhead, 7/7/2023
About Leupold
Leupold was founded in 1907 by brothers-in-law and close friends Fred Leupold and Adam Volpel. Their company, Leupold Volpel & Co, made surveying equipment by hand. In 1942, Leupold adopted its current company name, Leupold & Stevens. Legend has it that while hunting one day in the 1940’s, Marcus Leupold missed a buck because his rifle scope fogged up. He swore he could make a better rifle scope, and that’s exactly what he did in 1947 with the Plainsman. Today, Leupold is an industry leader in the manufacturing of performance optics including hunting rifle scopes, target rifle scopes, tactical rifle scopes, pistol scopes, shotgun scopes, rimfire scopes, muzzleloading scopes, red dot sights, scope mounts, binoculars, range finders, spotting scopes and performance shooting glasses and sunglasses. So be bold. Be Tenacious. Be Relentless. Leupold performance optics are built by hard-working Americans who are committed to upholding Leupold’s legacy of quality craftsmanship.
