Heavy duty and tough!

Indestructible throwing stars! These make for great fun throwing into log butts or plywood targets. You don't have to worry about damaging the points unless you hit concrete or thick metal. They are heavy and tough! They would do a lot of damage to soft tissue so it would be wise to not allow children or irresponsible adults to "play" with them.

They were better than I expected!

I was eager to get these in hand and try my skill at 'sticking' them in a target I had made for just that purpose. Boy did I learn a lot! First of all, the knives come snugly restrained in the sheath which would keep them from falling out if worn on the belt. My sessions are in the back yard so carrying them is not an issue. The heft of the blades is very nice indeed. They feel solid and stout. I was concerned about the tips, but I found them to be quite robust and stick quite well even though they do not have really sharp cutting edges, just slightly sharp points. After throwing for a while I realized that there is no need for a lengthy cutting edge as they stick quite well with the slightly dulled edges and don't pose quite the hazard a sharp object would. They have an attractive appearance without a lot of exotic images. The lines are quite smooth and they feel good in the hand. Bushcraft Knife. Camping. Survival.

I can't (safely) throw a knife. But if you want a rough tough solid knife, these are hard to beat. Especially for the price. Under $20, they are a steal. The are just one totally solid piece of steel 3/16 inches thick. If you just have to go out and baton your knife, this would be the one to do it. I have 3 well over 20 years old and just bought 2 more. Are they the hardest "Steel of the Week"? Nope. But they are under $20 made of nice 1055 Carbon Steel and you can sharpen them using a handy rock if need be. I have one in every Bug-out, emergency, and camping bag I own. I own a Ka-Bar and the Camillus Fighter, plus the Air Force Survival. Nice knives all, but these are stronger and tougher by far. If you want to see a true Full-Tang knife, get one or more of these. Only complaint - the sheaths bite. Seriously terrible cheap sheaths.But the knives are a dream and I can make or buy a sheath. But you are buying a knife, not the sheath. Pretend the sheath is a free bonus. The one I'm holding in my hand ...
