What Customers Are Saying

Yep. It's as good as it looks!

I thought to myself, "A 4x12 scope, built in the USA, from Leupold, for LESS than $400? Something's off." Seriously, I just "knew" that to get to this low price-point, Leupold must have skimped out on something.... Cheaper glass, maybe? Plastic knobs? I went to my local outdoor shops, all four of them, and I could not find this scope because it was too new. I didn't want to buy it without putting my hands on one, but it nagged at me. A week went by and I finally pulled the trigger. I *LOVE* this scope! I don't have any scientific equipment, light meters, etc, but I would swear that this scope lets in more light at dawn and dusk than my old Leupold 2x9 and for $100 less! It's as well made as any Leupold scope I've used or looked at. The adjustment knobs are all very nice and tight, the eye-relief is as good or better than other Leupolds I've scanned, and the focus is extremely sharp! I haven't had a chance to "Shoot through the reticle" yet, but I'm excited to do so. Living in Colorado, I'm 100%...

Love this scope. My range I go to only has a 650yard range and this scope delivers. Buy a good mount (I bought the American defense socom qd), get it sighted in, and then love it. The glass is better than my primary arms acss scope. Buy once cry once. Love the scope.

4 Vortex Optics Diamondback Tactical Rifle Scope 30mm Tube 6-24x 50mm Side Focus First Focal EBR-2C MOA Reticle Matte

Vortex Optics Diamondback Tactical Rifle Scope 30mm Tube 6-24x 50mm Side Focus First Focal EBR-2C MOA Reticle Matte

The Diamondback Tactical is a long range scope with an affordable price tag. The first focal plane reticle, a feature ordinarily reserved for 4-figure-priced optics, allows shooters to use the information-packed EBR-2C reticles for ranging, holdovers or windage corrections on any magnification. Housed inside its durable, one-piece aluminum tube is a 4x optical system delivering excellent edge-to-edge clarity and sharp resolution. Exposed elevation and windage turrets are low profile enough to stay out of the way in packing situations, but offer the quickness, ease and precision of dialing accurate shots at distance. A side adjustable parallax gives shooters peace of mind by removing parallax error from the equation from 10 yards to infinity. A glass-etched reticle allows for intricate reticle design, and is protected between two layers of glass for optimum durability and reliability.

Features:

  • Extra-low dispersion glass
  • Glass-etched reticle
  • Fully multi-coated lenses
  • Aircraft-grade aluminum, single-piece tube construction
  • First focal plane reticle
  • Exposed tactical turrets
  • Fast focus eyepiece
  • Water, fog, and shock proof

Awesome Scope for the Price!!

I recently purchased a new Browning X-Bolt 6mm Creedmoor and was in the market for new scope to outfit it with. I wanted something with tactical turrets because I prefer to dial my yardage when possible. When I saw this new Diamondback Tactical model was available in 6-24x50 with FFP, I did not hesitate to order it. In my opinion, Vortex did a great job with this scope. For the price point, you get a lot of features that you don't even get with certain more expensive scopes (FFP, Sunshade, 24x Zoom, etc.). And the quality is what I would expect from Vortex. Magnification is clear throughout the zoom range and the turrets have positive clicks and didn't feel mushy to me. Not quite at the level of the Viper PST that I have on my Ruger Precision Rifle, but that's a whole other level of scope, and for my hunting rifle this scope fits the bill perfectly. I mounted it and after zeroing it in, I was consistent with sub-MOA groups. Vortex produces some great optics and their warranty is hard to beat as w...

What Customers Are Saying

Excellent scope for the price...

Have this scope mounted on several rifles and have been very happy with them. The glass / image quality is very clear, not as good as the PST Gen 2, but you really can't expect that from a scope that costs less than half. I'm a big fan of the EBR-2C MOA reticle; which is the same reticle as on my Viper PST Gen 2; makes going back and forth between various rifles a lot easier. This scope also has the parallax adjustment down to 20 yards; that really comes in handy for me as sometimes I am limited to shooting indoors at 25 yards. I also have these mounted on rimfire rifles and often those shots are under 50 yards. There are two things that I feel could be better. First, the turrets. I like that they are exposed but the clicks are a bit mushy, not nearly as tactile as their higher end scopes... again, you get what you pay for. Second, the scope covers. The scope comes with a rubber bikini-style cover that you have to wrestle with a bit to get it over the objective and ocular. I've slingshotted it a...
